When we moved from out of state my daughter really wanted to get back into gymnastics. We love supporting small businesses and this place has quickly felt like where we belonged. The kids are amazing people, the moms are great and the coaches have taught her so much in a short period of time. Highly recommend!
I put my daughter in gymnastics because at three years old she was fearless and attempted terrifying stunts. All I could imagine was her breaking her neck with one wrong move. We started a beginner class hoping to learn basic skills and safety. Within a couple classes her teacher, the owner, Mrs Jennifer had her mesmerized. My daughter was in love and learning new skills quickly (and proud mom was rapidly collecting the first photo album)! Two years later Edge is still just as fun. My daughter is still fearless, she still looks forward to learning new skills, and now she has more friends to bond with during class. And she still has Mrs Jennifer and her other coaches, all of which she LOVES!!!
We have attended this gym for many years now. We love it! We have participated in their recreationalgymnastics, cheer team, and gymnastics team. Couldnt ask for better coaches for my kids. Highly recommend!
Want to send a shout out and thank you to Edge Gymnastics! Joined about 6 months ago and our daughter’s confidence has significantly grown and her gymnastics skills are amazing in such a short period. Proud to be on the team!
My girls LOVE edge gymnastics, seeing them happy makes everything worth it. My girls aren’t the EASIEST children, they have taken the time to calmly approach any situation with them. That by itself has been EVERYTHING!!
Our family LOVES Edge Gymnastics! Great coaches and wonderful experience all around ️Highly recommended!
We love this gym! Raegan has been doing so well there, and I couldn’t be more pleased!!
Poor experience... would give zero stars if allowed..Terrible experience on the team. To begin... the facility is not equipped to adequately train for this sport. They are not adequately staffed..nor do they have the expertise or knowledge to be trusted to train children in the gymnastics sport. I believe it is their belief that simply because the younger coach participated in the lower levels of the sport, she is knowledgeable enough to train. To compare.. It is like taking an individual who took part in baseball in middle school, now having his own baseball team to coach or being assistant head coach. That is silly as well as irresponsible on their part to not hire someone with real expertise in the sport. It is dangerous and they need people with real knowledge and experience if they want to offer all levels of the sport. Not accept the small recreational activity they have done or accept a few years of play in it to be allowed to assist leading their team and classes. Equipment...They are the only gym in the surrounding area that does not have a spring floor... which is a very important part of gymnastics. Children are at high risk of injury and continued unnecessary force on their joints here without the proper equipment. Mrs. Jennifer is the only gymnastics owner in the area to charge full price for her program while my children are out of the gym due to COVID-19. She expects it to be paid in full while she only offers a zoom class. She will inform you are going against her contract if you do not pay. However nothing about the possibility of an outbreak is in the contract and I feel she should not try to force parents to pay her for services she cannot deliver. If they are not in the gym..you cannot charge them as if they were. She is the only gym in the surrounding area that is forcing payment... others are freezing their payment with free zoom classes. I do understand she has bills as well... but so do all of the other nearby gyms and businesses and they do not wish to put their parents in a tougher situation than they are already in due to the pandemic... they are understanding and more deserving of the business they acquire... She does not grasp the fact that if she continues her ways of uncaring for only herself..forcing her hand to them... and being close minded she will lose them all. She is an incredibly cold woman and impossible to talk to because she cannot he reasoned with. If you choose to make the choice to ask her about a problem... she chooses to be close minded and pours excuses to you why it cannot be corrected. We are happy to be leaving this facility in its entirety.
My daughter attended beginners gymnastics at Edge for several months last year. We had to discontinue bc of my health, but she has been begging to return and will be asap. She had a great time & I have no doubt she developed a love for gymnastics with Jennifer & Emily. She also has very loose joints and her elbows dislocate very easily and Jennifer is aware of this concern & is careful to teach her to do things correctly so she does not hurt herself! Very pleased.
Highly recommend!! My almost 2 years old picked up on new stunts the very first day she went. The head coach, Jennifer knows what she’s doing when it comes to this sport & it shows. The prices are beyond reasonable & it’s so worth it! Don’t be fooled by these other reviews. I’ve been to TAG & they were the rudest people of them all but me & my daughter have felt very welcomed here at Edge Gymnastics. We’ll be here for the long run.
The truth is my wife has been coaching gymnastics for years. She has taught thousands of kids. Edge gymnastics has 30 reviews? Some of which are good some are bad. She works really hard to please everyone and really takes it personally when our customers are not happy. Why that is, is because she loves each and one of the children she has taught. She has given them a piece of what she is passionate about and piece of herself. She is one of the most giving people I know and if you choose Edge Gymnastics that is what your children will receive along with great instruction.
We love Edge Gymnastics! My daughter has been going here for a year and a half and she has grown so much!!! Not only in the skills but also in confidence!! Her coach is so good with girls and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!I consider this place a part of our family!
I have had my granddaughter here for 2 years and we love this place. The owner/coach Jennifer Sawyer is great. Not only is she a wonderful coach she treats every child there as her own. I highly recommend this gymnastics center.
I had girls on the competitive team here for two years. It was a joke. The absolutely most unprofessional experience I have ever had with any business anywhere, if you could even call this a legitimate business. It feels more like a scam in which they use your children against you to milk money out of you. When any questions or concerns about where our money was going or how it was being used was brought to the attention of the owners, they would quickly respond with demeaning and condescending remarks like, Gymnastics is an expensive sport, dont be naive, or If you cant afford it why did you even join the team? I understand, we didnt have enough money growing up for me to be able to compete either. When in reality, I am fully aware of how expensive gymnastics is. I can read and do math, so well in fact that I can even figure out how to fit this into my budget. My main issue, which i shared with EVERY other parent I got close to during our time there, was that we didnt feel like the coach/owner was delivering on her end of the bargain. She promised more coaches, better equipment(which we raised money for through fundraising), more focus on skills and conditioning. I had no problem paying the fees if my girls were receiving adequate training and coaching. But they were not. With 20 girls on the team and one coach with one 18 year old ex-gymnast coach, and an occasional 14 year old coach and two hours to practice, what could they possibly be learning. I literally sat with a stop watch during practice to see how long my girls stood still, in line or just goofing off, waiting for their turn. ONE HOUR!!! Half of practice is spent standing. I would need pages upon pages to go into detail of our experiences with the owners their and how they handle anything, from the training of our kids to business operations, but I will highlight just a few. If you see through their scam and decide to leave the gym she will bad mouth you, they also make us sign a contract stating that we will not talk among ourselves about any of our personal experiences with the gym or the coach(unless they are good ones), and whatever you do, dont leave a review that unveils the truth of how they operate on all levels. You will be harassed and demonized by email and all over facebook. My advice is to stay as far away from this gym as possible. They claim to be doing this as a sort of mission for the girls and that they love and genuinely care about each and every child there. Well if you scroll down through the reviews you will see where the owner responded to a parent of a child who is on their competitive team as if he is not a member of their gym!!!! They care so much that they dont even know who the parents of these children are. Its all about the money. They are packing as many girls as possible on that team, whether they can do a cartwheel or not, just to cover their overhead. It is not about the girls and their training, or their well being. It is about one thing and one thing only.
STAY AWAY from this place! Go to TAG, GCC, or ANY other gym. For starters Jennifer lies about money. She will say she hasn’t been paid when she has. She’s done this on several occasions. She doesn’t have the ability to train anyone who wants to take this sport seriously. All of the other gyms in the area have gymnasts up to level 10. Edge only has up to silver and level 3. Anyone who has been at a higher level here has left, because she can’t train them properly. She is not willing to fix anything that is wrong with her gym. She refuses to take any blame for anything. She cannot and will not be able to be a better coach and business owner until she accepts that she’s doing it wrong. She’s a narcissist who will manipulate you. She can’t coach well at all, and she expects you to get a private lesson so they do better. If she would do her job to begin with, parents wouldn’t need to pay for unnecessary private lessons. We were supposed to have a private lesson on several occasions and she didn’t even show up. Her rec classes are far from decent. When we confronted her with our problems, she got defensive, and in complete denial, then proceeds to block my wife and I. If you care about your child and your wallet stay AWAY from this god awful place. It should be closed down! I am shocked that they are still in business. I hope someone with importance investigates this gym soon and they close the doors on it for good.
You won’t find another gym in town that will love your children like this gym. They will gently challenge children of ALL abilities, whether or not they do team gymnastics. No more sitting in a beginner class for years waiting for something new to be learned. In other gyms, you either do team or there’s not much challenge. There is no other gym that does fun meets the way this gym does either. It’s a very gentle and positive way for kids to be involved in rec competition. Three of my children (one boy and two girls) have greatly improved their coordination, which has improved learning skills as well. They have learned self-control, self-discipline, people skills, perseverance and self-efficacy. They’ve worked through fear of failure and negative “I can’t” thinking. And they have done all this while having FUN and not realizing it was “educational.” This gym is for the athletically gifted, the “average” kids and those with special needs - everyone. All will get individual attention. I can’t wait to enroll my fourth child in the Mommy and me class as soon as she is old enough. The Friday night parents night out and camp are awesome too. My daughter has never had more fun at any camp. They go all out to make it a special experience. We’ve done a few private lessons, and these are also worth every penny. We’ve even had a birthday party here. Can’t imagine what we would have missed out on if we had not found this place.
The owner is probably the most unethical person I’ve dealt with in a long, long time. She’s unorganized and feels her time is more valuable than yours. Lying to her is as natural as airing all her dirty laundry on social media, which she does each and every time someone disagrees with her. I think she lies so much and so often that she’s incapable of even knowing what the truth really is and believes her own delusions. She has to, because I can’t figure out any other explanation as to why someone would make so many things up. The fact that she has a 2.8 google review speaks volumes. Read them and decide if you want to deal with someone like that and/or leave your children in her care. There are so many better options out there, and they don’t require a ridiculous contract either. That also says a lot. If you can’t stand on your performance like every other facility, YOU just might be the problem.EDIT: I see the owner responded. She deleted the posts on her personal page - I have screen shots though so that’s fine. I would never swear at my daughter or anyone else for that matter. That lie irritates me the most. I would never have posted this had you not lied on your Facebook page to garner attention. The fact that your Facebook post doesn’t even match what you’re saying here is proof of your lies. There are so many false statements in your response that I refuse to play your games. Your rating and how many people have had problems with you speak for itself. You can have all your friends type of fake reviews to up your rating all you want. I won’t delete this. People need to know who they’re dealing with.
My daughter Loves edge gymnastics. She goes 3 days a week and really looks forward to going. Jennifer is a great coach. She takes her time with the kids to make sure they get the skills right. I can definitely see progress in my daughters gymnastics since starting there.
Do not go here. It’s terrible and Jennifer is an awful person to do business with. My husband and I hope this place will close soon so they can’t do this to people anymore. Oh and don’t be surprised if you see “5 star reviews” after our truthful ones. The ones who actually believe her narcissistic ways will leave a good one after she posts about ours on Facebook. She will deny it all and insinuate that we are lying, and to leave a good review. Heed the warnings people. GO ANYWHERE ELSE
My daughters are so happy at Edge gymnastics! We have been going to Edge for two years and my girls have learned and grown so much! My oldest is on the competitive team. She always looks forward to practice and other team events. The coaches care about the girls, their progresss and their safety!
I love your place and the people very friendly ️
My daughter does competitive gymnastics here and we couldnt ask for a better gym and coaches! She has progressed so much!
We Love Edge Gymnastics........my daughter is learning and gaining confidence, I do recommend Edge if your looking for a place your child can grow.
Wasn’t very happy with the things that went on behind my back with my child. Also was t happy about the fact that the owner felt she had to block me from post a review on her business Facebook page.
The guy below me hit the nail on the head.
Non approachable people and very unstructured. Would not recommend.
My girls LOVE taking Gymnastics here!!
Poor, unprofessional establishment.
