We played this golf course in November so it was quite soggy in some areas. The layout can be a little confusing so follow the signs carefully. We took a cart since we were told ahead of time that there is a lot of walking between holes as well as strenuous elevation changes. The course is challenging and the two finishing holes can punish you if youre not careful. The food in the bar/restaurant is very good too!

The course was nice, a little wet due to the rain. The greens were inconsistent due to sanding. The staff was very nice. My biggest complaint is how slow the course was. We had a 2:50 tee time and had to start late due to back ups on the first hole. we played for 4 hours and only got though 13 holes. We played the 14th but it was getting dark so it was tough to play well. Super bummed to have missed 15, 16, 17, and 18. We waited on every single tee for the group in front of us to hit. It is pretty difficult to enjoy a round when you wait 15-20 minutes between every single hole. The staff needs to stop caring about making a few extra bucks and not stack groups. I will give the course a second chance, but if it is slow again I will not go back.

Echo Falls is a beautiful course and shows much promise. I was initially very excited to return here to play having not been there in maybe 8 years. However, buyer beware before you make the trek. The course conditions were lousy and sub-par. To their credit, the practice greens are immaculate and were running maybe around 10 on the stimp. Perhaps the amplified my disappointment. The pin placements we played were appropriately challenging but not nearly as challenging as the variability in speed and conditions on each and every green. Probably 70% of the greens featured extreme damage from either lack of care or over play. Some were fuzzy and slow others were even faster then the practice green but they all were bumpier than than a cobble stone street. The tee boxes were another massive disappointment. Finding a reasonably flat lie with grass under both my feet and the ball was as likely as winning the MegaMillions lottery. I will say the customer service was wonderful, but again with two exceptions. The first is the Pro Shop team asked if I wanted a cart and I replied “is it a pretty walkable course, I havent played here in a while” and his response was “Ya, there is a big hill on the back but otherwise it’s pretty walkable it’s also slow out there.” This was misleading on both fronts. There is a considerable distance (200 -300 yards) between almost every hole and as a result of choosing to walk we didn’t finish our round before dark. The second is no restaurant hours are posted on the door so when we finished, although the door was open and the restaurant still had a number guests drinking and socializing, no employees were to be found to tell us if the establishment was still open for 19th hole festivities. We waited 15 minutes and finally gave up. I play 20+ rounds a summer and hold 3 handicap, feel free to look it up. I play all over the PNW (Seattle east side and west side, Tacoma, Spokane, Idaho) and this was by far the most disappointing golf outing of the summer. Thank goodness my friends are so lovey otherwise it would have ruined my day after the atrocious traffic to get to the course. I frankly won’t return here given the conditions of the greens and tee boxes and would encourage anyone coming from Seattle to play literally anywhere else.

Course was in pretty shabby condition, I can’t image how soggy it will get once it actually starts to rain. Greens were recently punched and sanded: super soft and inconsistent. Range was under construction. Our first electric cart died between 12-13, second cart had a broken e-brake. Pour signage on a course that has a scattered layout. There are better places to play in the area for sure.

A favorite place to play for years running. The only knock is that they leave the rough too long on several holes meaning that if you are not in the fairway, your ball is gone. The final three holes are classic with the picturesque par 3 18th an Isalnd green surrounded by water. Expect that observers sitting on the patio at the club house to voice their opinion at your tee shot.

Course was not in great shape and pace of play was very slow. The greens have been sanded recently and are very inconsistent. The tee boxes are beat up and cart paths have so many roots under the asphalt youre bumping around the whole time youre riding. The pace of play here was so bad... We started before 3pm and played for 4 full hours but only finished 13 holes. The scorecard says pace of play must be maintained but then they dont actually do anything to keep people moving. Not sure if there was a group of walkers a few groups ahead of us but we were getting stacked up on almost every hole, and when you pay over $50 for your round with 4 hours until sunset but leave 5 holes unfinished, youre really not having a good time (not to mention we didnt get to play the nicest holes on the course, which puts a damper on things). This course could be beautiful and great given the topography, but the pace of play and poor conditions of the course itself made it such that I probably wont play this course again. Also the driving range is terrible.

Echo Falls, a fancier and harder course in the area, is known for the 17th hole being the hardest part 4 in Washington and its 18th hole island feel. The course is kept pretty well, and for the greens fees you pay, they better be. $55 for a full 18 plus a cart (you need one for all the gaps between holes) isnt too terrible though. Theres a snack stand in the middle of a few holes so its nice to always have a quick break.

Well me and my dad used to play this course quite often when it was an oki course. After leaving oki this course has been a unpleasant experience as no one seems to bother yelling fore or be bothered to apologize. Unfortunately this course will no longer be on our list as the general vibe and attitude is very rude and unlike any other course we have been to. I hope this changes but I have high doubts as this type of thing rarely does

I played golf with a friend today, taking advantage of the discounted afternoon rate. It was lightly raining, so the course was pretty wide open; we were the only group around. Needless to say, pace was great! Despite the inclement weather, the course was in great shape and was a lot of fun. The staff in the clubhouse was super accommodating as well, and allowed us to play the front 9 and pay at the turn for the back 9 (due to the weather). First time at the course, and will definitely be back.

Echo Falls Golf course gets a 3 out of 5 rating from me.First the good:1. Probably the best public course greens I have putted on in the Seattle area. They are true and fast. 5 stars2. Challenging course. Really makes you think. 4 stars. The bad:1. Traps are hard with lots of small rocks. 2 Stars2. The layout of the course is horrible. No rhythm or flow. 2 stars.3. Pace of play on the course was HORRIBLE. Saw the course marshal several times and he did nothing about it. We literally sat on the ground for 10 minutes waiting on several holes. It was a little over 5.5 hour round. 1 starOverall, I enjoyed the round but probably will not play there again. There are better courses out there for the money.

For the engaged couples:We just got married at Echo Falls and first off, the venue is beautiful and there are a ton of great photo spots. Overall though, our experience working with the staff at Echo Falls was challenging. The catering manager was very difficult and usually said ‘no’ to our requests until we pushed back. For example, they changed the pricing of food and alcohol after we were already under contract. They promised us a golf cart processional and then said “it depends on how many carts we have since Saturday is a busy day for golf” - I thought the people spending thousands of dollars for a wedding would get priority but we had to push back on that too. We also spoke with the GM who was helpful in fixing our issues but was very condescending to talk to. He made it seem like all of our issues were resolved (pricing for food/wine, golf cart issues, etc.) and while they were at that point, we had to push back on EVERYTHING and figure out the solutions for ourselves. I definitely wouldn’t say the customer service was top notch. That said, on the day of our wedding, the food was delish and we thankfully didn’t have any issues day-of. We chose to hire and awesome day-of coordinator (from Cake and Lace) and I think that was a great decision because again, the catering manager just wasn’t very friendly and accommodating. She was helpful on the day of our wedding but getting to that point was a serious struggle. To any couples considering this venue for their wedding, I would just caution you to get everything in writing and ensure the quotes you’re given won’t change before your wedding day. I plan events (large and small) as part of my job and I had never had a vendor change pricing or services after we were under contract. It certainly caught us off guard (and I still think it’s extremely unprofessional) so wanted to share our lessons learned.

I really enjoyed the design of this course. Im an avid golfer and used to play competitively, and I stumbled upon Echo Falls because no one else had a tee time for 1 player. The fairways are tight and there isnt much room for error off the tee. This continues with most approach shots as the greens are super tiny and are surrounded by thick rough. A good short game from thick grass is key to scoring low here. The greens are fast and the bunkers are strategically placed. Throw away the driver for this course...simply not needed, even from the blues. Why 4 stars? They dont water this place as much as they should (sure it saves water, but for their prices, should be watering more). There are places on the course where the grass has literally dried up and blown away (they dont really come into play, but it looks horrendous). Secondly, the prices are a little steep for what you get.Definitely give this place a try, and if you have kids, this is a wonderful place to emphasize the importance of a good short game early on.

I played here for the first time yesterday (June 1, 2017). It is fantastic! It rained pretty hard in the morning but the course wasnt wet at all. The golf course is a good mix of wide open holes and very narrow holes (1 and 9 are especially tight). Its just shy of 6000 from the tips but feels longer due to the layout. All of the holes are a good mix of short and long (e.g. a 110 yard par 3 but also a 200 yard par 3). You can pull driver on every hole, but you dont have to. The tee boxes and fairways were well maintained and the rough was a reasonable length. The greens were immaculate! Perfectly maintained and very quick, but consistent throughout the course. They are tricky but not tricked up, meaning you can actually make a putt. 17 and 18 are two of the toughest but best finishing holes Ive played anywhere....18 is particularly awesome! Also, all of the staff we encountered were very friendly!Overall, Echo Falls is an awesome place to golf and to spend the day. Ill be going back soon!

We thought at the price point for this course, it would be pretty nice. Boy were we wrong. Turns out they dont much water the fairways. Hitting shots out of the center of the fairway was like hitting a ball off the parking lot. The bunkers were rock hard as well. Greens were in decent shape. The staff was very nice, which is about the only redeeming factor. Hole 17 being the hardest hole in Washington is true, but only because the tee, fairway and green are in such bad shape its almost unplayable. Save your money and go to a decent muni.

Kind of a short track but I love this place. Definitely the best value of all the Oki courses. If youre ever trying to run 36 holes this is one of the best places to do it, 12-2 is usually open on weekends even in the middle of summer. Clubhouse staff is friendly and helpful. Grill staff has always been great and they have above average food. Pork belly was delicious and reasonably priced. Cart and food shack gals are usually attractive and nice to everyone. Not that they have to be pretty but when youre playing like crap, another friendly face helps. Studies have also shown that it helps how people perceive your business.Last two holes are tough, real tough. Decent amount of slope. Not an overwhelming amount of OB, 6 holes run parallel to each other. Good amount of water. Not as many bunkers as other, more challenging Oki courses.

The course looks beautiful when you arrive. When you get out and start playing it is very short and large power lines run thru the majority of the front and some of the back nine. It is a mediocre public course for the price. Greens are bumpy and slow but otherwise in good shape. Fairways are very nice as well as the rough. Id really be aware of how short the course is in comparison to the price. It is just shy of 6000 yards and costs $66.77 for golf and cart. They also dont offer military rates. They have a military card but its not worth the money. You pay $25 for the card then get discounted rates. That would work if it were next to base. Their membership rates are what really astounded me. Its $245 a month for unlimited play with a minimum obligation of 1 year (sounds like the gym memberships you cant get out of). Then its an additional $145 per person per month that you want to add. Dan the manager said thats not too bad. Its actually pretty expensive Daniel. Take into consideration a private course where you could golf unlimited with a family and have access to tennis courts and pools. You would pay a startup fee, but depending on the size of your family the monthly dues would be much less in comparison. Especially when you consider the product you receive for the money spent. This is a public course that wants to appear private and exclusive unfortunately. Dan the manager was rude, the other young gentleman in the pro shop was not knowledgeable in the course costs at all but the young guy who meets you at the 18th green is outstanding (tip big). Dan the manager was very dismissive and also did not know if the snack shack was open on number 5. This seems like a small matter but to me I think a manager should be aware of the ins and outs of his course. If he is committed that is. All in all I would say spend your hard earned cash elsewhere. Its too expensive for such a short course and bad customer service. Dont be sucked in by the view when you first drive up.

Its certainly an interesting course...The 2 finishing holes are terrific and at least let you leave with a smile on your face, assuming you play them well. But there are some bizarre holes mixed in. The course is really short and has 6 par 3s. One of them is better suited for a pitch and putt course, as it is less than 100 yards. Another two run parallel to each other and create a sort of cool/weird set up when you are on one of them. The 18th is an island green and another has a pond in front of the green. Its an interesting mix. It also features the most insane hill climb from the 11th green to the 12th tee followed by a tee shot straight back down the hill. Its basically a non-walkable course because of this. Its definitely a fun place to play, but its a somewhat weird experience. The course is normally in pretty good shape, but like most of the Oki courses, it feels overpriced.
