This park is neat from a history point of view and has a nice view of the city. It kinda sucks as a park though it just feels like you are in someones back yard. No toilet no picknick tables, playground or anything.
Beautiful park must visit again soon with family
This little park has beautiful views of the Atlanta skyline. It is kind of nestled and hidden, but once you find it, you wont be disappointed.
Little know historic place that I used to pass without knowing it was there.... during a walk I found this little gem with a nice walk path and many information about the construction and intended use of the fortification. Great view of the city and a nice walk...Personally I couldnt find a way to get to the last shoupade that runs up to I-285
Interesting history. I had never heard of General Shoup prior to happening upon the park quite by chance.
Nice, but small, almost got hit pulling into the park,it comes up on you quickly
This is a quaint little get away that is historic and little known outside of the Oakdale Rd walkers. Its worth a visitsince you probably pass it a few times a week without even knowing its there.
This is a great place to go and see restored shoupades. If you look carefully across the street there is an unrestored shoupade. However it is on private property so best not to go over there.
Historic reminder of the civil war. The views of Atlanta are great.
Needs a little TLC.
Nice piece of history about civil war.
Great little community park with some Civil War history to share.
Amazing
I received a reply using the PSB-7 Spirit Box stating that Cleburne was the commander.
Great view of the city
There are at least 7 other shoupade remnants along the river corridor and one grave of a woman who came to her end by way of Roanoke many many years ago.
