Beautiful place. I have hiked the lake trails several times but never completed the loop. This time we went for all six miles hike and we saw the historic district. Very nice and well kept. This is one of my favorite places on Long Island.
Need to get away and reconnect to nature? This is a perfect place to do it. Great trails run around the edge of the lake and plenty of wildlife to observe. The southwest corner of the trail along the walkways is really amazing as well as the north east by the old mill
Six mile walk around the lake, easy and beautiful.
Definitely a good place to go for a hike. Mixed terrain.
Great park beautiful lake easy parking also great for hiking
Long but one of the best on Long Island. Closer to the water the better. Pas the dog park, down to the water, make a right. Great trail!
Lots of swans in the water, easy to find parking, nice views. Includes a dog park. You can do a walk all around the lake which *Im told* is like 10 miles or theres a shorter walk which is about 1.5 miles. The trails arent paved but theyre not rough either.
It has good fish and very funGood experience for your family
Beautiful, peaceful, and a brisk 6 mile hike around the pond.
Nice place for a hike, dog friendly and we came across a few peoples on horses. We hiked 2.5 miles total, up near the horse stables, the dog went for a swim in the stream. It was hot and humid. It was July on Long Island! Humid? We had a nice hike
