Smithtown Landing Golf Course

Location is very well kept, carts in decent condition, pathways are smooth and up to date. Not too busy.

Beautiful and unique golf course, 18 holes and a 9 hole par 3 course perfect for beginners.

For late season course is in great shape.

Oh just a great golf course so much fun. Lots of long holes room for error and challenging greens.

A painstaking bug infestation over the summer times, but other than that its an enjoyable experience. 18 holes, nice landscaping, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices arent that bad, and going consistently doesnt put major dent in savings. A putting area is above the building on the course, which is easy to access. The general layout of the course itself is very well organized. Everything leads onto the next area, and signs clearly make the way. Overall, Id suggest this over many courses on the island.

WOW This place went down the tubes hard. The greens were absolutely horrible. The tee boxes were all crab grass, where there was grass!

The worst green I’ve ever playing in 40 years. I wouldn’t pay 1/2 price play this dump. The greens keeper should be replaced. It is a town course so the greens keeper is probably related to some politician . A total nightmare.

Great course, great price, and great people. Only complaint is the pace of play: it gets way too crowded especially on weekends. If they started letting only 5 or 6 groups out per hour instead of 7 or 8 and raised the price that would help a lot and I’d gladly pay it to avoid a 5-6 hour round. Other than that, it’s one of the best public courses in the area.

Tough pretty course lots of hills.

Definitely should say open until 7 or 8pm. It still light out and working people cant always make it by 545pm. You pay enough to be able to use it after work or dinner

Course is maintained well and staff is accommodating.Summer hours could be later since we have daylight until after 8pm. Good for us old geezers but maybe an issue for the younger crowd who work and want to enjoy a round after a hard day at the office.

Greens are the best 4 a privet course well maintained

I do not golf at all. My son has started taking lessons and he likes it very much. The pool is nice.

I had my baby shower on Saturday in their Riverview room (holds 70 ppl - I had 45), and everything went so well. I worked with Mandi, and she was so accommodating/ flexible with everything!We wanted a jack & jill type shower, so we opted for a Saturday dinner buffet (6-10pm) instead of the usual Sunday brunch. It was $55 pp, and this included beer, wine, and sangria. Mandi also threw in a chocolate fondue bar for free bc we told her we got married at the View (also Lessings owned). A sheet cake was included, but we brought our own, so Mandi gave us an assortment of cookies instead. And along with coffee & tea, she also gave us hot chocolate free of charge.There was no event scheduled before ours that day, so we were able to come at whatever time we wanted to set up. We went at 11am and decorated the whole room, and then came back at 6pm for the party. It was so nice not having to rush around setting up right before the guests arrived.If anyone is looking for a location for their shower or special party, I highly recommend checking them out. I got quotes from a lot of the other popular places for showers (the View, Snapper Inn, Captain Bills, Croxleys, Napper Tandys, and more) and none of them offered as much for the price of $55 pp. We really got a lot for what we paid!

My kids love the golf lessons and Golf Camp. Great service with very clean grounds. It is maintained daily.

Attended a wedding there today.Food- mediocre at bestService- Poor. Servers and bartenders are clueless.Served ice cream for dessert that was soup by the time it was served. They oversold the room and we were packed in like the A train at rush hour.I heard the groom yelling about something, so the list continues. This is a nice venue, but the caterer needs to go.

Awesome course, I was very impressed with the condition this time of year also a great price. The woman in the pro shop could not have been nicer. I will definitely be back.

Excellent course!

Love playing here, fees are reasonably priced, course is maintained well for the amount of traffic it gets daily. The par 3 course is a nice addition for kids and practicing players. Do what you can to tee off early AM or twilight. The midday tee times are almost guaranteed to have a very long round.

Ive been playing this course for years. Its always in great shape and its challenging but not too difficult

This is a public course open to everybody with a discount for Smithtown residents pretty well where in the country is beautiful sometimes you see deer and other wildlife the course itself is hilly so prepare for uneven lies

Was not overly impressed with the place. They had a basket of toiletries in the ladies room, that included pregnancy tests. Thought that was pretty tacky for a place that says its a country club. The grounds looked beautiful, but the buildings could use some updating. The staff was very nice.

Had a great time golfing here. It was my first time golfing here so I took notice to everything. Very friendly staff and helpful people from the moment I came in to pick up my golf cart to the moment I dropped it off. Very friendly staff. Great selection of food and beers as well. It was a challenging enough course. Perfect for my skill level. I would highly recommend you a course to anybody that plays golf.Benny

Course in horrible shape

SLOW SLOW SLOW. On pace for a 5 hr plus round on a Wednesday morning as we speak. Green are filled with unfixed ball marks. Hole variety is nice but not worth $54.

Clubhouse is old and dated.Lower level parking lot needs heip.Walkway from clubhouse to lower level parking lot needs to comply with ADA requirements.As a State Certified General Contractor, I see that an uneven rough, steep and crooked ramp must be ok and ignored in Smthtown NY A good ol boy thing I guess?

Very good environment people friendly and accommodating, start very nice, people on the course friendly. The course is good layout, greens are fast, back nine more scenic.

I had my wedding at Smithtown Landing and I was so happy I did. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make me happy. Abhi is amazing to work with, he went above and beyond to helping planning the big day. My wedding went so smoothly. My Maitre D’, Joe, made sure I knew everything that was going on throughout the night and the food was really good.

Went for a BBQ with friends. They have 2 pools, a kiddie one, & 1 for adults.Its a big flight of steps down, but theres a ramp for handicap access.

Good food nice spot to golf but it does need face lift

Booked the venue bc I was brainwashed into thinking they were worth the money. Everything including bridal suite and bathrooms are outdated and disgusting compared to anywhere else you go. The 20% administrative fee is PURE BS. Does not go to staff as gratuity, and gets put on everything then taxed. We decided to cancel and had to contact corporate directly to get our refund since the contract did not say it was non-refundable and is not LEGALLY BINDING. They scam people all the time, imagine the money they make off of every deposit they keep and provide no service for. Where does the money go? Management is awful and gave us the run around for over a month. The Lessings name is not what it used to be. The food tasting is what really opened my eyes to it all. Poorly planned and awful bland food. Vendors are no good either. Very pushy and harass you constantly for your business. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Nice venue, great views but how does a catering place run out of hamburger buns and hamburgers for a 16yr old birthday party. Bad Job. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food that was available was good.

I have recently started working here. my good friend john is the manager there. he dose a amazing job. best banquet manager I have ever come across ever. food is great prices are great. place is very clean and very beautiful. great for weddings holidays sweet 16 anything. best place around. everyone should definitely give it a shot I promise its worth it.
