A nice place if you are a beginner artist/ just want to pick up a new hobby. NOT the place if you want to become more advanced in your artistic ability.I took classes in the summer of 2016 and 2017 and learned nothing. All I got to work with was a charcoal. The teacher never once asked what I wanted to learn. The last day of my class the teacher gave me half of a printed face and told me to copy the other side of the face with shading. The teacher never sat down and explained how to shade in a realistic face.I would have liked to learn how to paint a realistic face and color theory. There is only one teacher, sometimes two in the class, and its hard to get one on one time with the teacher because everyone is working on different things. I paid at least over hundreds of dollars for the classes and walked away with little knowledge. On top of that you have to buy your own art materials and canvas. This place is great for little kids or people who want to get into art. I DO NOT recommend this place for advanced artist or collage art students. I am very disappointed in this place. I feel like I wasted my money and time.
I attended this art school for a while, and I must say; it was great. The staff is extremely polite and patient with the students, and the quaint little hole-in-the-wall small business feel is a great work environment. I went into it with low expectations as I had already had experience in the field I was in (animation), but it was still very enlightening and I learned a lot. Overall, a really great quaint little place and I recommend it highly to anyone wishing to get into art.(Also, I met by best friend here in one of the classes. Thats a plus in my book)
A welcoming environment for students of all ages and artistic ability!
My son takes the sculpting class on Mondays and he LOVES IT! While the rest of us dread Mondays, its his favorite day!!
I am beyond pleased - truly ecstatic - with this studio! I enrolled my daughter (a toddler) and wasnt sure what to expect and I was absolutely blown away. They do such a lovely job teaching and creating a positive environment. Not only was I stunned with what she learned but I see such improvement in her free art time at home. Thank you, Blue Art Studio and Ms. Kim!
Hi I want to know if you are open.
My girls love going to this studio!! Claudia is a caring teacher who brings out the best in her students.
The clean and spacious environment of Blue Door Art Studio along with enthusiastic instructors and a well thought out curriculum contribute to a robust artistic experience for all ages!
Beautiful, new studio. The kids love it!
