Recently had 5 different gloves worked on. Some of the gloves had extensive work which included basic leather work, fixing plastic inserts that were broke in half to re-lacing and the signature double drop down knuckle and some were just the bare minimum. The one thing that was constant through this whole process is the outstanding craftsmanship. Then you add in his unbeatable honest opinion (sometimes it hurts to hear) and customer service; you have a one stop shop for all your glove related needs. I have used quite a few highly recommended leather workers and his work is easily the best and far less than the competition.

Dave goes above and beyond to help you, especially during the baseball season. My son is a catcher, and on more than one occasion he has helped with a broken web. He has also done work on re-lacing the entire glove, and his work is A++++. I have even taken my sons teammates and relatives gloves to him and he is a wizard, and when you get the glove back it is better than new. This GUY is the BEST in the Midwest! I had a co-worker who needed his new 44 glove broken in and when he finally got it he was amazed. If you are close to Skokie, or even far away, this GUY is worth the drive if you truly love the game of baseball, this GUY loves Gloves!!!!

The work he does on gloves is outstanding. Not to mention he walks you thru the process as he goes and gives his input. Seeing My sons face as he put each of his gloves on after the work was done was all it took for me to know my money was well spent.

I met David several years ago while he was umping and he commented on my glove and I said I had it re-laced several years ago at Play it Again in Lombard. He said hes the one who did it and recognized my glove and his work. The glove was an absolute masterpiece! You know someone is passionate about what they do when they exhibit that level of recognition. I recently had some more work done on my glove by David and once again he displayed again why he is a true master. I truly value my glove and wouldnt trust it with anyone else.

I’ve had my A2000 for about 15 years, some of the laces were worn out and one tore. Dave did an excellent job repairing the glove and lacing it. The glove felt like a brand new broken in glove that will probably last me another 10-15 years. He had the glove back to me in about a week, excellent work, and excellent service!

Dave did a break in and relace on a brand new Rawlings HOH and the second my son (college player) put his hand in it he loved it. 2 years later it feels the same. His work also extends the life of the glove.I’ve also used a catchers mitt that he relaced and broke in, A2000, and it’s simply phenomenal. I can’t say enough good things about his work.

I have sent 1 new outfielders glove and 1 new catchers glove to Dave. He turned the gloves fast and broke them in nicely for a 8u travel baseball player. I couldn’t even hardly squeeze the catchers glove before I sent it in. I recommend Dave to all the parents I have talked to about gloves.

I had 3 gloves repaired by David and 2 broken in over the past 2 years. He does an excellent job with a short turn around time. The light brown A2000 is several years old and needed a full recondition. The other 2 A2Ks were identical until my dog got a hold of the one that is now all black. David rebuilt it and it plays beautifully. The brown and black was bought as a replacement. I never broke in quite right. David broke it in so its now game ready as well.

Super quick repair. Relaced the whole thing and even added some of his own lacing techniques to create better durability and strength. Also added custom kip leather padding to make it feel sturdy again and you could barely even tell a weight difference at all. Knows a lot and helps revive old gloves.

I dropped my daughter’s new glove off with Mr Wagner 2 days after Christmas not expecting to hear anything until after the new year, and actually was able to pick it up on New Years Eve. He sent specific thorough instructions on how to continue to break in the glove and how to continue to care for it. Was so impressed with the service I have already dropped another glove off to be relaced and repaired.Mr Wagner, thanks again for the great service. I’ll definitely be passing your information on to other players in need of glove break ins and repairs.

Everything (drop off, pick up, price) about my experience was easy. The lace on the heel of my sons baseball glove broke. Mr. Wagner relaced the glove perfectly in a very short amount of time. The price was extremely reasonable. I have already recommended this service to other baseball parents I know. I understand he also works on some hockey goalie items.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!Davids knowledge and experience are second to none. He helped me with my Wilson A2000 glove tremendously. He sped up my breaking in process, and did a full restitching. The glove is better than ever, and I highly recommend him. Price cannot be beat, and turn around time was incredible. He makes the entire process A-Z easy, quick, and affordable. I will definitely be coming back whenever I have any more projects for him.

I had a busted pocket in a Wilson 2500 catchers glove that has been sitting around for years. I found this guy close to home and reviews seemed to be positive. I contacted him and dropped it off on the same day. I then got it back within 24 hrs like new—restrung with padding. I’m not sure if it’s always like that, but it worked out for me...professional work and I really recommend it for anyone with an old premium glove that you love—particularly a 1B or catchers mitt. It’s kind of like replacing everything under the hood of an old sports car in my opinion.

Wow. Thats all my husband could say after I received my sons Wilson A2000 back from Wagner Glove repair. My son got the glove for his birthday and we sent it to Wagner to have him break it in. He also restrung it in a cool new color (yellow and green for GBN). The glove came back looking awesome and almost completely broken in. Really amazing work.
