Beautiful place. Took the tour with others and went on the hike up thru the trails and listened to the tour guide pointing out the interesting things along the way. You get a real life feel of nature and being in the outdoors. By the time we were done, I and Gizzy, my chihuahua were wore out by the time it got done. She had to have dad carry her on the way back down. I asked the wife to carry me down but she said I was shoot out of luck. Something like that. Very nice afternoon that day about 5 yrs ago.

Beautiful area! The trails were awesome and it was just a beautiful setting. We had quite the adventure yesterday on a school field trip. Apparently we exited the Nature trails at some point and ended up lost in the Stone State Park that is adjacent. We didnt have a map of Stone State Park, only the Dorothy Pecaut hiking trails. Luckily, Ranger Tyler came to our rescue and lead the way back to the Nature Center. He was awesome! The kids loved him and he gave them a nature education on the way back!! I would love to see signs up indicating that you are leaving the Dorothy Pecaut Nature trails and entering Stone State park. That way others wont make the same mistake we did!!

This place is lots of fun for the whole family. Its free too. My son and I go here alot. If you are into nature this is definitely the place to go. There lots to do and educate you inside the building and beautiful trails to walk outside. Inside there are a few live animals as well as stuffed. The employees are so nice and knowledgeable. They always make us feel welcome. If u havent been u should go.

Easy to find. Fun to explore. Great for kids, families or whoever likes nature. A few animals to see but mostly stuffed. Some nice trails (with steps) and a Great playscape! We spent most of the time in the playscape and inside looking around.

Small nature center with some exhibits and explanations about local wildlife. Some very well marked, short trails just outside the nature center. As of June 2016, they have a large owl and a red tailed hawk in enclosures just outside the nature center that cannot be returned to the wild due to injuries.
