Dont go after a heavy rain unless you plan to hose off the kids when you get home. Otherwise, its a small park, clean, and has slides, monkey bars, swings, a merry-go-round, and seesaws. Theres a small half basketball court, picnic shelter, and a nice big field with soccer goals. Its next to a fairly busy residential road with no fence.

Good seafood. Id love to see combo boxes with crab, sausage, & shrimp like my fave NC seafood stop, but if youre looking for a local spot for your seafood craving, this is it!!

Alder Park is very peaceful. It is full of new playground equipment for the children. There are always football, soccer and baseball games going on. It is also an excellent place to walk your dog.

Nice old fashioned park for families. Good for kids.

Going to start by saying that as an adult, I enjoyed the playground more than anything. Haha! There are soccer goals, a baseball/softball field, and enough space overall to practice disc golf. (At least your drives....no baskets...yet.)There is also a beautiful creek in the back, through the trees. Recommend closed toed shoes if youre into nature like that.

So much better than when I was a kid in the 90s. its really impressive how nice the park is now. New equipment, open restrooms, and lots of room for activities. Great for bike riding, baseball, football, or just a picnic.

Decent park, but could use some upgrades and more equipment. But the field is really large and fun to kick a soccer ball around.

My grandson had his birthday party here and it was great (watch out for snakes )

Took the kids after picking one up from school. It was a nice day to do this and the kids enjoyed themselves.

Nice little park. The city has been making some great improvements to the park. Unfortunately, the vehicle traffic near the park makes walking to the park very dangerous. The speeding in the neighborhood is a major problem.
