Dean park is the main park of SHREWSBURY town. I love going here for my walk any time of the day as it is near to where I stay. There is the main pond with so many geese whom you can see throughout the year. They claim there is a fountain but I haven’t seen it working in the last two years that is very disappointing.Trail / walking - yes you can go round the pond and it is very relaxing. The only downside I see that parts of the park road is narrow and is shared by car and Walkers. This makes us remain always cautious while walking with kids.Kids play ground is ok. Tennis play ground, basket ball court, volleyball court, baseball ️ ground is busy as per the season.You have enough benches and picnic area where you can relax and slow down a bit in our busy life. The long trees thought out the park, quickly help you in that. The park is well maintained and have three separate parking areas...

Dean park is a great place to have a barbecue or play with friends. They offer Fresh Water Fishing lessons there. Dean Park is located at 805 Main St. Shrewsbury MA. They have a Water Fountain show that is very interesting and it has lights when the water shoots up. These fountains came in 2004. The pond at Dean Park is not allowed for swimming. They have a baseball field and a huge group of flat grass. It is near General Artemas Wards Museum.

A complete park. Great walking paths, mostly circular, so its you cant really get lost. Some trails as well. Several shelters. Lots of open space. A nice playground. Basketball and tennis courts. Baseball fields. Best part? A beautiful lake. I will be back here for sure.

Very nice park! A lot to do, walk around the trails and the park, playground and basketball court, tennis courts and baseball fields and downside is people bring dogs but don’t clean up their poop so u have to careful where u walk or ur going home with poop on ur shoes!

I love the park. Trees are very old and tall. The only downside is that few people will be smoking

Nice place to read a book or hand out but water was unswimmable and pretty dirty from the geese. Town had closed it down due to bacterial levels.

Great park. Enough space to social distance. Enjoyed the grads dotted thru out and the cars that drove thru to congratulate them. Basketball, baseball and climbing areas all empty due to Covid. Pretty pond and walk thru the trees.

Great park to take the kids to play at. Basketball courts, tennis courts, nice playground and plenty of walking trails. For the most part, its pretty clean. Understand that this is a major spot for a lot of this area and surrounding areas to go so it can get busy on the weekends. Plenty of parking and plenty of space to enjoy a picnic lunch with the kiddos!

This place has been a favorite since we moved to the area. They have a giant playground with well-kept equipment and two large sandboxes full of toys. Tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a pond perfect for birdwatching. Pack the kids, the dogs, and a picnic and check it out for sure.

The entire lake was frozen and we really had a great time. We also saw kids playing ice hockey.

Lovely park with fenced playground, paved walking/biking path (also used for cars so beware), tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, and a few pavilions you can use for parties (contact the town for reservations). There is a pond for watching wildlife and in the summer there are fountains that dancein time to music. Lovely!

Multiple structures for different age ranges, swings, and two huge sandboxes with toys. Areas with shade and sunny areas. Big tennis courts, baseball fields, basketball courts, and a squash wall. A nice path to follow around the small pond. The paths are shared with cars, everyone is respectful so it is fine but nice to know.Lots of fields and options to reserve gazebos. A pretty clean bathroom with running water. Sufficient parking.

It is a good place to walk around, dog friendly and lots of friendly walkers. the only thing that would be nice is if the cars had a dedicated Lane vs. Walkers but you just watch out for the cars... theyre not constant but they can drive where you might think youre just walking. So pay attention but definitely a nice walk around theres a playground basketball courts tennis courts

I visited this park so many times. All the time, my child enjoyed this park. This park has two sand boxes, toy cars and playground equipment. And two tennis courts or a big pond. Only one thing I dont like is birds poop are in the grass. So, please be careful when you walk in the grass.

Classic shrewsbury park for recreation and community

Dean Park is probably the best gift for the Shrewsbury residents. The lake is beautiful and the ducks at play are very appealing to the kids. If you like summertime fishing a must place to visit. The play area is always bustling with the noise of the lilliputians. The play areas include tennis court, basketball court, soccer field baseball ground etc. The nature trail is very pleasant. There are couple of well maintained restrooms. Thanks to the authorities and visitors for keeping his place well maintained.

This park is very nice. I remember coming here when I was a kid all the time to play on the nice tennis courts and in the playground. They have a good amount of baseball fields. I remember seeing the ducks near the pond and skipping stones. I like that they had the colored water fountain shows at night. Im not sure if they still do that. Now coming back with my own kids, I see they have improved through kids playground which my 3 year old loves. Overall its a nice park to go to and even to walk around in on a nice day.

Nice park we had work group gathering here.

I really love this park. The playground is all fenced which makes it a safer place for the kids. It also has a nice walking trail around the water and sports facilities (basketball, tennis, soccer). The bathrooms are big which is nice (and super entertaining if you have a kid who likes echoes). During tennis season, the lights are close enough to the playground that you can go after dark which is also awesome. The only real downside is that the road into the park is very narrow and people are usually walking on one or both sides so you have to be extra careful (so you dont make pancake people, animals, bikes or cars)

It is a nice municipal park. With a little lake featuring a water fountain, a nice playground for little kids, some tennis and basketball courts and shaded paths (some paved) to walk or run on.

Awesome public park. The playground is simply amazing, and there are tennis courts, basketball, soccer and baseball fields... We had one of our sons birthdays here, and it was probably his best ever. All of his friends had the best time, and it was much cheaper than any other place.

Lovely park with beautiful pond. Dancing fountains in pond are activated several times a day and on occasion at night with accompanying music. Great area for walking exercises. Tennis and basketball courts. Three well maintained baseball diamonds. Two covered pavilions with plenty of benches for cookouts. Pavilions can be reserved for special occasions. Road and parking fields are plowed in winter and road and grassy areas are cleared of debris. Grass is mowed regularly and leaves are removed in the fall. Just a nice place to just sit on one of benches to relax and enjoy the scenery, I know I do!
