Each time I attend an event or a artist meeting at SRAC, I am encouraged with the opportunities being presented to support artists and the arts. It opens up a whole new world.

The Shreveport Regional Arts Council covers several parishes in Northwest Louisiana. Their Outreach efforts are well-known and help a tremendous amount of artists and performing arts organizations. Anytime there is an activity at their Central Arts Station you should attend. The staff is well knowledgeable of the local area and are willing to assist you with any information you like to know about the arts in Northwest Louisiana. one of their biggest fundraisers that are held every other year is Christmas in the Sky which is held at Louisiana Downs. This is a huge event that attracts thousands of people from the Ark-La-Tex. This is an event you should always attend.

Absolutely Wonderful! Anyone going to this place us gonna fall in love. With the architecture, the artworks inside, and the feeling of excitement! WOW! You feel like you are somewhere else. The education and history of this place is awesome! Everyone must visit this place at least.. 3 times! Lol! It absolutely Beautiful! You will want to come back!

Former shreveport regional arts at nearby princess park burned to the ground and moved to this Art Station location several years ago . this building happens to be the former Central fire station for shreveport . theengine bays have become a preforming arts center . upper dormitoriesfor fire crews became offices and meeting room for SRAC StaffThe original fire pole was kept in place in the central hall

I went there to here the author of American Menu, a play, speak. The fasciitis were comfortable and Don Glenn was an excellent speaker. It was my first visit there.

SRAC offers a supportive environment for artists and consistently offers opportunities to further careers in the arts. We as a community are so fortunate to have an arts organization that never ceases to amaze!
