Liked it a lot, will hopefully be going back soon. A few of the games were out, not a big deal happens at every arcade. Still a lot of fun and will hopefully take my kids with me next time.

Its similar to Arkadia in Fayetteville but different in pricing and the game set up. Vortex has an extensive range games that I wasnt able to get pix due to the other gamers playing. They have a section set aside for consoles, an area for pinball machines, an area arcade machines and youre even allowed to watch movies in a small section. It turned out being better than I was expecting and we will return!!

Great arcade! Has something for everyone. Everything from DDR to racing to fighter and even several of the original consoles with tons of cartridges to choose from. One entrance price, then everything is free to play! Great times

An amazing place, the owner is fantastic and genuinely wants everyone to have a great time.Its usually only $10 a person sometimes less on events like todays $15 for couples.They go out of there was to make sure you have everything you need for a good night, even keeping deodorant and other supplies in the bathrooms.Id give them more than 5 stars if I could.

Good clean fun. Old school arcade style games and pinball are refreshing. The endless game play for such a reasonable price makes for a fun night that even a single mom can afford. And the people there are super nice. Just leave the chewing gum at home! No gum allowed!

I have known the owner of the arcade for a long while, and have watched as it has evolved. It once was a one time a month in an old beat up warehouse type of deal. Now you have about 100 games at your disposal and you never know what new things are coming. Its been amazing to watch it come to life. Vortex is one of the best places to go just to chill and have fun.

This Vortex Arcade and Dan the owner are both freaking Awesome! Hes got it all. Amazing Value at just $10 All day!!! I waited so long for a place like this to exist. Since Captain Video and Aladdins Castle, closed way back in the day.

This is one of the best family businesses Ive had the pleasure of visiting in a long time. The owner is awesome, the games are awesome and you cant beat the price. This place takes me right back to the 80s and 90s and makes me feel like a kid again. On top of some great vintage arcade games and pinball machines, hes even got a huge collection of old console games. You can kick back on the couch and play Super Mario Bros - youll feel like youre back in your best friends basement circa 1989. All the stars and all the thumbs up. Vortex Arcade makes me proud to be an American.

My daughter and I absolutely love this place! Weve only been twice but the owners and staff genuinely want you to be comfortable and have a great time. We love all the games and were made to feel like family while there, thank you guys so much, we will be back again and again!

Awesome place to kill time and hang out. Never to young or old to play these retro games. Grew up with most of these uprights and brought back a lot of memories. The price is so worth it. Really cant be beat for a cheap family night out.

Super fun experience! Im from out of town and am thrilled to have found this hidden treasure. Inexpensive! We played all afternoon, and the overwhelming quantity of games meant we never played the same thing twice. I cant wait to come back. N64 Golden Eye, youre on my list! And the whole place is so clean! The womens bathroom was like a welcoming hug. Kid friendly.

A fun way to spend a Saturday. Costs the same as a movie ticket and gives you more hours of entertainment too if youre big into gaming. Besides going to Japan, this is the best way to have an arcade experience and its all in Arkansas.

Daniel and his son were so nice... We walked in right as a guy was about to hit a Kill Screen on Donkey Kong... That right there tells you something about this place. Its special. They were both very friendly and very accommodating... we played... went to dinner and came back... they were happy to see us and said come right back in... gave my daughters some toys.. took pictures of us next to a big Knight. The sad thing is were from Colorado and make the Arkansas trip at Thanksgiving... so it will be another year before we can get back.

This place is simply awesome. Best value in the state for good clean entertainment. You could stay here all day if you wanted for the low price of just under $10 per person. Staff is super friendly and experts on their knowledge of gaming. Even though Im not a big gamer, I had an awesome time and my 12 year old loves it. I loved the pinball machines. I could sit there for hours playing. They always do birthday parties and have a snack bar.

Ive been to a lot of retro arcades and this is by far the best I have been to. Low cover charge gets you all the game play you want. They have lots of games and pinball. They also have several old consoles (N64, SNES, etc.) with a large game selection and enough controllers to play with friends. Great way to spend a few hours and relive your childhood.

Cant go wrong here! Flat entrance for unlimited play, cheap snacks and drinks and of course a TON of gamer classics! All held down by an incredibly kind staff

The dedication and organization of this arcade is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and are doing everything they can to make sure that people are safe and have a good time Admission is $10 and gives you unlimited play until they close. They also have a snack bar as well. You have all your essential arcade machines such as Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Frogger, and TMNT. They also have a couple Pinball machines, DDR machines, and many hidden gems. Also, they have a section dedicated to Retro game consoles such as NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, and Gamecube. They are very nostalgic and are a great hangout spot for those that like Arcades and do Special Events throughout the year such as a Donkey Kong Tournament and also host parties as well. They deserve all the attention because they have tons of games that most people who lived through the 80s and 90s will most likely remember. Check them out the next time you are passing through the Little Rock area as they are located on the edge of Sherwood, AR.

This place is Retro. Nostalgic. It is perfectly price. Full of history. A gamers dream. Pay to play all day. Safe for your kids. This Guy has his dream together and his head on right to have make this place come together to pull this off in a way that is way impressive! The ultimate game day and place to play!

I understand that the way they make money is by charging 10 bucks a head for the whole day. And its a great way to spend the day, especially if you grew up during the golden age of arcades. Just wish there was an option for people that just want to spend a few minutes there. I imagine loitering would be a problem if they didnt charge for entry.

Very friendly staff, the games are fun and well-maintained, price is good. Couldnt ask for a better place to kill a Saturday.

A lot of work went into the decor, which helps make this a fun and nostalgic place. There are a variety of arcade games, and you can even play old Nintendo games from a good-sized library. They even have a little section for babies/toddlers, and the bathroom has a changing table with baby wipes and other items, which really helped make this a welcoming place. I was impressed! The workers are nice as well! It was fun seeing hidden gems throughout, like signed photos from John Rhys-Davies or a Darth Vader helmet. My family will definitely return.

Super cool place!! Literally something for everyone. They have old school arcade, buck hunter, Mario brothers, Atari, and so so so much more. They even have board games and a little are for the baby brother/ sister to play. Also offers concessions and a cool place to chill. Definitely worth every penny!

The space is clean and inviting and Ive hardly ever seen a game not working which is incredible since they have retro games going back 40 years running on original hardware! The owners are passionate and caring and have created a fun atmosphere that feels very safe for my kids. If I had more than two thumbs to put up for Vortex, I would!

Huge selection of classic arcade games and the entrance fee is very reasonable. I took my teenage nephew there for the afternoon while my wife and his Mom went shopping. Great place for kids and adults.

Its a fun place to visit when you want to polish your retro gaming skills as well as have fun. Was well worth the visit. Good location and very accessible. Very easy going atmosphere. I will definitely return as much as possible. Not too many places to play arcade games like Ninja Turtles or even the Simpsons. All in all, I really liked my time there.

We love going to this arcade! They have all the classic games and newer ones as well. They even have a couch and tv for game consoles and games! The staff is always friendly and the owners are very inviting and love to educate people on the classic games. I highly recommend this arcade.

We went to the arcade for a girls night out. We had a great time. This is a family friendly - kid friendly place. They were holding a birthday party for an adult while we were there. What Fun!All the old games brought back great memories of the past. They had all the old greats; pinball machines, Frogger, both Pac man & Mrs. Pac man, Donkey Kong, Mario, Ninja Turtles, Qbert, just to me a few. Oh and lots of driving and fighting games. The price was good. Make time to go because time does FLY when your having fun. We will go again!

Theres a great, lively atmosphere in there with 80s music playing...it really feels, sounds, and smells like the old arcades and skating rinks I remember in the 80s/90s. I went inside and was reminded of my local skating rink in the 80s with the sounds, music and arcade machines...the only thing missing was the smell of cotton candy, but then I detected a whiff of that in the air too :). They have a really huge variety of games, from the early 80s Pac Man/Donkey Kong/Asteroids/Centipede/Tempest, etc. to the late 90s Street Fighter II/Mortal Kombat II/House of the Dead/Daytona racing, etc. and later, both video games and pinball. They also have TVs with console games like NES. They have birthday parties for kids. The owner is very friendly too. Only $10 per person for all you can play all day...no quarters required!

This place is super cool ...Its like getting a chance to go back in time ... I can tell the owners have put a ton of hardwork into creating a place like this .. one of a kind ...I really like all the rules they have in place to make it a fun safe place ..Cant believe how affordable it is to play such great working vintage machines...It breaks my heart to see people disrespect the rules . We should be thankful they are providing the opportunity to actually play such old games ...If they had more stars I would give more ..Definitely will be going back...Thanks so much...

This place is excellent. Had our sons birthday party here today and it could not have been better. Check this out if you have any type of party or other gathering to plan. They provided our drinks, plates, decorations, eating utensils, and all the games you can play.

Very inexpensive, fun and nice place, BUT was treated poorly by the staff. Me and a couple friends were doing something and the staff said we couldn’t do that. they weren’t polite about it and didn’t say please or thank you, expected more from such a wonderful place.

Very family friendly place. Plenty of arcade machines and pinball machines. They also have multiple televisions with classic gaming consoles hooked up. They have a wide variety of games for the consoles, and movies that can be watched on televisions. The pricing is great and all of the workers there treat you with respect. Highly recommend this for everyone.

More than just an arcade, a helpful *community* of retro gamers. This is THE place to go if you want to better your classic gaming skills, or just to have fun with the family. An encyclopedia of gaming knowledge, mark this one as a must-visit.

It is a great place on everything except for the fact SO MANY machines were either broke in some way or just straight up not working at all. I think out of all the pinball machines they had, maybe two of them were actually functional. A lot of the machines had screen burn in and some just wouldn’t even let you play at all. I get arcades get busted from heavy use but this just tells me things don’t really get fixed in a timely manner at this place and the broken stuff just accumulates. It is a real shame because it’s a fun place otherwise and has huge potential but they need to do a lot to get these machines functional. If I’m paying full price to play I expect to be able to get to play a majority of the machines. If they get the arcade repairs up to speed this would be a five star place easily.

Feels like 1980-something, great place for a date night or family fun at a reasonable price, very friendly owner, & a military discount (without asking).

All I can say is WOW!!! I just went for the first time and we are so going back! Opens at 5pm and you pay one price to play all night! We brought 14 people of all different ages and every single one had so much fun! They even have a baby play area so moms can have fun too!

Took my wife here for a date day after church and as soon as we walked in we had a family like experience. The owner showed us around and made us feel at home. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! True retro classic arcade. Many game consoles to play, including Atari and Nintendo 64, with hundreds of games to choose from. Plenty of pinball machines, which a few didnt work, but the owner buys old machines, fixes them up, and will rent them out or use them in his arcade! Has plenty of board games, air-hockey, Dance-Dance revolution type game, and many many more! Big television with a hangout area thats always showing movies (that you most likely cant hear.) Snack bar, lockers, and no smoking inside. Great hangout for the family, a group of friends, or someone looking to play some of their favorite childhood games.

Although went to win some cool prizes and didnt they had a good collection of pin ball and classic games. I liked the fact that they had a selection of n64 games. Need prizes. 20$ was a little to much for me and my girlfriend to play pinball.

We love this place! Lots of retro arcade systems, both in old box style and TV consoles with a large selection of older console games. Tables to play board games. Couches to sit and watch or play. Friendly staff who check on you and treat you like family. Free lockers with locks. Inexpensive family fun that can last all day.

Never knew this place existed until we were invited for a birthday party. There is a simple entry fee and the games are pre-paid... so you can play as many times as you want. It has a very casual vibe and there are just as many adults enjoying the gaming experience as there were children. I liked that they offered many options of games, i.e. Donkey Kong, Pac man, shooting & karate games and pin ball games. My son didnt want to break away from the double dragons game to have pizza or cake. We will definitely visit again.

For a kid friendly place its lacking. They have birthday parties but cant handle children. You cant beat the price & games though even though alot are broke.

Brought some boys down for a Sunday birthday get together and had a BLAST! The guys at Vortex were awesome and Truly enjoy watching kids, and adults, have a great time on the games. This is definitely on our list of again and again and again places.
