I have been there twice now. The first time was for the womens only basic intro to handguns class and then I went in for a 90 minute private training session. Aaron taught both times and was great. Great info and easy to learn from. Ive never shot that good, ever. I cant wait to go back to get more training. The prices were also very reasonable and very friendly staff. 5 stars!

Needless to say that they have the most friendly staff and great price in town, which you can easily find in other peoples commons. I do want to mention that they have the most reasonable membership plans and guest policy, makes me think that they really want you to go to the place and shoot in a regular basis instead of just want to take your money and not caring your experience.By the way, if you had questions that you really want to ask, do not hesitate to call them. I called them to ask a few dumb questions when I wasnt sure where to go before went there, and instantly hooked by the price and the friendly voice on the phone.Great price + friendly service + professional environment. I took a 1:1 introductory lesson here for a newly acquired shotgun. The staff was professional, friendly, and in no way intimidating due to my lack of experience. I had a great time and left feeling much more confident with my firearm. The facility was clean and clearly run as a tidy ship.

The worst customer service. Back in February, I booked two spots for a class. After a cancelation, I was told by an employee that they would reach out to me with a March schedule to attend a new class. I emailed them at the end of Feb. after hearing nothing. I knew they were still having classes all of March before getting shut down due to COVID. Since then they have reopened and Ive called and sent over twenty emails trying to get ahold of them. I wanted to book a new class before I moved out of state, but still no response and Ive lost $150.

Nice facility and decent staff, but dont believe anything their website says. I drove 40 minutes to shoot an MPX which they said you could rent on their website. Upon arriving they said they dont have one and to not believe anything I read on the internet. Which is a snotty way of saying, we know our website has misinformation and we dont really care.

Ive taken the intro to handguns course with them, along with a private lesson, and have nothing but good things to say about it. Since then Ive been to the range a number of times, and have found the staff to be courteous and helpful. Very clean facility, and their ammo prices are fair.

Threat Dynamics is a great place for Novice to Experienced shooters. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The Live Fire Range is clean and well taken care of and up to date. The Virtual Range is great for training as well as social events. If you are reading this then you are thinking about trying them out. Great facilities. Ive taken several classes here and done simulator training. Fantastic staff and equipment. Only downside is the range is slightly short of 25 yards but that wont keep me away.

For the length of my life I’ve enjoyed the art of target shooting. I was taught or self-taught in various ways, and could never really understand why I was so inconsistent in my aim. I set an appointment with one of their top instructors, Aaron Orta. There are so many things that I thought I already knew, but I quickly found out there was much more to learn. I would venture to guess Aaron is far overqualified for teaching guys like me at his knowledge and experience level, because in just a one hour I was able to enhance and improve my aim and precision. I also learned specific methods of body position to maximize accuracy and safety. I believe it’s vital for anyone that has an interest in firearms to find an instructor they can trust that has all the real experience to back it. If you own a gun or considering buying and have never had formal lessons (or even if you’d had lessons but want to be sure what you were taught was right), I would highly recommend Aaron Orta. Looking forward to continued lessons.

Went to Threat Dynamics for a team building activity, and had a great experience! Our group loved the interactive situations, and the length of time was perfect. The instructor was friendly and informative, and easily managed a group of 8 of us with varying skill levels. This was one of our most memorable team building experiences, and well definitely be back!

What is not to like about this place. Great gun range.... (ever fire a Tommy Gun?), super realistic real life life and death scenarios where you fire a Glock 17 at video simulations. Been there multiple times and I keep coming back because its a hoot! Oh yeah, need to purchase a firearm or be certified to carry? No worries, classes continually. Go.... youll love it!

I took a class for a concealed carry permit from Threat Dynamics. The first was a ladies class and I was able to learn everything about using and handling a handgun safely in the company of ‘like skilled women’.Next I took a class for my accuracy. Learning the correct habits to use whenever I pick up a handgun.The patience and professionalism of all the people working at Threat Dynamics was really a comfort to me. I’m single and over ‘middle age’ so, learning gun safety for personal protection was much different than my previous years as a hunter with my husband. Threat Dynamics helped me feel very comfortable and capable through the training the gave me ~ every woman should take the classes!!!

If I could give this place a lower number of stars I would. Dont go here If you want to take a CHL class. First they over charged me. Paid ON- Line, then got to the store and was charged again for I thought was the state processing fees. No I was being charged for:1. State of Oregon package, I didnt sign up that that as I have a Oregon permit.2. I wasnt given the whole packet for1 of the 2 states I did want training and CHL for.3. I had to request the missing paper from clerk who had the gall to tell me I had all the paperwork I need with out even looking at what I had. All I had been given was finger print cards. I had to go back to the instructor and explain what was happening to him to get the rest of the forms. Thats when I found out what I had been charged for.4. It also seems they can charge you money at the class, but they cant refund your money. if you dont come back at a later time when some one is authorized is there.So with 2 prior visits to this place that turned out much like this one. I guess I am more than a fool but there wont be another visit.

A great experience. The staff was helpful in all aspects of my range fire experience. Not only did I practice usually once a week but I also purchased a rifle through Threat Dynamics. They knew just what I had to do, forms to fill out to be compliant for the purchase.The classes were very informative and helpful in maximizing my families knowledge and safety. Yes.. my daughters were frequently with me and started their experience with a Safety First and proper operation class for my Glock 9mm and Springfield AR.My ONLY complaint was that it was so hot in the range during days in the summer that my rifle quickly became too hot to fire.

Threat Dynamics is the ultimate in firearms training. Dan is a true professional, and when I consider the level of training that he himself has been through, I am struck by how patient he is with absolute beginners in his class. You leave feeling confident in the basics of handling firearms safely and knowing what will likely happen if (God forbid) you have to use your firearm. Dan is among the best in the business, and if you are lucky enough to be take one of his classes - I say go for it.

5* all the way. Colleague and I visiting from Ireland and Scotland; definitely one of the better ranges Ive been to in the US. Very high tech, modern, clean and friendly staff to boot. Theyve a fully automatic M240 which I gave a bit of attention to as well. Bit pricey to shoot but the experience is certainly worth it. Another one ticked off the list!Highly recommend, have recommended it, and will absolutely be back myself. My only bug bare is that you have to bring someone with you if you are renting one of their firearms.

Amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Great people, i prefer to shoot in the woods but this is a good back up when the forest fire season prevents us from going outdoors to shoot. I will definitely be taking a class or 2 here in the future

This place is the greatest! We loved it so much we bought a 10 times punch card when we were leaving. Look forward to going again soon! The scenarios are very realistic. Makes you very aware of what can happen out in this society that most people wouldnt think of happening. And it trains you on how how and when to react. The instructor that we had was very helpful, courteous, patient and very knowledgeable. I tell everyone I know about it. I would recommend that anybody that would like to expeirence the Real World and learn how to protect. Yourself or your family...should take this course!

I have been to threat dynamic with family and friends several times. Each time was a great experience. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We used the simulator and range. Prices are pretty good.I have not been back for several reasons, cant afford there membership prices, I dont go shooting enough to justify the cost of the membership. They no longer allow non-members to bring in ammo. MEMBERS & FAMILY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN AMMUNITION TO SHOOT BUT A $10.00 CHARGE WILL BE APPLIED FOR INSPECTION AND IS SUBJECT TO STAFF APPROVAL. I got one of the Threat Dynamics packages for my birthday. It was very enjoyable! Safest way to play with guns as theres no real ammo involved. You still get to experience the mechanics of a hand gun and the scenarios they offer are more dynamic than going to the range.

This place was incredible and professional, and most importantly to me...efficient. For licensing hey have the process down to a science and no time is wasted. I have done the simulation a handful of times which is super fun for a few people or even large work outings. The range is very nice but a little pricey. Staff is very nice and knowledgable. Overall great place.

I have trained here for over 2 years and it is where I learned how to shoot. The staff are friendly and competent, with a good focus on safety and responsibly handling/owning firearms. Facilities are excellent, and in addition to the indoor range, the scenario based simulator training is a useful reality check. A good place to be introduced to firearms and to train regularly.

Truly an incredible facility! Great training, the instructors are awesome: I highly recommend Korey and Sam! I have trauma in my past and they were SUPER intuitive and sensitive to me taking things at my own pace. I have taken a few classes there, and will continue to train and send everyone I know there as well.

Owning a firearm does not mean you know how to use it. Firearms skills are perishable and even life long shooters must invest in ongoing training. The folks at TD are always great to work with.

I found All of the Staff knowledgeable, highly Competent and Very Safety Orientated, which when dealing with Weapons was of great importance to me as a Novice Shooter. Exceptional place to learn defensive shooting. Very pleasant, helpful staff. The 3-D simulator is teaching me to keep my head on a swivel. Without that training, Im finding the tunnel vision is a very real thing. Also looking forward to the tactical defensive shooting classes.

This was my second time going to Threat Dynamics and I was even more impressed the second time around. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as I entered. I had a custom cerekote job for my competition bow that was a military tribute. They were happy to do it and finished quicker than quoted. It was more than I could have ever expected and I get compliments on it at all the tournaments I go to. Highly recommended.

Great facility. Great staff. Great classes. I give them only 3 stars because they changed the pricing structure (the fee I pay every time I go there) right in the middle of my one-year membership commitment. I did not think that was fair because I went there a lot. Maybe they will not do that any more after they see this review.

We first went to Threat Dynamics on a deal from Groupon and took a couple of friends. We had a blast. Since then we have gone back a couple of times to the surround virtual shooting scenarios. I am no expert but Im not a bad shot. What I like best here is they never treat you like an idiot - which I frequently present as. They are knowledgeable and share as much or as little as you want or need. They laugh with and not at you and they are FUN. It is not a night at the local burger joint; more like Olive Garden with drinks and a movie then a club for drinks. Id be there more if not for the drive!

Great for a date night. My wife had never had shot before they showed her how to properly shoot. We had a great time. We will be back!

Classroom work preliminary to securing concealed weapons permit. Instructions were top flight. Follow up one on one weapons instructions, including tear down, maintenance and shooting were great. Instructors were knowledgeable, and professional. I intend to return.

Just tried Threat Dynamics for the first time. While I have been to many gun ranges in the past I have never received any formal training. Although my marksmanship has always been sub par I’ve always enjoyed shooting. I went to Threat Dynamics with the idea of finally getting some instruction particularly with 9mm handguns which I’ve never used before. When I walked through the door I was cheerfully greeted by Blake, who turned out to be my instructor. He showed my the basics of shooting including safety and then we were off to the range. Blake was extremely patient as he showed me proper lane etiquette and safety. Within the next 30 minutes I went from being all over the target to having the majority of my shots in the bullseye area! Being accurate made the experience of shooting a lot more fun. Getting the option to rent multiple weapons was a plus as I primarily enjoy shooting revolvers. Can’t say enough about Blake and Threat Dynamics...I will definitely be going back there regularly in the future for shooting and a concealed weapon permit class. Thanks Threat Dynamics!

I love this place. It is so much better than your typical range. They have gun rentals and sales, so you can try a gun before you buy one. You can also get your concealed carry permit for multiple States at one location.

Loved this place. Participated in the CHL class today with Ryan and it was great. Four hours is a long time but the instructor was awesome and time seemed to go by quickly while getting a lot of good information. Highly recommend for concealed carry classes.

I attended classes for concealed carry permits at this location. The classes were professionally ran and they did accomplish the goal of obtaining my permits. I would have given them a 5 star rating however after I was done I discovered that the prices I paid to be about 20 to 30 percent greater than other establishments.Sooooooo. The statement you get what you pay for comes into play here. What you are paying for is a top notch experience. But you are also supplementing their primary business which is a state of the art indoor shooting range and an extremely high end gun store. You can get top notch training elsewhere without the added cost. So if you dont mind the cost they offer a variety of times and take care of just about everything in a one stop fashion. The class is professional and state of the art.

This place is a blast. One of the most unique experiences around - go for the full package. There is nothing like getting zapped with 10,000 volts in a simulated active shooter situation.Have been 3 times and will go back again for sure!

A completely immersive experience! Gets your heart pumping and gives you a little bit of insight into the split second decisions law enforcement is facing every day. I challenge anyone to try it and see if your level of respect and understanding for police stays the same. In my opinion this is a great way to spend your day, and well worth the money.

Good place to learn about shooting. Range is safe and well maintained. They have many classes for all levels of knowledge and experience. Guns to rent and sell. Good parking, good access to Tualatin-Sherwood Road. Staff makes everyone feel comfortable, knowledgeable. Local outdoor Gun Club is about 6-8 months on waiting list so these folks are perfect for I want it now shooters.

Very good with the information that was given. The knowledge that was told about the laws of bot the State as well as the Federal Governments was very thorough.

These guys are great and they know what theyre doing! I attended a basic course on handguns ( I am not a real gun person but do own a couple of them). I was embarrassed to say that I owned two weapons but had never shot either of them. By the end of the evening, 2-3 hours for a very decent price, I was confident in using the weapons (if needed). We also were shown proper aiming technique with hands on shooting in a simulator that was realistic. Myself and my neighbor took this course two years ago and I still feel great about the experience. I will go back to Threat Dynamics for basic instruction again, and have no reservations about recommending any of there courses, which are many. Thanks for reading.

Over charged!! Be prepared for trouble when you cancel your membership. I was in 8-26-19 to use the range with a friend. Knowing I was moving out of state that week I requested my membership be canceled. The first thing I noticed was the person helping us changed his attitude instantly, which is something unusual for Threat Dynamics. He then informed me I would have to cancel online. Thats the only way they can do it. Seems a little strange since they had no problem signing me up and taking my money there. I checked out the website and after a little frustration looking for a link to cancel, I ended up using the contact us link to send an e mail. I finally received a response on the 20th of the following month. Stating that my membership had been cancelled but reading on they stated Based on your membership contract, we have received your 30 day request to cancel your membership. If you have a card on file, it will no longer be charged after 10/02/19. They charged me for September which I wasnt pleased with but I understood. Now I find out the have charged me again for October. So rather than do what would be considered reasonable, they have charged me for two additional months. Not good customer service!

I was nervous walking into TD, but Matty was so helpful and patient and kind as giving me information and answering my questions. Then I went back two days later for an instruction hour and Chris was fantastic. He answered every question and no question was dumb. He was super encouraging (I had fears I had to get over) and he was patient. He was a great instructor. Took me step by step. First in the classroom and then the shooting lane. Plan on going again in a couple weeks.

If you haven’t been yet, make it a priority! It’s educational and the simulators really get your adrenaline going!Ryan is our favorite. Brought in a group of 4 non-gun-savvy women (for a work/team-building function) today who were somewhat nervous, but he did a fantastic job of explaining/teaching while making us feel at ease. (As much as is possible). While Ryan is the fave, we’ve never had a bad experience here. The whole team at Threat is top-notch!

Garret was our instructor today and he was amazing. We brought our kids 9 and 12 yo and he was a great source of information and training g fir them. He made the scenarios work for their level and comfort. We had Blake before he too was great. Train your kids safely and train them young.
