Even as a 18 year old, that went with a group of teenagers, it still is one of the best places to have fun and get sweaty. Sad to see that this 15 year old building is closing, such a loving and warm environment. Made many memories from basketball games, arcade games, to just playing around. You will be missed Safari Sam’s️
Excellent customer service on group sales. Possibly the easiest group event I have ever put together. Joel is the best, and the management was really supportive to our circumstances and working with us. It took just a few minutes to get everything set up exactly as we wanted it on our end. I am sure it took much longer on behalf of their awesome staffs end.
An affordable place to take the kids for an afternoon of fun. An activity for every age, even the adults! Kids will want to spend all day here. Okay food. Friendly staff. Dont forget your socks! Can sometimes look like it needs a good cleaning but most dirty areas are out of the reach of little hands.
EDITED**:I miss Safari Sams!!!THEY ARE CLOSED** I Love safari Sams. Wish everything was a little cheaper since I have a large family. But for hours of fun I can justify the cost.
It has a really fun atmosphere that is great for the whole family. They have an amazing play structure for all ages. The food was excellent. The arcade has both vintage games and newer ones.
This place is Awesome!! The kids have a blast and so do the adults. The prices are way more than reasonable and the games are up to date. I woukd recommend this place for birthday parties, good food, or even just a place for the kids to burn some energy!
Awesome play place. I uploaded a bunch of photos. This place had done iffy reviews for a while and my expectations were low but everything was really fun and clean with more stuff to do next times like mini golf, arcade, and bounce houses. The main attraction is the GIANT play structure and its grand and has tons of area for kids to climb around and play in. I wont bore with details of every little area. It does also have a little kids area but its pretty minimal. Good enough for a little rug rat though.Food is adequate which for a place like this is really all you can ask for. I nominally enjoyed my guacamole burger and my kid had a hot dog. They block off the entrance and stamp numbers on kids and adults hands and the numbers must match on the way out or they wont let you take the kid. Really good security measure. We will definitely be back multiple times as this place is less than 10 min away from our new house.
Gluten Free Pizza! Safari Sams has the best gluten Free mini pizza around(must get mini not large). Burgers are awesome. Great place to watch some sports while the kids a playing. Great beer & wine selection too.
This place is pretty dirty to start with. There is plenty of gunk under the play structure and the bathrooms were gross. The prices of the pizza are pretty steep and not good quality at all. We just had a pepperoni and it was bland, greasy and not worth ordering ever again. When we tried to order beer, we were told that we cant order until 6pm.The games are limited, which would be fine if they were working. The first game we tried, ate 2 tokens. I told the front person and she gave them back. The second game didnt give tickets. Come to find out if the light is blinking, the tickets are out. Multiple machines were blinking after this realization. I approached the front person again and she made more excuses and instead of fixing the issue, she gave us the amount of tickets we would have received for the amount of points we had.I ended up having to do this for 3 more machines (without blinking lights) and twice for different machines that ate the tokens. The front person just kept saying that the machines have problems because of people with sticky fingers, ticket jams, and on.There was not a single person who could put tickets in the machines Or repair the problems.I can definitely say that I will not be coming back.
Had my kids birthday here two years running and planning a third. Its hassle free, the staff is great, costs less than the competition and has waaaaaay more fun stuff for the kids to do. Well worth the drive out to it.
The high price of the food brought this down from a four star review to a two star. Outrageous food prices and the food isnt even made by highly trained cooks. The price of the food alone makes this place not worth coming back to. The fact that they also have a rule of no outside food or drink makes it seem like they only care about the money and not the comfort of customers.
This is a great place to take the kids for a day of fun. Fairly secure (one way in and out) so you can camp out at the tables near the door and let the older kids run free. Id give this place 5 stars if the food was better. Besides that, its a great place for a birthday, play date, etc.
This place is deceptively large for being inside a strip mall. The mini golf holes and the jungle gym take up the bulk of the square footage. Its a full 18 holes too which makes it fun. They have both new and older video games but because somewhat limited on total number because of the mini golf and jungle gym.My 6 year old son had a lot of fun on his birthday. There was definitely a lot to do. But heres the best part for the adults. The food. Generally you go to places like this for the kids to play around and get ok food. But it really was pretty good. But the real highlight menu item is the beer battered fries. They honestly put some bar and pub fries to shame. They fry them up just right and are not greasy at all. Definitely worth a trip to take the kids and enjoy yourself too with some good fries.
Very busy with birthday parties on the weekend, but the jungle gym structure is large and the mini golf and bounce room offer more play areas (for an add on fee). Fun place to come in and let the kids run on rainy days. One downside to the food. They dont sell pitchers of drinks or water. You have to get individual cups.
Not too many games, which is a good thing, and a GREAT way for the kids to burn up excess energy. The giant jungle gym is amazing. Also has glow in the dark miniature golf.....dorky or cool, cant decide. Staff is friendly too, which is not all that common, ironically, in these kinda places. Lost a star bc it could be cleaner, but whatever.
The place is a little dirty. But my family loves going here. Its best to eat before you go as it gets a bit expensive. The mini golf is lots of fun mixed with some arcade play makes it perfect.
This place is amazing for the little guys...and parents alike. Was there for a birthday with my 2 1/2 year old and she LOVED it! She played for 3 hours straight and didnt want to leave! The only problem is we come from Gresham and its a bit of a drive, but for once in awhile i will for sure be going back. But really ...please bring one closer! Need to have more places to take my daughter closer to home :)
This place is great. Pizza could be a little cheaper or higher quality if they keep the prices the same. And on your meal packages, let people chose two specialty pizzas instead of two 3-topping pizzas.
Dont go in on a hot summer day. The AC just not strong enough to keep the place cool. one third arcade games are not working! I also pay for the bouncer house only to find out later that only one bouncer house is working! I counted over 20 kids jumping around in the only working bouncer house at one time!! I dont think that is safe!
I love the affordable play, I just hate the food. All greasy and gross with no options for my lactose intolerant little one. If theyre going to only have unhealthy options I wish theyd let us bring our food. The play options are nice though.
Crazy, fun and great value! My son loves to run through the obstacle course. During weekends the place can be a bit noisy and hectic with all of the birthday parties, but that is what youd expect. Okay menu with several options.
Had a great time with both of my girls. They mark hands at the door with an alternating cypher, which makes peace of mind for this dad. Thank you
Think of Safari Sams as a Chuck E. Cheese with miniature golf instead of the horrifying animatronic band. Crowded, loud, and every surface seems to be sticky. The miniature golf is a bargain at $5 per person per round, and the course is very charming and extensive. Despite the heavy contours of the course, it is VERY easy. My eldest son got three holes-in-one, I got two, and my other son got one. I cant comment on the food because we just did the miniature golf.
Food was really slow, I knew they were busy so that didnt bother me much. They lost my order and after waiting 40 minutes since ordering I asked for a refund which I did recurve. Service was ok but polite. The jungle gym was by far the best part. We will probably go back for the jungle gym but not the food. The games are decent but no good games for smaller children. In all not to bad but not great.
This is one of my favorite kid places to go to. My daughter lives it and I enjoy just hanging out. Pizza isnt bad, the play structure is huge and they have a semi fun mini putt putt course. There are arcade games but a lot of those need to be exchanged out for newer ones that work. Some reviewers are right, this place is ran by a bunch of high schoolers which does make for bad service. They really do need to bring in a manager to regulate service.
During all the rain we have had, the kids can run and play and get all their energy out. And I feel safe even if I cant see them at all times..
I love coming here in the winter and for my 20 month old who is still free to get his energy out, the toddler area is just ok.I probably wont come here much at all after he turns the age where he no longer is free because its not worth it. The place seems very run down and not cleaned very well. If you go in there look underneath the structure and you can see just how much gross stuff has accumulated! The womens bathroom has only 1 of 3 stalls in order and the 1 left wasnt even stocked! If it was cleaner and the toddler are got a little better than I would consider paying as the prices arent too bad with the Groupon we had bought to bring our niece and nephew with us (they are 11 years old).
Fun jungle gym but the front desk is so slow. They only have one person to man the cash register and distribute prizes. Makes for a really slow process
Great for kids, horrible for parents or allergies. If you dont mind the headache from the noise and eating grossly overpriced food, the kids will be happy.
Its a fun place for kids, indoor idea is perfect as it rains so much around here. They could improve the arcade with more machines and the prizes are super cheeze! But fun overall.
I like going to Safarie Sams because the jungle is really fun their. It is really safe in the jungle because their are mats that have cushion in it if you fall in any part you would not get hurt. Too bad I cant go often or I would go many times. I would totally recommend this place.
The whole place could use a vacuum cleaner... The mini golf course is about right for small kids. The kids love the jungle gym and run wild for hours.
They took really great care of us while we were there! Fun place for kids too.
The kids love it here :) Unfortunately they are no longer in business
Kids had a great time. Birthday party was well organized and staff very friendly
Good place for kids to play. Food is not that great. Service is below average.
Incredible place for children of all ages!Small play area for the toddlers. Massive jungle gym. Black diamond challenge is a hoot to navigate for any age, including the adults! Small arcade, black light mini golf, many options for reservations. The jungle gym is not only large, but provides ample space throughout most of its structure, allowing kids to get around each other and not cause blockades. This is also nice for adults who wish to escort younger ones through the massive maze in all its padded glory. The 70% of the establishment comes wrapped in rounded corners and soft surfaces. Allowing the children to go crazy without a large amount of headache and gasping from the parents.Have not found a single employee with a bad temperament. In my experience theyve all been friendly and helpful. When being admitted youre stamped with your children, to verify that all children leaving, are with the proper adult.Their food menu is comprised of everything youd expect in a place like this, pizza, fried foods, other typical entrées. A dozen ice creams and lots of sugary foods is popular with the kiddos. Plus coffee and alcohol for the adults. Prices werent as high as I actually expected. I would say reasonable to good for the type of establishment.Adults are free, under 2 is free, and pricing otherwise is reasonable given the options here. If your kid burns themselves out running around, they can sit down for some food, then go rack up tickets at the arcade.Safari Sams doesnt do anything new, they just do everything right, and went to the extremes on the incredible jungle gym. Whether for a birthday party, celebration or just a fun day, this should excite the kids and is a barrel of fun for everyone.
Worst customer service ever! Tried to schedule a birthday party for my son 2 weeks in advance. The birthday coordinator was very rude, she acted like she didnt know who I was after we had been emailing 2 wks in advance. I put in the subject line, requesting time and date. She then replied I cant help you if I dont have a date. She then stated I needed to call and put down a deposit. I call, has no idea what Im talking about. Then says, well you didnt say what month. Obviously its in same month requesting for the 18th Im asking for and says shes fully booked. Would never recommend to any one. Hire a new birthday coordinator please. Didnt even try to help and had the worst attitude. Pretty much ruined my 6 year olds birthday even for me and the family.
Disappointed is an understatement.Very few of the games work and the place is dirty. There is hardly anyone here and you cant pick up the cups on the floor? Come on. The bathroom had pee on the seat, the freshener was beeping because it was out and there were no paper towels. The blacklight mini golf was pretty cool and the play structure is big, but the rest of this place blows. The price for what you get totally isnt worth it. Save your money.
Fun for kids & adults too. However most of the machine or table games are not well-maintained. They should come up with more space & better administration.
Jungle gym is huge. Big enough for me to stand up in which makes it easier to play with my kids.
Great place for little ones. My 2 year old had a blast here for his birthday. It can get pretty crowded and chaotic on the weekends but thats part of the experience.
My kids love this place, but as a parent I think its gross and over priced - I think it was around $22.50 just for play structure admittance for 3 kids, ouch. The last time we visited, it was a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed, the line to get in and to order food or drinks was long. But I get it, its a Saturday with lots of birthday parties. What bothers me the most is how dirty this place is. After watching my kids play in the giant play structure for quite some time, my 10 year old daughter comes up to me and says he socks are wet. She took them off and they clearly smelled like pee. Nasty! Who knows how often - if ever- the play structure gets cleaned. So if you dont mind being over charged and exposing your kids to all manner of nasty stuff, go for it I guess?
As a first time customer to Safari Sams, my family was utterly impressed by the size of the Jungle Gym. Other than that, everything was pretty terrible. For starters, the place is completely run by high schoolers who really do not know what they are doing. We did not see anyone in charge who was over the age of 23. Just trying to get the admissions settled was a nightmare. The cashier did not know what he was doing. Then we went and ordered food. The cashier had no clue what she was doing; she tried to charge me $10 more than what it should have been. Every second she was asking for help. After I finally got my order in, I waited 20 minutes just to get HALF my meal. They did not place the correct order. With apologies, they gave me the buzzer again and I waited another 20 minutes for one of my meals, after being told it would only be a few minutes. I went up to the cashier and asked where my meal was and they didnt even know what I ordered. I was so angry that I dropped their buzzer and walked away. I do not recommend going there... My expectations were high for this place, but we were severely disappointed on how pathetic the customer service was. I guess thats what you get when you let high schoolers run a business.
Love this place, its gonna be a monthly ritual to get my kids the exercise they need.
Awesome!!! My youth group had an all- nighter there, so much fun!!!! We got the whole place to ourselves for the night. Loved it!!!
Fun place to take the kids on a wet fall or winter day.P.S. Parents be warned, the tables and floors are more often than not sticky etc(spilt soda or something).
Very busy. Good prices are high for low quality food. Ok just to let kids play if its raining outside.
Great fun for the kids. Awsome jungle gym. Skip the putt putt though - pretty lame.
Great place for kids to play but too many openingz in playplace for kids to escape to other parts of the building. Some token games ate our tokens.
My daughter loves this place. Always a good time.
AMAZING. I went for an all nighter a while back and nothing was bad, the workers were sweet, and i actually really liked the pizza!
Waste of time and money! The jungle gym part is not safe for little kids. I see there are kids ranging from 2 or 3 to teenager together in the jungle. There is a part that requires one to jump up to get onto it. My 6 year old could not do it, so she cried, and had to ask me to help her get onto that. For older kids, I’m wondering why they waste their time here. They could spend time and money better in somewhere else.$5 bounce house only has two bounce houses. Too expensive. The game machine is even more ridiculous. There is one game machine that cost 8 tokens (25c/token) by just swing the handle once. Kids can get into bad habit of Gambling.Staff is not helpful either. One ticket counting machine is broken. I told the front desk staff. He said okay, but would not even bother to get out to take a look.
The kids love everything! Slept in the car for once.
Love love love it here! I wish I didnt live so far away
Worth the drive from Vancouver and was pleasently suprised at the managers personable and gracious manner.Well Played Sir, Well playedmark
Got a Groupon as a gift, otherwise it can be a little spendy for an hours worth of interest. But we had fun while it lasted!
At safari sams you will have a good time.[I like the jungle gym]
Fun on a rainy day a little dirty could use some mild updating but my daughter loves it here we will keep coming back
Great place to burn off all that extra energy!
We took our special needs grandchildren...which included triplets.......the staff was awesome...the food was great and the price was good......we stayed for 3hrs......will definately be returning.....as well as letting other people know.....thanku for a great time and wonderful mems
Fun place. Attractions reasonably priced. Food pricy.
The venue itself is great. I had my sons 3rd birthday party there. All the kids had fun. The issue is communication amongst the party planners. I originally asked for a cabana, price is $3 more per child, but you get a separate space. I was told they werent busy at all that day, so it wouldnt be an issue. We scheduled it for 11, then 4, but when I called to verify everything a couple days prior, they still had me at 11 and no cabana. Told them again I wanted it, another gal said no issues. Not to my surprise on the day we arrived, we were seated in the hallway, no cabana. The host apologized but there were no cabanas left, and they decided to leave out the minor detail that the other rooms were in construction. We were seated in what kind of resembled a dark dingy classroom, the tiki hut they called it. They took $20 off my bill which was around $270ish. I wont be scheduling any more birthday parties here, for that price you get a room at JJ Jump, which for me is local. Lost a customer safari sams, Ill also spread the good word around. We moms like stress free environments.
The kids love it but, good luck finding a clean table
Good for younger kids on rainy days or for a birthday. Tends to be crowded and on the pricier side, food is average at best.
Plenty of games & activities for the kids. The food is about on par with other similar type establishments throughout the metro area however, priced at a slight premium. Despite running to what they perceive to be full capacity on a weekend they could easily turn over tables (and keep the facility much cleaner at the same time) by simply clearing tables when needed. I wound up cleaning my own table, as did several others nearby, while staff simply walked by on their way back to the kitchen empty handed. There didnt seem to be any sense of urgency on their part nor direction from Management to find something to do at all times. In addition, the single line to order food & beverage is very inefficient and I observed several customers get frustrated and walk away. If virtually every table that could be cleaned was & food could be ordered in a timely fashion not only would customers be more inclined to return but, the average $ spent per customer would be much higher than Im sure it currently is. The staff needs better training, it has nothing to do with the fact that virtually all the employees are very young as they were polite & pleasant.
Safari Sams is a family playground. I am always treated nice, jungle gym is safe for kids, the food is good . Lets talk about the golf area, I am telling you I am a fan of places my little angel love to play at.
This place is pretty cool kids and adult friendly
Great place for kids with a huge jungle gym.
Great place for a party and kids love it.
Really good place for kids birthday party!!!
Love spending time with the family here.
Yikes...fun for the kids but crazy busy and noisy...luckily they have separate rooms to party in.
Kids love it. Food is spendy and mediocre.
The jungle gym is 5 bucks a kid from mon Thursday and its cheap and fun
Kinda spendy and crowded
Awesome place for kids.
It was terrible
Fun fun fun!
Great fun for the kids
Half the games are broken and they charge $7.50 just to get in. Rip off
Expensive
It was Lord of the flies, when we went.
If you have kids that like to climb this is your place. Beer and standard grill food/pizza.
Great place
Food is not good but you come for the kids anyways. Run by a bunch of teenagers so the service is non existent.
Great place for the kids!
