Clean place for birthday parties and for swimming after. Grandkids had a ball!

Some of the staff who work here are very rude to the kids. Not everyone drops their kids off unattended and some kids have home training. You all should treat EVERYONE with respect and decency. If you cant, you should probably consider working where young kids are not present.

Decent pool, lockers, shower room, gym, skate park, basketball and racquet ball.

I’ve had a gym membership for a year in a half and randomly one day am told I can’t do what I’ve been doing ever since the first time I visited. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve always walked on the track, and then went to the room with weight machines. I get told today, out of the blue, after already walking on the track for 45 minutes, that I can’t walk anymore. That my membership is for the fitness room only. So after a year in a half. I get told I’m no longer able to do what I’ve always done. I would be completely understanding if I was told I can’t walk on the track on day one. But I was told at day 500 which is not acceptable. Would not recommend getting any membership here.

I have been going to the rec center for over a year and love it. I spend most of my time in the weight room, they have machine weights and free weights. The treadmills and ellipticals are good to warm up on it’s always clean and well kept.

Great walking trails, $3.00 gym pass, basketball, baseball, swimming pool, fisbee golf, outdoor charcoal grills, and many picnic tables. Excellent to escape out into nature and ideal for all bird watchers!

So Ive been going here for years. Right now I normally use the fitness center but have used other services provided by the center. This place brings so many good memories to mind and its such a wonderful place to hang out and just have fun with family, especially the outdoors portion. You can name anything and Im certain that there is a way to do it here.

Great options! Pool, workout room, exercise classes, great disc golf course, free tennis course and outside basketball court. Also a great walking trail. The rec will give you a basketball to use to play outside for free. They also sell discs for disc golf. There is also a racket ball court inside. There is a basketball court and walking trail inside.

Awesome place

Great place to take the family. They honor silver sneakers and have classes. They have a walking track upstairs, they also have a fitness center to use to workout in. They have a inside and outside pool which is wonderful. They have a nature trail to walk on and check out nature trail at its finest. The service is wonderful everyone is always so nice and greet you when you walk in. They also have a Hugh park for the little children to come and play in. They have a skateboard play center for the older children to play on. They also have a basketball court, and picnic tables to just come and relax and have a bite to eat. They even have baseball fields its such a wonderful place we go there to workout and relax on our days off.

My family has spent lot of time here over the years. The staff is awesome, particularly the janitorial staff. Always smiling and so helpful.

This rec center is just the best. There are so many worthwhile activities for an individual or a family. I love there are classes or programs offered for all ages, including crafts! Its always well-maintained and in ship-shape. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Dont miss out!

We drive 2 hours to watch our grandchildren play ball here. Very well organized.

Great place to go have some fun weather you want to visit the pool. Skate park. Park. Batting cages. Gym. Racquetball. Walking trail or play frisbee golf. You can have parties there.

About the best place in Shelbyville to take your children, they have a good size outdoor playground which is fenced in, & a batting cage, indoor / outdoor pool, basketball & tennis courts, their are also adult and senior activities just way too much to list .

Great place. I am a long time member. Employees seem like family.

My son and his friends loved the skate park. I play tennis there sometimes and the frisbee golf is cool.

I love goin there to swim

Fun place to bring the whole family the pool is $1 to swim durring the winter. Also has a skate park trail to ride or walk. I thought it was nice that they have a handicap swing and entrance to the park. I posted a picture of it so people can see it.

I have only been to the playground and skate park but from what Ive seen, its pretty amazing. I moved here from Murfreesboro and they dont even have a skate park so thats a lovely feature, especially for my 10 yr old. My younger o es love tbe playground. Tons to do to keep them busy for hours. Its clean, theres police and park patrol driving around quite frequently. Not in a theres always trouble here kinda way but more in a lets keep this peaceful kinda way. No hooligans or creeps hanging around. We havent been inside yet but the outside is awesome.

I dont realy know what to say But 4 STARS

Had a blast yesterday for their 1st opening of the year. They went all out for the louo. Yet one problem I seen where some people paid $5 for the outside pool. Other I seen paid $3 for inside pool and was able to go to the outside one. Wasnt very happy about that part.

Senior walk with ease class is both educational and safe exercises.

Its very fun! It has a gym, a ping pong place, a tennis court, an indoor and outdoor pool, an arcade, and more! It also EXTREMELY cheap!

Love working out here, theyve got everything I want that a normal gym doesnt have (such as a pool and racquetball court). And, if you sign up in January, you get a discount on your year long membership!

There is no place better to workout and Shelbyville Rec Center. They have pools racquetball courts basketball courts attract and a large workout center. The people there are really sweet.

This is a great place to go and enjoy so family time its always clean and well taken care of its quite and not over run with alot of people you can go and just have a relaxing day at the pool and the staff is really nice always with a smile on their faces love going with the family I havery family that drives 2 hours to go spend the day at the Shelbyville community pool and have fun

Every year we sign my granddaughter up for summer camp every year cause she loves it every Monday Wednesday Friday from I think 7:30 or 7:40-3:30 or 3:00 they go swimming for Free They all so has fun they do fun activities like go to the park play volleyball and play with the water sprinkles

This city of known for their beautiful horses, the horses they abuse so they will strut and raise their legs high. Chemicals are put on these horses hooves, legs so the acid can eat into their legs and make them raise the legs higher. This city sponsors animal abuse and is a shame on humanity. Never will I got there and I willl tell all my friends to avoid. The owners of these horse should have the acid put on their legs..think they will jump a bit.Outright abuse is the by-line of this city.

Went for the swimming. Had indoor n outdoor pools. Signs up saying no diving and no jumping in. 2 lifeguards and still no rules were put into action. Kids even playing in lap pool. Locker room totally run down.
