Indiana Grand Racing & Casino

Theyre doing a great job of keeping patrons safe with Covid. They restricted entry to the garage, since theres no valet. Which is great, however, theres only one way to get into the line. So if its a long line, which it was the night I attended, you have to walk closely to everyone else already in line. Seemed counter productive. Also, there was only one refreshments station open. I understand thats for our protection, but the one perk of gambling at Indiana grand is free soft drinks, coffee, and water. Not being able to get that except for one corner of the large gambling floor was unfortunate. I was really eager to play roulette on the live tables. ALL of them were CLOSED. Which was a disappointment. But I still TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!

Had a blast here with my Dad and Uncle. It was pretty busy but we still found plenty of things to do. Very clean and the slots were paying out pretty well.

Nice and clean. Everyone was masked up and if not reminded to do so. Love it here!

Update : 11/13/2020As a returning customer, I am highly disappointed tonight. My FH sat down to play blackjack and I was standing six feet away from the table. She asked me to step back and ensure six feet distance. First of, Im already at least 10 feet from her and other guests. Second of all, must I take photos of EVERYONE else that isnt being told to social distance and not wear a mask? I am about to request management.I have been here several times since covid-19 and the customer service is honestly completely hit or miss. Last night was the first night I experienced great customer service at the blackjack table. I actually found it enjoyable. Usually its someone rude or stuck up and doesnt chat. The two people we had last night were very great! One name was Shannon. I cant remember the gentlemans name though from 10/11.

I worked here for several months, great people, great management, and I had an awesome time. Food is good, plenty of tables and machines.

Good social distancing practices but not many sanitizing stations except near entries. No wiping at tables or machines.

We love coming here! Even if we dont come out with big bucks, we always have a great time!!

Very nice casino, the horse racing track is very nice as well. The Staff are very nice and Helpful, good alcohol beverages, and good food. Thank you .

, one of the friendliest places you could ever visit, and if you have a wife or girlfriend if you want them press and take them to the steakhouse. Is probably the best kept secret in Indiana. Dim Lighting in Perry romantic, in the service and the server are fantastic. Tell them you want the Tomahawk Steak. And what youre mate, I brighten up like a candle.

Had a fantastic time. We ate at the Center Cut Steak house for dinner the Beef Wellington was the special is was amazing perfectly cooked. It happened to be our 11 year anniversary the staff was so happy for us and the service reflected. Thanks for the great memories.

If you are looking for fun and getting away from stress. This place is the best to enjoy yourself.

Running thanksgiving promotions but cannot get the email to use it! This used to be my favorite place and favorite reward program. Not anymore switching to MLIFE

Even with the social distancing, you still have good choices for machines. However, getting the one that you really want is sometimes an issue. People just sit and sit and sit. However still many of choices. I had accidentally left a friends sweat jacket on the back of a chair and when I went back to seyif I could retrieve it, yes it was gone. Fearing the worse, I spoke with Larry one of the gaming table supervisors, he called security and Eric came carrying it out. Thank you sweet Jesus. I could have just hugged them forever. The machines were always being disinfected continuously. Would definitely recommend this as a nice place to win your millions.

I felt safe the whole place is very clean. The staff is very friendly. Nice selection of games to play as well! All the lock it link games and fun table games! Ill be back

First time in quite a while since Ive been there. No valet due to Covid and the front entrance isnt open either. You have to park in the garage and go through the entrance on that side of the building.Super fun atmosphere. The bar was open which was nice. The lines for food were kind of long but it was Saturday night and they were pretty packed. Everyone was masked up. The bartender told us if Security has to tell you twice to put your mask back on, youre asked to leave. You could have it pulled down only if you were eating, drinking or smoking. They also had machines shut down to enforce the social distancing so you couldnt sit right next to anyone.5 stars all around!

I really like visiting all the casinos but this one is very beautiful

The beer was a reasonable price. The betting kiosks were rather straight-forward. It was nice to have something to do that did not require you to wear a mask as it is outdoors. Parking was easy access and free which was nice.

Waiter Jeremy was absolutely fantastic. Food was 5 star along with service. Even Eric the restaurant manager cared about our service and food

The appearance and access from parking garage is very nice. I liked the amount of slot machines available and the overall atmosphere. The machines were somewhat tight compared to the other casinos in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan but you could win. The issue was the cleanliness. They allow smoking in the casino, you are suppose to be at a machine however it was not controlled. This made for very messy, dirty machines with ashes and dirty ashtrays sitting on the machine. I couldn’t find any staff to wipe the machine down and remove any potentially contaminated matter. Beer bottles and cups were sitting everywhere around machines. I never saw anyone making rounds to pick up and wipe off. There wasn’t enough staff standing around monitoring masks and too many people had them pulled down. The final disappointment was when we went to the sidewalk cafe to get something to eat. When we picked up our food the dining table area was very very dirty. Tables weren’t wiped down, used napkins on the floor, other multiple spills were visible and mayo packs were exploded on the floor. We sat there an hour an no one even checked on the condition of the area. Maybe once the pandemic threat is over I would maybe consider going back but there are other casinos who are managing the clean and safe so much better.

Need more open machines but good times. Hopefully the buffet will open again. Sidewalk Cafe has the best corndog and chicken tender baskets! Over all, a great place to spend an evening!

I love the Casino, always enjoy it, but dont like wearing the mask, so I wont visit again till that mandate is finished. (I pulled it down anyway once I sat down ). I played for almost 3 hrs, but never won over $40 at any one time. So..I think the slots are tight, or they were that day. Hopefully...next time I visit will be a larger winning day. Very clean restrooms and casino. Friendly employees.

My 3 sisters and I went on Aug. 8, 2020. It was not a good experience from the time we arrived. The place was packed. There was only one entrance available for the crowd of people. The parking garage only had 1 working elevator with limit of 3 people. So needless to say there was a long line. The line was also long to enter which did move pretty steady. However several people standing in line were older some with walkers and cane. There were no access line for those who had difficulty standing or walking for long periods of time. There was supposed to be a gas card give away may that was the reason for the crowd. However they ran out of gas cards which seems ironic since they should have known how many cards were sent out. Simple math could tell you if you sent 100 invites you should have 100 cards. DUH. It was overall a terrible experience. The only reason we did not leave is because we drove over an hour to get there. It was a complete cluster f***.

I traveled 2 hours to visit this casino. Took two pdos from work. The food credits that had been emailed to us were not recognized by staff. We are very kind customers. Very generous tippers. We are both essential workers and understand the brevity of the situation for entertainment employees. The staff in general here have an air that they are disgusted by the customers and they really do not want to deal with them. Caveat: an older lady in the rewards area was kind to us and attempted to review our food credit reward issue but it actually never worked. A young worker in the cafe treated me like a criminal when I attempted to use it and stopped and actually talked about me to a coworker right in front of me. I asked for a chicken caeser salad. She said we dont have those. Im not only looking at the item on the menu but also in the case where several are made and ready to sell. Extremely unprofessional. I felt bullied. We spent the entire day attending both racing and casino. The staff over in the racing part were helpful. There is no cleaning taking place at table games between customers. The person I was with started winning on roulette which is rare and men in suits said he had to leave and used the excuse that a person was only allowed to drink a few beers and then they had to leave the property. I was driving and I was drinking orange juice. I believe if we had been losing money on roulette no one would have pushed us around like that. Do not make this a destination casino. It was an awful experience. Awful. Go somewhere where youll be treated with respect. (There are no non smoking table games either)

Wouldnt let me get a choice card because they didnt want to accept my paper license that the bmv gives now to hold you over while you wait for the hard copy of your license. If its good enough for them and hollywood casino and hard rock casino they accepted it, why not caesars Indianapolis

Not fun anymore. Can not even have a coke or coffee to drink now. The slot pay out is horrible. Can not win enough to play a couple of hours. Since Ceasers has owned it has gone down hill. They need to shut down again.

I havent had a single problem since Ive been going here even during covid. I have been going here for over 1 year now. Its kept clean and they have free soft drinks as well. I definitely recommend it!

I visit a great deal of casinos when I travel but this one is the worse. The buffet was horrible last year when we went and they didnt have any of the GOOD slots but we decided to try the slots again this year since we were in the area. And guess what...still no good ones. I mean even little ole Miami Valley Gaming in Ohio has new slots. Poor tink tink. A 3rd visit is a hard no for us.

Its a very clean casino. The staff is courteous. Its a comfortable environment, its not overcrowded and uncomfortable.

I win a little and lose but that’s why they call it gambling you’re taking a chance I prefer here outta of any in Indiana although Harrahs I think is slowly getting better I have no complaints I love Shelbyville casino

Managers are power trip, they kept telling you to observe 6ft distance however managers and supervisors are not even observing it. They get too close to players on the table while talking. They also favor people or friends over others. Managers/supervisors will save seats for their friends that are playing over 30 mins in the other table.

I had fun playing those machines and I just love the turkey sandwich.

The feds allow alot of things that should keep u away from here. No casinos are letting anyone win when they can barely staff the places fully. The dice are loaded cards are stacked for house advantage games set on unbelievable and you cant even get a break on a drink. Wait til this covid is over an done dont waste your time. They have enough to pay for fines if nobody wins and they consistently pay the fines.

Good food usually. Will be glad when things go to work normal.

This was my first time at a casino. I enjoyed myself for the most part. There was a very wide array of slots and I found a couple that I really liked. The only complaint was none of the ATM machines were working. Im definitely going back though and hopefully Ill hit it big next time

Not impressed with the casino and definitely not with Center Cut restaurant. Extremely over priced for the quality of food you get!

Was not impressed. Simply put overall experience was just not good.

I went to Grand Monday, when they reopened at 1pm. Was a long, fast moving line to get in. Approximately two thirds of the slots were closed. Half people not wearing masks. Did not feel safe & it was crowded. Hard find slot open, like playing musical chairs, when slot opened, u had jump in a chair, & people were waiting, also unsafe, could see fights over that. When I left at 5pm, line was long, out the garage door. No way were there enough slots open for everyone! Not a good, safe environment! No hurry to go back.

I had a fun time. Everything was well taken care of as far as social distancing, hand sanitizer and cleaning repeatedly.

I must definitely, LOSE more than I win. I enjoy going, I just wish the machines werent so tight.

Less than half the customers were wearing masks properly, very few free machines, no acrylic dividers between, they just turned them off.

Girls derby day was great. Betting was lousy Did not have enough tellers for this event. Long lines caused lots of players to be shut out of races, because they only had 2 TELLERS for DERBY DAY

I went to the casino on Easter Sunday. It is incredibly clean on the inside and is very open and spacious and Ive been other times and never has it been very packed. This allows you to actually enjoy yourself there without having to bump shoulder to shoulder with people even during what would be peak times. They do not have actual live blackjack tables or poker tables in the main casino they just have the video versions. Which I like much better than live versions anyways much less pressure. They do however have a live poker tables in the poker room and all kinds of games and tournaments going on every day. The slots range from penny slots all the way to $20 a spin slots and they have over 300 different slots on the main casino floor. Besides a casino they of course also have a horse track there where you can see live horse racing I think about three months out of the year. Then finally they have two or three amazing restaurants inside of the casino and the fancy part of the horse track. They also have just basic food that you can eat while at the casino that is very tasty and affordable. They have drink stands and of course serve free soft drinks for anyone in the casino and the waitresses come around to you on a regular basis in her very kind but are not bothersome. This is why I gave the casino 5 stars.

The gaming tables were cold to me but most of the peeps around me seam to be hitting..very clean great decor.

Its just a lot of fun and everyone is accepted no matter who you are

I like to give it a 1 star because they take all my money, but I always have a good time, winning or not.

We are 7☆ players and have been playing at Indiana Grand since it opened. We have been selective with where we go since the beginning of the Pandemic. This was our 2nd time there zince March. Normally we would have been there 20 times. I have to say we were very disappointed in the monitoring and enforcing of the face coverings. I understand that this is a challenging task, but Indiana Grand is failing at this aspect of their job. We have been to other casinos and they do better. We may not be back until the virus is resolved.

No social distancing at the tables, even touching shoulders sometimes. No further enforcing of the masks once inside the door. And kinda odd that indiana grand took a picture of a man that won 14,000 smiling away in his picture with his big fake check and no mask on. Have been there 3 times since reopening. The machines are extremely tight. They have to recoup their money from when the casino was closed. Came with 100.00 and only bet 1.00 a play and didnt even last 45 minutes. Horse track no longer open on Saturdays and no entertainment. Will wait till next year to return.

I love this place, I return here multiple times a month, and spend alot of money, I dont really win very much and its something me and my girlfriend enjoy doing allot . Its a perfect date night and they have a great buffet and live dj on some nights . Its a great experience for me and my girlfriend. We absolutely love it. So five stars.......!!!!!!!!!✓

Very tight machines, walked around for a while after losing the money I was willing to give away and never saw anyone winning. Also the food was very sub par. I do not intend to ever go back.

We attended the horse racing only today. Its a beautiful facility that has lots of potential but we were mainly disappointed. On Saturdays you pay a $5 admission fee per adult to eat at the Clubhouse. We chose the buffet which is $20 each. A program is $3. The buffet entree and sides quality is excellent but your side choices are severely limited. There were no green vegetable choices. There is a salad area with cocktail shrimp which was popular. The dessert bar is mediocre. All the personnel are pleasant. The track also makes a miserable attempt at having a children/family area. The first 3 games the kids tried to play failed and took their money. The outside deck has a number of food stands and bars that look pretty fun. Tip: Make dinner reservations early if you want a table close to the windows to watch the races otherwise you view via TV.

Not very pleased with my visit this time slots werent hitting not to mention they limited on where you could smoke where you can stay where you can drink where you can eat excetera excetera some staff was rude

I would give a zero if possible. They take a foreign ID but not a United States federal ID that includes birthday, photo and even finger print .

My experience was not to bad on my recent visit. My biggest issue is the fact that I had to spend 20 minutes trying to track down a member of floor staff to help me with some minor issues I was having with a slot machine.The buffet is absolutely amazing, and is worth a trip just to come and eat. The selection and freshness of the food is absolutely amazing.

Lost $200, but love the memories from this place

Stopped by 1.5-2 hours to get in long line in the parking garage and the parking lot was empty very poor forethought and planning. It will be a very long time before I return. Im sure there are other gaming establishments that will welcome me in a more effective manner.

Very disappointed, received post card for promotion. Even checked with customer service midway through my play to see if I had reached the 150 point required to get the purse. She said I had 89 points, never stated I didnt get the offer. After getting over the requirements, went back to customer service and stated I didnt get the promotion. Why didnt the first lady mention that????

This place has went from bad to worse!!! Noone is winning much at all, unless you are in the IN crowd.

We come here quite often and tonight we had to encounter one of your staff members who had a horrible personality and attitude, Kathy needs a lot of guidance on how to deal with the public, she was very cold and rude, I’m not sure if she’s always like this but for the benefit of your gamblers I would hope not!! If you’re rude staff member (Kathy) is going to enforce the COVID rules she needs to do it with EVERYONE and not just a select few. One of the rudest staff I have ever encountered here!!

Great place for meeting friends for dinner and drinks as well as a clean casino enviroment. Live entertainment on certain nights. My daughter and I love the 2 seat games! Drink stations are a bonus!
