Staff was exceptionally knowledgeable. Great for upper elementary kids and older. Hidden gem!

This is small but full of beautiful and interesting artifacts. From mummies to modern arts to shrunken heads. There is a nominal fee worth paying.

We visited with the grandsons a few weeks ago and also met up with an old friend while in town as well. A great place to take in some amazing history.

I was simply amazed at the quality of the collection. Not to mention the level of diversity. The fact that all of the items were collected in the early part of the 20th century speaks volumes about the sensitivity and foresight of the collector himself. Only a small percent is on display which means I’ll have to make my way back in the future. I look forward to many repeat trips.

Cant believe I didnt know this amazing hidden treasure was here. They offer a great deal of events that are open to the community. Their staff are extremely friendly. Even when I attended a highlighted exhibit lecture and was considerably underdressed. No one said a thing and they made sure to welcome me and make me feel apart of the group and invited me back.Personally this is the best museum in Oklahoma and I love going to museums.

The museum section is very small. One room divided into 9 sections. They have a nice gift shop though

SO glad we stopped here!! Wonderful displays and the gentleman working was so informative and friendly!! Admission is free in June and July, which was a surprise, so we donated our ticket money at the museum. Highly recommend checking out this museum!

Its a small place but alot of great stuff to see

This is a hidden jewel in the middle of Oklahoma! Lots of beautiful art, and the mummies are so interesting. They have a scavenger/ code game to play that draes the kids attention to various items. Admission was free the day we visited, how can you beat that?

I am not sure how I have never been here before, it is a small museum but it is great. We visited right as they were opening and the gentleman working the front desk was very nice and welcoming. All the exhibits were well displayed and informative. There is a game you can play that teaches you about the art and artifacts that my daughter really enjoyed. Will be back when the featured exhibit changes.

I was astonished by the diversity and quality of the collection, especially in a small town in oklahoma. The museum is quite small, but they have rotating exhibits, so something new can always be on display. The most interesting exhibit to me was the sarcophagi from Egypt, which in itself was amazing that it was privately collected.

Truly a hidden gem! Worth checking out if you are in the Shawnee area!

Great place to see real mummies and daddys!

It was interesting. This was my first time there & I plan on going back next week to see the new exhibits they are putting out.

Great museum. During June, July and August admission is free. They have mummies on display, very fascinating.

Amazing displays of treasures and art. I could spend hours admiring all that they have on display.

Omg. My daughter and I stumbled on this awesome museum about 29 minutes before closing. You wont believe the variety of content, mummies, Indian artifacts, pottery, Catholic memorabilia., beautiful artwork. Too much to mention judt go there and it is FREE. Unusal items in the gift shop.

Great small museum

The museum was amazing. Just walking around the campus there is nice.

This place is awesome. They have a permanent art Exhibit and are constantly coming up with ideas and events to showcase local artists.

Kids went here on a Boy Scout trip and we werent disappointed. Who doesnt like seeing mummies?

Great place to visit. My son took some after school art classes that were great he really lives them. We will be back for summer classes as well

Awesome Place! Went there to help set up my moms exhibit and was blown away by the art.

For the size of the museum, it is FULL of great pieces both historic and modern. They also have an area for the kids to make their own art and learn something. When my kids and I went, they had prisms there that they could shine light through.

Such an amazing place. Not very big but very interesting. It is free thur August 2018. You guys go check it out

Pleasantly surprised by both the antiquity and modernity of the exhibitions. Will miss the university and, sadly, the museum, as well. Has been a much-needed, arts and humanities contributor locally.

I enjoy this Museum everytime Im here in Oklahoma. Its not a big Museum, but its enjoyable. My favorite part is the Egyptian mummies and artifacts.

This is an excellent museum that Ive loved coming to since being a kid. Remember the mummy very well. The Bouguereau paintings are gorgeous and always keep me coming back.

Was looking for something indoors to bring the kids to and found this gem. The artwork is beautiful, the mummy/ancient artifacts are phenomenal. Will be back!!
