Cant wait to come back! My wife and I played the Highlands course on our first day of a short golf-cation (9/7) and it was the perfect course to start a great week! The first few holes are links style and we learned a bit about course management, haha. The whole course is maintained extremely well and you will have a very nice pace of play. The drive around the property, through the woods and up and down the hills is a lot of fun between holes. We cant wait to come back for a long weekend of golf.
Solid Track. Both courses are challenging and conditions are typically above average. Can be crowded at times.
This is by far the worst run golf course in the country. Showed up at 1230 for our 130 tee time. Hit the range and asked about where we pick up carts. We were told that there were no carts right now but there would be when our tee time comes around. We finish at the range with 15 minutes to spare and check. We were then told it would be 30-60 minutes before we could tee off because there were no carts. 2 o’clock rolls around and still no carts. We were then informed that players that morning are able to replay the course and keep their carts. So 15-20 people were standing around waiting for carts while 12 carts of people stood by to wait for their tee times after the cart-less people’s tee times came and went. The manager of this course should be fired and be sent back to elementary school to learn why reply players should have to give up their carts. When you’re at Dollywood and you ride a roller coaster and want to ride again when there’s A line do you get to stay on the coaster? Of course not. You get off then get back in line. If you have even an ounce of common sense you can run this course better. Take my advice and visit a different course to save you the headache.
Beautiful views. Course in good shape overall, but a few greens had bare spots around the edges and greens were a bit chewed up. Fairways were good.
A buddy of mine booked this course for us to play today, Sunday, August 23rd just a two-some. The old timer behind the desk charged me $69!!!!!!! He did so with a smirk too!! I wouldve gotten a discount, something like 40-45 bucks for the round if I supposedly live in Knox or Sevier county, but not Grainger? Who comes up with these rules? And, to beat all, my buddy was charged an EXTRA 15 bucks because his fiance rode with him!!! Just rediculous. City of Sevierville you should be ashamed. Its a fairly nice course, BUT NOT worth 69 dollars!!! I wont ever be back, and I will actively discourage anyone I know or come in contact with to STAY AWAY.
If you enjoy vacation golf, this is a must play. I played the Hill Course 3 times. It was wet during a couple rounds but still extremely beautiful, well groomed, and challenging. Phenomenal golf range, putting green, and restaurant. The Steak Quesadilla was one of the best I have ever eaten. Enjoy!
Nice course. Beautiful greens, love the driving range. Very friendly staff, I cant wait to go back again
Beautifully kept, friendly staff, had a blast, just wish I could hit one straight.
Great course, good greens and fairways.Only problem I had, no score card available. Would play again.
Played on a Friday morning. Rate $69 no frills just green fee and GPSless cart. First issue, there was no notice that the greens had been punched when tee times were made. Second issue, starter allowed consecutive twosomes and singles out behind us which makes for a day of having shots hit on your heels. Third issue, we had maintenance on every green from the 8th hole. The workers would leave the machinery on the edge of the green sometimes the front edge. Their carts would be in play around the edges of the greens. When I play a course that charges “resort” type fees on the weekend I don’t want to see punched greens and maintenance all over the course. VERY disappointing to say the least. Not likely to recommend or return.
Beautiful location except for the constant noise from the helicopters overhead. Green fees (Twilight, $45 includes cart) are reasonable.
Played the front 9 of the highland coarse. The coarse was in great shape. Unfortunately they started prepping the greens for fall and they were a bit ruff.
The course was very nice. However, the people were very rude on the course. Our tee time was 8:00 we had a beginner player with us and it took a couple swings the first couple holes to get going. We were finishing hole 3 at 8:46. We were complained on saying we had taken 30 minutes per hole. Obviously not true. If you are a Tiger Woods kinda golfer come play. Otherwise spend your 70 dollars yo play somewhere else and enjoy a beer.
It was a Great day to raise funds for the Boys and Girls club of Sevier county!
This a 5 star golf course.
Friendly staff. Great and challenging course. We are looking forward to playing again tomorrow.
Nice course busy and tad pricey
Its a great wide open coarse with rolling hills and many obstacles, but very pretty and challenging, a little pricey but worth it.
This place was awesome the workers was very nice to you an explain everything to you
Great course. Greens are very true and roll great
Nice course but not worth $70 on a weekday.
Beautiful course and the staff is wonderful.
Played both courses today. It was a Tuesday in May and pace of play was great. Staff friendly, and a great practice facility, with a grass range and great short game area. Loved both tracks. I would have given them 5 stars but I play a lot of great courses so it takes something like Pasatiempo to get a 5 from me. The Highlands course is shorter and has more elevation changes as it plays up into the hills more (first 5 holes in the flats before you head into the hills) but even the River Course has 4 holes that play up into the hills. Overall the river course has more of a Links feel. At this moment (5/18/18) the Highlands course is in better shape as the the River greens have not fully recovered from a recent punching but I really enjoyed both. If you want an opportunity to bomb the ball, play the River. If you like a shorter “shotmakers” course, play the Highlands. If you have time, play both!
Great course! Price is better than other courses in the Pigeon Forge area! I make sure to visit this course every time I go to the Pigeon Forge area!
Great course and wonderful friendly staff. Played there for years.
I played both of their courses and was very pleased with layout and course conditions. Challenging course where good shots are rewarded. I didnt hit a lot of those, but had a great time. Highly recommended.
This is without a doubt the best winter time golf course that I have played in Tennessee or North Carolina! I am looking forward to playing here during the summer!! Friendly staff and impeccably amenities!!
Great course for the price. Challenging but not overly difficult. I played the Highlands course but the holes of the Lakes course looked great as well. Everything was very well maintained and I had a great time.
The best course you could play at period. Their fairways are outstanding and their practice areas are top of the line. The clubhouse has a great selection of clubs if you’re looking to buy some. The green fees were not bad. The highlands course was challenging but beautiful.
Couldnt beat the courses for the price. My buddy and I played both 18s. I preferred the Highland course, he liked the River. Both are very challenging! It was a bit of a drive for us from Knoxville but we both felt like it was worth the drive. The staff in the Pro Shop were awesome! I would certainly play either course again.
Nice golf course
Highlands course was in fantastic shape. My first time here, and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
The gentleman running the window where you buy a bucket of balls is awesome! Beautiful course greens, well kept practice putting/chipping greens. Affordable!!
Very well maintained course. Excellent condition. Fun and challenging
Amazing course! Fairways and greens were spot on and the back 9 of the Highlands is beautiful! I cant say enough about how friendly the staff was! Complete opposite experience than we had playing at Gatlinburg Golf course eariler today. We will never return to that course (way over priced and the greens were like a goat track and the staff was rude). This course is far superior in every way!! Best course to play if you want a real course in this area for sure!!!
Course is always in great shape. The rough was very playable, and has some signature holes that are fun.
Well kept course. 2 challenging courses. Friendly staff that is always helpful. I play here often.
This course is the definition of overpriced.
Excellent courses played both. Greens were super fast.
Beautiful course! Friendly staff. Cant wait to play here again
Quality public course
This golf course is great. You have the River course wide open fairways and lightning fast greens and 4 great holes across the street. These 4 are my favorite. 3 great par 4s. One gains a lot in elevation and the a great par 3 that drops down lots of fun. Also the Highlands course th as t is a lot of fun
We come down here every year. This is a guaranteed stop for us. Course is in great condition.
Beautiful course nice people
Sevierville is a great golf course however they have decided to up the rates on east Tennessee residents. With all the rain in our area lately the River course was like a swamp. Will be playing other courses in our area for the rest of the season. Considering the conditions of the course it is not worth your money at this time.
Golf Course in great shape. The Hilands Course is the shorter of the two, but offers some challenges. The River course is longer and will make you work for pars and birdies.
Great golf course and facilities. One of the best courses in the area by far.
This place is amazing! Absolutely must try if staying in Gatlinburg area. Aside from greens having been aerated the day before, the course was beautiful and well maintained. Tee boxes clean and well cut. Fairways well maintained. Definitely challenging at times but very possible to shoot some low scores.I can imagine once the greens shape up, the place is amazingRange is in great shape. Would recommend yardages for guidance.Above all, the service was top notch. Every single person was on their A game. Our starter have us the whole run down of what to expect and was super friendly and polite. Lauren, the cart girl, was friendly and nice to to chat with us for a few. The marshalls were so cool and give tips. Clubhouse guys were friendly and awesome. Overall to notch club experience.
Great place to pratice and play. Two beautiful courses. Golfers paradise!!!
Good course
Long and cast greens.
Came here with my special needs clients. These people were very friendly and helpful. My guys enjoyed hitting the golf balls.
Two 18 hole course very nice
Staff is good. Food is good and decently priced.
Fun & challenging courses. Beverage carts are a nice amenity, Ranger guy was rude to me for no reason really
Great track! Both courses are well worth it!
My husband loves this golf course every time we come down he will go play you definitely get your money worth on the course will be back soon
Great course
Great courses, friendly staff. Restaurant is good too!
Great course and staff. Next year we are looking to stay on site and play here multiple times.
Well maintained 36 holes. Smooth, fast greens. Can be challenging for the average golfer. Pace of play can be slow at times due to players looking for balls in deep Bermuda grass rough. Doesnt drain well so may be cart path only for days after a long rain.
Great course
Grate place well maintaned played the river side very nice
Driving range was great! Husband had had shoulder replacements, didnt know if he could even hit the ball. Everyone was kind & friendly! Great place!
Very confusing layout and not well kept greens. They have a nice merchandise store section though
River course is well maintained and a good challenge. Id like to play it again when its not cart path only.
Very well kept golf course and interesting. I like the River course except the 4 holes across the street. Friendly people and the restaurant had good food.
Great staff, beautiful and well maintained golf course. However there is a drainage problem with this course. If there is a sprinkle of rain they make stay on the cart path. Thats annoying! It can sometimes be a long walk to you ball when its cart path only. If you like to walk and not ride this is not the course for you. Green to next tee box can be a 1/4 of a mile or further. This is a great and challenging course. I am local and play there frequently and there driving range, chipping and putting greens are first class
Awesome time wonderful ppl
A bit difficult but fun. Staff was great. I lost an anniversary ring and they helped scour the course until we found it.
Two championship golf courses, both in great condition, truly liked playing both. Both are operated in a very professional way. Greens plush and fast, fairways great. Great golfing experience, will play again soon.
We played the River course. It is a nice fun layout. I think signage could be a little better.I would definitely play it again.
Very nice . Great service
Ready for Golfing. Visiting. At Wyndham.
Nice golf nice very nice people
River course is nice and can be challenging. Water on most holes but not too bad. Overall, had a great time. Just crazy muggy at the beginning on June.
Friendly staff, beautiful course. We played Highlands. Definitely will go back. Gave it a four as pace of play was a little slow.
Me and my son-in-law played there 11-1-15, had a great time, everybody the staff was great, had a great time. Greens were very fast. We enjoyed it very much. We had a great time with the starter, and ranger. If you play golf, you will enjoy this course. We played the Highlands course.
Great. I had a hole in one on 13.
Cart path only when the course was dry. Makes for a long tiring day, and frustrates you when you know it wasnt necessary
Excellent courses (played both), liked the highlands better. well maintained, friendly staff, fairly priced. highly recommend.
Love this local golf course. They are very nice and easy to deal with. Very accommodating when taking my junior golfers up for a practice round. Well groomed holes.
Great track and super friendly staff. Course was wet, but hey its spring. Never played bent grass greens before. Unique experience.
Amazing course but needs to cut rough for faster play, not fun missing fairway by 6 feet and lose ball ! Faster play equals more money
My son & I played the Rivers course & would only give nothing but praise to the friendly staff and maintenance crew. The course is in great shape, the fairways are cut nicely and very tight and the greens are rolling very true!
Two courses to choose from. Challenging layout. Well managed.
Its a great thing that tgey do for the local youth by hosting the drive chip and putt contest every year. Its totally free for children 15 and under. The course is well laid out and a Very challenging course
Not a good lay out at all, alot of blind shots and pin placements are ridiculous... Other than that good luck.....
Great track! Cant wait to play it again. Would love to live there.
