A delightful look back in a time. Many of the items may be purchased. Karen was friendly and very knowledgeable. They also offer a small Farmers Market but unfortunately their produce was not delivered today. Will catch it the next time we go . You can order some food and drinks here as well.
Historic old building with a history of ghosts. Good selection of dinner choices 7 days a week. Only open for dinner. Most all antiques that fill the restaurant are for sale. Take a tour of the ball room and ask to see the old post office and drug store that has more antiques for sale. Full bar on site and everyone is very friendly.
A good place to pull over and answer that text message you just got. Used to be a good source of prime rib too. Now just a relic of the good old days.
While theyre not open for sit down service you can purchase vegetables and other goodies from them. Just call their main number for more information. They are available 24/7 as they live in the restaurant. The greens tend to taste a bit smokey but you can easily wash off the residue before consuming.
Nice ode to the past. The Gibson dining room is beautiful and cozy. You won’t see this anywhere else in Sedona. Food is good and servings are large. Service is friendly. Salmon was tasty and veggies very crisp. Roast was rare but that’s how they serve it. Shrimp cocktail large and fresh. Worth a visit. Don’t miss the table for spirts that may want a meal too :)
We stumbled across this place randomly on a Sunday night. Great place with lots of historic values. Service was amazing (thanks Steve!) wish the food was half as good as the ghost stories.
Oh my goodness not only is this a wonderful place to look at with all the history photos on the walls and all the little knick knacks around to see but the staff is very friendly and fun to be around and the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I didnt take a photo of the desserts but the slices of cake are huge and so moist they sell out fast. This is absolutely a must place to eat if you are in Sedona. Reservations are a must. Wednesday is there slowest day so you can get a reservation easy and it wont be crowded.
The over priced food is an attempt to persuade you visually that the restaurant is worth it. Unfortunately, the outrageous prices don’t come any where near the sub par Quality food you end up with. I’ve had better meals at fast food chains.Chicken was undercooked and everything else was.... mediocre at best.I don’t recommend and will definitely not return.Service was great however!
Wonderful atmosphere with white tablecloths, candlelight, warmth of tastefully displayed interesting relics.Host and server made us feel comfortable right away. Pleasant evening indeed.
Went there for a drink and of course to visit the only haunted place in Sedona. Bartender was very sweet, said she hadnt been working there long, but hadnt personally seen anything. While we were sitting there sipping drinks looking around the lights flickered ever so lightly but continuously. Then they very noticeably started almost flashing but never going completely out and stopped. The bartender admitted shed never seen them act like this. They then brightened..... like super bright, so bright the bartender went to turn them down. Thinking i could film the light show, I laid my phone down on the bar in selfie mode ready to film when they flickered. Instead, my phone just started taking pictures at random... nothing touching it. My moms phone continously closed its program to the main screen. Absolutely hilarious.... we had a blast.
Both the server and hostess were very nice. I feel the food quality didnt really represent the price, I missed the prime rib day(s) though and Ive heard thats their specialty. Rich with history and a old timey theme.
We had an awesome waitress named Jane. The place is very historic. Our meal was absolutely delicious. The owner then showed us around after dinner. We got to see the Old Post Office and other rooms of the restaurant including the old dancehall. We were treated like family
Even having lived in Sedona for a few years, I had never heard of this place. Im so glad we got to try this. After hearing about it on the Travel Channel, we decided to try it. Robert, our bartender and waiter, was great and makes a mean Cosmo and delicious dinner salad.I was impressed with the filet, and the service all the way around was top notch. The building itself is old, and very cool. The outside is deceiving! The interior is very cool, and the bar is ornate and interesting. Definitely worth checking out!
Relics currently enjoys a four star rating, and to me, that seems downright criminal. We came in on a Friday night, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Perhaps we should have taken that as a sign to leave, but the inside looked nice with a well done 1920s theme. We were in Sedona to explore, so we decided to stay. The hostess was a bit awkward, simply smiling at us as though waiting for us to state our intentions. We did, and a waitress came to seat us in a side room. Though she was nice, we got some weird vibes from her. In retrospect, I think she knew the restaurant was a sham, but she had to do her job anyway. We looked through the menu, and I settled on the ribeye steak. My other half decided to try the scallop meal, and when the food finally arrived, she received 3 scallops, a handful of vegetables, and a small, flattened ice cream scoop full of mashed potatoes. If her plate was a painting, it would have been a few tiny bits of color on a very large, very empty canvas. For what she received, it was insanely expensive, and she told me her food was nothing special. She received so little, we had to find a real meal for her after we left.My steak did not come cooked medium as I had asked, and I am not convinced it was as large as they advertised. They did ask if the steak was acceptable, but this was another oddity. The waitress asked everyone who ordered meat to cut it in front of her and gauge it--like she did not trust the cook. The one other table of diners in our room did have their steak sent back, and if I were not so hungry, I would have done the same. The thin, overcooked steak was not rescued by outstanding flavor. It was remarkably average--far below what I would cook at home, even.At a restaurant that charged less, these problems would not have been fatal. Relics would be a solid, average 3 stars, were we not charged around $140 (including the tip) to feed 2 adults and 1 child. Alas, prices influence expectations, and what Relics charges leads to extreme disappointment. It is a shame, really, because the waiting staff seemed helpful, and the decor was great. If the pricing more realistically matched the food quality and quantity, I might even recommend it just to experience the unique environment. As it is, I feel it is simply a waste of money.
As others have noted, there is nothing special about the food. If you are a believer in the supernatural, or want a bit of history while in Sedona, this may be the place for you. If you are looking for good food, look elsewhere.
A little touristy but not so much that locals stay away, not at all. I prefer to sit out on the patio because our weather here is so beautiful and the inside is a little too much for me. Late nights after drinking is nice in the Roadhouse. Good spot and solid for steaks, of course.
I had a very sad experience at Relics Restaurant on Dec 25, Christmas day.We made a 6:30 pm reservation a week in advance. That evening, at 5:20 pm, I called Relics and spoke to an employee and asked him if we could come earlier at 5:45 pm instead. He said that it was fine, he approved it and I just needed to tell Michael (I think the host) that he approved and we would be seated. We arrived at 5:40 pm, spoke to Michael, who told us sternly that it would be a wait as they were really backed up. We waited patiently for 30 mins and went back to speak to him at 6:15 pm. He said that it would be another hour wait (so a 7:15 pm seating for our revised 5:45 pm reservation), and that the person who I had spoken to (who by the way, walked past as we were speaking and vouched that he had given me approval to come earlier) had no right to change the time.I am pregnant and coupled with the fact that it was Christmas day which I felt was ruined, started crying. (Im not usually one who cries often). Michael had no empathy and upon knowing I was pregnant and starving, said: Im not helping, am I? Why dont you tell me if you want to wait or leave. My husband came to console me and upon conferring, knowing that it would be another long wait for food and given how hungry I was, we went to another restaurant that was willing to take us at our hotel. This is by far the most traumatic restaurant experience Ive had, and I feel sad that Relics didnt honor what their employee had promised us and demonstrated no empathy for our situation. They did not seem to care that they were ruining many peoples Christmas day (one couple who had been waiting ahead of us actually left before their table was ready as they had been waiting too long, another familys son groaned that he was starving and they were up for a long wait. I had read so-so things about the food itself but the service (or lack thereof) left a lot to be desired.
Very unique establishment, and the weekday staff, experienced and superb, this is not a place for a quick bit but rather a good multi-course meal and best when you plan to enjoy each moment.
Went in there on a family trip to Sedona, and was delighted by the charm, the food and drink, and how wonderful the service was. Steve was our waiter and he worked his behind off to make sure we had a good time. Really pleasant, and the food was so good!!
We had a fine meal here on a Thursday evening. Prime rib was delicious. Wife had the cod, portion was generous and fresh. Take some time to walk around, they have multiple dining rooms filled with artifacts and antiques. Lots of local history is on display.
Had the pleasure of dining here Friday. It was absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Perfect scallops, amazing garlic mash, delicious dessert. Loved my French 75 cocktail & hubby loved the scotch whiskey. Cant wait to come back!! FAVORITE restaurant in Sedona, by far! Thank you for providing the perfect venue for a much needed date night & mini vacation!!
Lots of History . They will take you on a tour. Lit of antiques you can purchase. Excellent evening. Very attentive service.
Great food, freshly smoked meats and a great bar
What a GEM! Highly recommend this quaint, romantic restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was so unique and special. So refreshing to find a sweet spot like this one amongst all the chain, and trendy places I seem to find a s a traveler. This will be my special spot anytime I find myself in Sedona.
Made a reservation for Christmas night. Arrived to a line out the door. When we finally got to the podium, we were put in cue with walk-ins. Found a chair away from the door at the bar. Served a glass of wine after 45 mins. Terrible wine. Waitress said if we left, it never happened. Luckily, we are locals and had food in the freezer. What a blue Christmas.
Pricey food. I had the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were not fully cooked. Very little garlic sauce. Wanted prime rib, but they only served medium rare and nothing else. No beer on tap what so ever. Limited menu. The service was good. This restaurant is a historical landmark.
Came from out of town, looking for a above average place for dinner, Prime Rib sounded good. Loved the atmosphere when we walked in, enjoyed hearing the history of the place, the ghost story etc. DIDNT like the busboy checking out my daughter or the manager TELL me how to order my Prime Rib. In the end it was yes an above average place for dinner. But it was good food overall
The service was great with good food. They were out of prime rib, but I will definitely return the next time Im in Sedona to try it out.My server, Jane (not exactly sure of her name but it started with a J) genuinely cared about my dinner and my experience at the restaurant. You dont get that kind of care anymore and I appreciated her for that.
Absolutely wonderful.... from the service to the food. Top notch steak with delicious fish. One of the oldest buildings in sedona dating back to very early 1900 is rich in history. also haunted!!! very much enjoyed the evening
Great place, alot of history to take in. Great staff!!
Great cocktails. Friendly staff. Antiques and haunted atmosphere were fun. Food was good but rather pricey. Pretty small portions.
We had steaks that were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Irish mashed potatoes we also perfectly seasoned. We didnt need to cover them with gravy. Mixed veggies were just right. And the dessert. Carrot cake - huge slice. Server, Jane was fun, efficient and always right on time!
Enjoyed the establishments history and beauty. Burgers and fries were overcooked and tasteless...and expensive.
Great food staff was friendly! Stumbled across it, was a pleasant place
I took my girlfriend to this establishment for her birthday, while the ribeye was really good, the potatoes were luke warm, and the whiskey was watered down from sitting so long at the bar.My biggest complaint was the service, our waiter only came to the table to get our drink order and drop off the food. We saw the waitress from the next table over more than our own.
My wife had a very good filet Mignon, my sirloin was grisly and under cooked. The food took a very long time. The waitress said they were short handed. Very expensive, sorry I would not recommend this restaurant.
We had our 20th anniversary dinner and the service was great. Loved the history of the building and all the antiques.
Ill be honest, we seen this restaurant on a TV show that it was haunted, so we decided to pay it a visit, so glad we did! The atmosphere for the entire restaurant is so beautiful, filled with antiques, they are also for sale & you can call to take a tour before the business opens. Our chef was so nice & went out of his way to make me an excellent gravy that was not on the menu for my potatoes. The food was excellent, could not eat it all & took home my yummy meal. My daughter and husband got dessert to take home & they absolutely loved it. The owner is super nice & our waitress was Jane, she has a personality that lights up the room, we just loved her. We will definitely be back the next time we head out to Sedona!
Excellent food with good service
This is the first time we came to Sedona, this restaurant. Yes, the hostess said they were famous (claimed!!??) for their Meat. The menu indicated best meat! Allas, the rib eye meat was (like) from an old cow, tough, course and not fresh! The customer experience was the worst:1). was never served with dinner rolls after food orders. We had to ask the hostess to get any. The ultimate of all, we were given 3 rolls, even we had a party of 4!!2). we were never told by the waiter (Chris) at the time of food ordering, the restaurant would charge extra ($5/each plate) when we share a plate!3). the waiter never came back to ask if everything was fine or needed anything else. He only came back after we finished the dinner. What a lousy customet experience!Overall, strongly suggest: do not come to this restaurant, Relics Restaurant!
An absolute must when visiting Sedona. While on a little summer getaway with friends, we stumbled on to Relics just because it was the first place we saw after a full day of off roading. We were definitely treated to a very cool surprise! The history, decor, food, and service were all independently awesome, but the combination of everything made it quite the unique and memorable experience.
We had a great time. The bartender told stories of everything about the bar and how it became. The hostess checked on us often and had fest conversation. Our server was very kind and very sweet. She offered us dessert for my friends birthday which we declined but then brought out a martini glass of whip cream. I would recommend everyone to experience. Thank you again for the great experience .
Lovely food, service and surroundings!
We came here for drinks last year and had a great experience and liked the old timey feel of the place, so this year we came back with our whole family (a group of 8). The food was extremely expensive and most of us got some version of pasta. For over $20 I received about 5 prepackaged Ravioli that tasted terrible. They advertise the prime rib, which was not available the night we went, so maybe that is good, but across the board we all thought it was a terrible meal. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is fun and kitchy with the haunted vibe, but I would never eat here again.
Super cool old bar with lots of history. The bar tender gave us a tour of the place! Good drinks too!
Good food, good service.
Saw this place on dead files tv show. If it is still haunted I would definately visit!!! Season 7 episode 14
The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. All i can say is that our experience at the Relics was outstanding. This placce is totally charming. We Will return. Thanks Charlie!N.
The service was really bad. I had to ask our server multiple times to bring several items we had ordered that she missed. We were there early, and the restaurant was nearly empty, so it wasnt because they were busy. Every step was very, very slow, including getting the check paid.Regarding the food, I was informed that they were out of the two entrees I really wanted to order (again early in the evening and nearly empty), so I had to settle for tortellini that tasted like it came from the grocery store freezer section. They also overcooked our two steaks (ordered medium and medium rare; both came out medium well). Otherwise, the food was OK, but it wasnt worth what it cost. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend Relics to anyone.
Went to a party here for Halloween. It was super fun. Would do it again.
Good steak! And great old building with a neat history.
Filet mignon was tender with healthy portion of potatoes.
Restaurant with a lot of history. And haunted.Relics refers to the antiques throughout the restaurant.A couple movie scenes were shot in the bar too.
First time visit to Relics on a recommendation . When we walked in there were very few patrons, that should have been our first clue since it was Saturday night. Slowest service ever! It is known for prime rib & steak. My husband ordered the prime rib, expensive & just fair. I decided to try something different & ordered cod. Worst cod ever! I could not even cut it with a steak knife! I sent it back, everyone in our party was also done eating, so I ordered the shrimp cocktail, it was good. I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday & they brought a small bowl of whip cream with a candle, so cheap. We will never go there again, very weird vibe, no vortex in this place.
Great food, friendly staff
Had to return the prime rib! It was as hard as a rock... they tried telling me it was end peices and was supposed to be hard. NO prime rib is supposed to be hard! And thats their staple! Servive was less than adequate, it was super slow when we went and we asked the waiter about the history of the building .. he seemed bothered and brought us a paper that had the history. Building was very cool! But for the price, service, and food .... stay away.
Came in and were quickly greeted - but overly warmly...we asked if we could go straight to the bar for a drink, hostess acted like we just landed from Mars...so qe go to the bar...she followed us into the bar then continued the overly intrusive welcome wanting to tell us all about the history of the bar etc etc ...we just wanted a drink...hostess left finally and we waited for the bartender for 5 minutes...all at once the door open and a woman ran in grabbed something or other and said, Ill be back in a minute, I have to change the credit card machine tape, and disappeared in the space of 4 seconds...we were sort of stunned with the brevity of the interaction but took her for her word, which as it turned out, was not a wise decision... we continued our wait for the elusive drink which never came...happy ending! We went down the street to The Golden Goose ...see review for Golden Goose Sedona Arizona
Hostess: We are famous for our prime rib.Waitress: We are out of prime rib.German woman walking to exit: I have to tell you the food here is not very good.(This is when my anxiety started to kick in.)Me: Is the inside of ravioli supposed to be cold?Other notes: The restaurant was nearly empty. The prices were higher than the overall presentation would have suggested. Our waitress was very sweet and kind. The historic aspects of the building were interesting. The solution to this restaurants problems may be as simple as new management.
So so good service
Historical building unfortunately the restroom must have a sewer problem it stunk AND there were very few customers on a Friday night at 6pm.The prime rib was better than Las Vegas cheap deals. However, the after dinbed coffee must have been from the morning. $3.00 and no refills. Not coming back.
Cute, cozy restaurant. Food was very good and the atmosphere is excellent. The only negative is that the service was a bit slow. Prime rib was good, could.have been a bit more rare but the flavor was great. Carrot cake for dessert was one of the best Ive had.
They hosted an after party for my sisters wedding on September 26th and they did a phenomenal job! Friendly and Awesome service! I cant say enough about how great they were. They even helped with a backup cab company for the grooms family when their cab failed to show up.Amazing people! Thanks to you both!
Came for a few drinks and had a great time! The service is great and the staff is very kind. Great history and a awesome building! Also had the chocolate cake and it was wonderfully delicious!
Charlie was our server, amazing service, more amazing food, if you have the chance to take the tour with Jeff I would highly recommend it, all around great experience
Awesome place for our memorial for a dear coworker. Very accommodating. Very nice staff.
There is NO place in uptown tourist Sedona that comes close to matching the ambiance, history, and cuisine of Relics. If you do Sedona without experiencing Relics, you havent done Sedona. Seriously. Ask us if you have any questions. A Sedona must.
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant is very nice looking but the wine glasses had lipstick stains. The food was not fresh and the menu consisted of frozen foods that were fried or reheated. The steak was the only thing that was okay but the baked potato was cold and hard. Waitress forgot to charge us for appetizers and rhem came up to us as we were leaving to collect for the apps.
The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. It was fun to learn a little bit about the history of the restaurant while we were there. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Had our wedding here and I dont regret it! It was super convenient to go from ceremony to reception in one location. Not to mention they are fairly priced. Thanks for everything!
Food was great service great great history
What an amazing place. Great decor and very friendly service. Amazing prime rib. The fact that the place is supposed to be haunted takes nothing away from a very nice dining experience
Place was highly recommended by Southwest Inn receptionist. At about 8:30PM we crossed the road (truly not recommendable), entered the establishment. Elderly female totally ignored us, then male server just said “ just a moment “.No hello, no kindly “have a seat st the bar and Iwill be with you “.Needless to say we walked out. I immediately told two other people not to try this place for extreme bad customer service.
Food was delicious, wait staff was very friendly. Relics has an amazing atmosphere.
Made it there kinda late because most restaurants close at 8 in Sedona. Old man was super friendly that sat us and the prime rib was really good. Neat nic nacks all over and cool history with the bar and local ghosts.
Excellent service and really eclectic atmosphere. Lots of old Sedona history and antiques, hence the name, Relics.
So i went in there, And my kids start crying who were 8 and 6 and my wife got this horrifying feeling... I started feeling sick and i walking in the dining room and... i see all these still dead spiritual bodies, eyeless, and there were moving objects...i left immediately!! Please dont go here for your kids sake. Please dont go if you a sensitive to the dead. My kids and wife have been sick for a month and i was sick for 2 and a half weeks. Great waiters(felt bad for them...) good menu, nice restaurant but me and my family have never experienced such a jolt in our life... we have all had nightmares since the night we ate there. i have never experienced anything spiritual since here. Our family has experienced, anxiety, pain, depression and mood swings since we walked out it has had a immediate effect on my family and my 8 year old son is recovering from a therapist... i wrote this because i dont want any family to experienced what we have
Food was excellent, the service (Jane) was even better. We went there on our 7000 mile road trip and this place tops Mount Rushmore (by far) in our collective memory. We would definitely go back.Greetings from Sweden.
Fine food. Excellent service. My wife and I had dinner there wirh another couple at their suggestion.
Good food, great service. We did a family thing and went in there with 2 young kids and 2 babys.
How this could have anything but 5 stars is beyond me. Very fairly priced and fantastic food. We are from Portland living in the valley and have been disappointed by a lot of the Arizona restaurants compared to home. This made up for it and was absolutely delicious. We had soup, mussels, and prime rib. All the surrounding tables were complimenting the meal. We will be going here anytime we are in Sedona .
I wish I could leave a better review... But Ive been to the bar area twice and both times the service was practically nonexistent. Im a pretty reasonable customer, relaxed, patient and generous... But both of these experiences caused my blood pressure to raise.
We started out on a not so great note. One of the bussers brought water and mine was spilled on my phone and my lap. She said oops and hurried off. The waitress was apologetic and attentive. Unfortunately there was a tour bus before us and they were out of quite a bit. Our food came and most was fantastic. My father in laws was certainly overcooked but everything else was phenomenal. We will definitely give it another try next time we are up there!
We had our wedding reception here for 32 people Aug. 1, 2015. Everything was just perfect. The dinner was hot and delicious, everyone had a great meal, the service was great, drinks were great. The room was beautiful. Sedona fine art of flowers did the flowers, the lady servers, sorry I cant remember your names were so kind and sweet to all our guests. Bartender was a hoot. Great place to have a small wedding dinner. Sorry it took me so long to get this to you. Living the Dream.
Very good service and dessert was yummy!
This place was very cool. Great food and service
Visiting Sedona and heard great things about Relic. Sure enough we had Prime Rib and it was the most delicious ever. Service and atmosphere was very pleasant. Highly recommend! Thank you Sedona!
They promote their business by putting unwanted paper flyers on peoples cars. This is so not responsible, and a big annoyance to locals and tourists. I leave in Sedona, but will not dine in this place or recommend to anyone.
Good salad, very good trout (almondine), friendly service, well paced meal, great ice cream dessert. Worthy of returning.
Delicious meal, had the sirloin steak, veggies and mashed potatoes. Wonderful service and ambiance. Highly recommended
Excellent food and wait staff. Awesome atmosphere if you are into the nostalgic old west with lots of old western props and photos rich in history. Bar tending staff was very friendly, informative and knowledgeable about all of the collected pieces they possess. A must stop if youre in the Sedona area.
We had dinner their the other night for my husbands birthday, and the food was phenomenal! I loved everything about this place. The waiter was very good and knew a lot about the food. Id definitely go back!
Some will say, a salad is a salad, but the arugala and wild greens with the best dressing I have ever had is the best salad I have ever had! Service is great and after dinner you can dance in another room. Wonderful!
Delicious food and very attentive service. Be sure to try the Prime Rib
This place is very different, food is delicious antiques are cool. I could just sit in back courtyard all night.
Awesome food and awesome service!!!! Highly Recommend!
