Everyone there is nice and the the life guard there is a big help in trying to teach me how to swim properly, shes a nice person

Everything you’ve been looking for! Swimming, gymnastics, yoga, weightlifting, spin, weight loss programs, kids soccer, football, swim, gymnastics, day camp, after school programs. Babysitting for family members while you’re working out! Even a massage therapist!!! Sebring is awesome!

Great place to work out, you get there before 2 there is barely anybody there but got to go there during the week day its not so crowded because there no kids but when you go work out on the weekends there busy and after 3pm there busy. Though using the silver sneakers program has a great advantage with no pressure, a relaxing atmosphere and a environment.

A great facility friendly staff decent equipment

We went to use the pool for the day with the family. The staff was amazing, all so kind and helpful. As we walked into the pool area the lifeguard approached us and asked if any of the kids needed a swimming assistant. All of the facilities were clean. The lifeguards were trying to keep the pool clean of the love bugs when then pool wasnt too busy. All of our experience was wonderful and we will be coming back. Just check the weather before going, they are very serious about the storms.

When Dave Scheck managed this place we donated to every single project to include being the sole sponsor for the Bo Alvarez foundation. We were 2+ hours away and did more than the local businesses and still supported the YMCA. Michelle Rice and I were shocked at how this womans behavior was towards a program that we worked on. However, since management changed they kept a woman fitness soccer coach that has ALWAYS been rude to our family and talked down to us even at our last visit looking for our sponsor plaques and soccer games. We stopped all sponsorships due to the new management and their behavior. The YMCA is meant to help people and not be a workout session. My favorite part was when the new CEO talking back to me and the woman trainer rolled her eyes. Not what the YMCA stands for...

This place is very friendly! They have lots of options such as the exercise room, pool, basketball court, dance room, and even gymnastic. Love that they include everyone during the holidays and have parties for the kids. Know most of the people out there!

I hosted my daughters birthday party there and it was amazing. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The pools, splash pad, and basketball court was a big hit for the children. I will definitely be using this venue again for parties!!!

Clean facility and pool

As a previous lifeguard of a YMCA in MN, I was extremely disappointed when I decided to put my daughter in swim lessons at this YMCA. My daughter who was 3 was placed in a class with 3-9 year olds. I was skeptical about that from the beginning, because there is a huge developmental difference within that age range. Then, the first thing the instructor did with my daughter was took her off the wall and dunked her under... this was not ok given that my daughter had just met the instructor, she was a complete stranger, and there was no trust established. When I called to ask about it to the manager, I was told that is how the program is ran and my daughter would get used to it. My 3 year old ( who had never been in lessons before) was also expected to just put her face in the water and do what they asked instead of them showing her how to do it step by step. I made my daughter finish out her lessons, but she hated going there after that. I will say that Trevor was the only guard she loved and he knew how to connect with the children very well.

I am a disabled Vietnam veteran not by choice I was told a year ago that we will be accepted for free due to my disability I accepted it and I didnt roll I also have used the physical therapy facility working with the VA who has authorize it 3 years ago my hip was replaced and working out at the gym and in the swimming pool has helped my condition a little bit more better I have seen families birthdays and Gatherings at this YMCA that have done a lot for the community I would highly recommend it to everybody please join and support does swimming classes for our lessons preventing drowning classes for the little kids people who dont know how to swim could come there and learn how to swim lots of programs that sheriff department comes also to do their programs fire department also the state department so its a real great place to meet and make new friends they have all kind of different exercise for the Young and the senior citizens Zumba yoga all kinds of good stuff for everybody just come join and help out God bless oh I almost forgot the staff they totally awesome they will work with you by all means

The YMCA in a whole is great. However the Coach, (MS. CHRISSY) that runs the camp for kids is an atrocious individual and the worst low life to ever step foot on the premises; not to mention not someone you should trust around children. She provided chocolate to a child that is allergic, and once the child mentioned that she was allergic she gave her an apple and embarrassed the poor child in front of everyone. She is a bully and should really be removed from the YMCA. Anyone looking for a great gym and wonderful people should come here, but be on the look out for someone who likes to make the lives of little children miserable.

Jonathan Atwell is an employee or was, watch a hard worker... true asset.

They turn the air off an hour before they close so you roast the whole rest of your work out and to make it worse they never have the water filled at the desk and when they do the lemons are so old you can’t even taste them.

Tai chi and Silver Sneakers programs are great

Although the regular gyms and swimming pools are nice for this small little town of ours, I took my 2 sons for a summer camp and they hated it. They said there were VENOMOUS spiders in the changing room (Brown Recluse, they even told me) and not to mention, my older son got into a FIGHT there. What is this, the octagon? My younger son also reported to me that he saw a baby snake in the grass (Cottonmouth). I had to find this one, but he listed it as black and a white/yellow mouth. He asked other fellow campers if it was deadly, and they replied yes. The Cottonmouth is also venomous that can heavily damage and even kill an adult. I am never sending my kids here again.

Our family attends events frequently throughout the year. We have made the YMCA SPOOKTACULAR part of our Halloween tradition, because it hasbeen consistently an awesome family event that the kids love!! We have been going for at least 7 years in row. This YMCA works hard to provide a variety of activities and events for the children of Highlands County all year long.This YMCA offers an amazing SOCCER PROGRAM for children of all ages and level of skill. However, their SWIM LESSONS are not as intense as they should be and their needs to be more focus on teaching the skills children need to learn how to swim proficiently and reduce the risk of injury and drowning. The INFANT SWIM LESSONS are parents being instructed on how to teach your baby to float on their back. There is little or no interaction between infant and instructor.

My step-daughters car was broken into in the parking lot around closing time. The manager refused to cooperate with the police when they asked for the video tape because, they were closed. In a criminal investigation with a 17-year-olds identity at risk, their cooperation and customer service was beyond deplorable.
