I can say this place does it for me. It has a good atmosphere. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.

My Mom was at the Palms for almost a year before passing away on 4/22/2020. She went to Rehab from the hospital first. The Physical Therapists were very sweet with her. From Rehab she went to assisted living with two more hospital stays. She then went to long term care with Hospice. I had a difficult time getting answers while she was there. More often than not I didnt get a call back. Mom had a cell phone but was too Ill to use it, so I couldnt see or talk to her for 6 weeks before she died. Finally, I got a call from Hospice, that they were moving her to their unit so I could spend time with her. She couldnt acknowledge that I was there.I dont know what could have been done differently, but I know that we lost 6 weeks of her life. One of her hearing aids was lost twice. It was supposedly found once. No call back about that. One last thing, I would think the facility would call or send condolences when a resident died. Nope! But Hospice has been very caring. The Nurses on the Hospice unit Rashida, SS, and David, their Chaplain. All are awesome caregivers. They have called several times.Thank you and God bless you VITAS

Most of the staff is caring and and understanding. But the 2% from LPNs to CNAs should go back to school to learn compassion. Also theres nothing to keep your love one moble....it seems its designed to keep the seniors in wheelchairs... but I am working on that.

The worst place to take your love ones. Food is terrible. Some but not all the nurses do not care. It only takes one bad apple to ruin everything. Medicare rates them 2 out 5 stars. Look elsewhere there are better homes in Highlands county.

My mother went here for Rehab, towards the end of her stay they wanted to keep my mother and have me sign my rights off to them, my mother wasnt that bad health wise, but after just a few days her mental status went really low, it was quite worrisome the way her mental health deteriorated so quickly, not the cleanest place in the world, could use better supervision of patients, a few early morning phone calls from mummy only to find out the nursing staff had no idea my mother was up and about trying to leave, even though I was doing all my mothers laundry they gave her someones cloths, I have no idea why.Oh,!, and finally when my mother did get discharged she got to come home with a small gift............Scabies, thanks Palms.Ill keep warning people about this, Florida is not a place you want to come if you are in the need of medical care in general, the local Hospitals are 50/50 at the best of times and the nursing homes are a bit worst then national average.

After visiting several different rehab centers in the area, this is the only one I would recommend. Food is so much better then hospital food. The staff has always been attentive and friendly.

Terrible, dirty, unprofessional, cold uncaring facility that has multiple violations with ACHA. I am filing a complaint about the way you treated the Carpenter family. What you did to Ray when his mother was dying is criminal. If anyone needs help finding the complaints and violations filed with the state regarding this inhumane facility please feel free to email me at [email protected]. By all means, avoid sending anyone you love or care about here.

I have been eating at the Palms for over two years now as I have an older sister who lives there. The food has gone from pretty good consistently to just fair consistently during the time period. The service is consistently poor with a high turnover of wait staff. The portion size just keeps getting smaller and smaller. My sister pays a lot of money to live there and has had an increase in cost each year, but a decrease in service and quality and quantity of food. The menu has not changed in several years according to longtime residents. We are not happy, and maybe that is the reason for the low occupancy rate at this time.

Mom came here for a short rehab. She did ok and left after 3 weeks. She said the food was ok but not the best. The staff was nice. Shuttle service is only mon-fri. Thats crappy, why not every day? Rooms were fine & basic. No organized exercise. Nursing staff just ok.

The Palms of Sebring have probably the very WORST telephone system of any company I have ever needed to talk to.
