My family and I enjoyed our stay very much at the resort! We brought our french bulldog, who was warmly welcomed! The very helpful and kind front desk even upgraded our room from the second floor, to the first so our dog could enjoy the lovely patios! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had dinner at the Blackfins restaurant which was delicious and directly on the water, it was beautiful! We would all highly recommend this resort!
Great food, great place. Relaxed, but a little bit fancy. Inside and outside dining right on the water. Live music. Not very good service this time around, but usually it is top notch. Great place for a laid back lunch or dinner. I highly recommend visiting here!
This is a great resort! The rooms are a bit antiquated but nicely maintained. They have a restaurant and 3 bars. Theres a lot to do including river cruises, swimming, kayaking, biking and a live band every night. Great drink specials. Staff is awesome.
The location is perfect and in walking distance to some good local places. Definitely a relaxing atmosphere.
One of our favorite go tos. The atmosphere is great and the staff is always so helpful and friendly. Lots of fun things to do, but also plenty of space for relaxing. We will return as often as we can.
Beautiful place. I love my food. Everybody is friendly. Its a very good spot to have fun dance drinks and enjoy the beauty of the river and coconut trees. I just thought my self in the Caribbean Islands .
Front desk and other staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean, however it was a little pricey for what was included. Blackfins was closed and we were disappointed with the service at Sandbar - we were told prior that the kitchen closed at 9, but we could linger after. The kitchen actually closed at 8:15pm and we were told we had a 2 hour cap. The beach is not at all a beach to relax on. It is part of the restaurant and you must be seated (again 2 hour cap) to enjoy it. You are given a complimentary hour for kayaking, paddleboarding or biking, however that stopped at 3pm on a Saturday. There was nowhere to just relax with no time limit, except for your own room. All in all, the hotel and restaurant were very expensive for mediocre service and no amenities.
Love the atmosphere. Everyone is so nice and friendly. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.
Had a blast at the Sandbar about a yr ago. Listened to a live 80s band. Great sandy dance floor with a few tiki bars. You truly feel like your in the Caribbean. The bar was busy with several people deep so expect to wait on a drink however the bartenders did a great job managing the crowd and pushing the drinks out. Came back a 2nd time last weekend but due to the coronavirus it was quiet and closing early. Cant wait to go back!!
The resort itself was nice had no complaints with the room or anything like that my only complaint is the restaurant that says its open till either 10 or 11 is not it closes at 8:30 which sucks because I was out fishing all day from 5 a.m. and went home to the hotel took a shower and went to eat and they were closing other than that the resort is great we did not use all of the amenities that were offered but we still had a great time and the maintenance man was nice to helped us out they do have a boat washing station there and you can park your boat on their dock for a dollar a foot per day.
Very nice place to stay! Cute beach themed local hotel in Sebastian and near Vero Beach. Absolutely love the riverside restaurants on property! Make sure to make a reservation for dinner at both restaurants and don’t forget to visit the gift shop.The rooms are clean. We stayed in the 3-story main building. Easy to park, unload and get settled.There is no breakfast so make sure you aren’t relying on any breakfast. There is black coffee available.Great choice for a non-commercialized boutique experience. The rooms have balconies for an enhanced experience.
Who loves waterfront views and sand in your toes? Capt. Hirams Resort is that place in Florida.Its located in a small town called Sebastian, Florida.Plenty of food, drinks, and music on a beautiful day. I thought the service was excellent, considering the COVID period.Take a boat fishing excursion and catch a fish, and they will cook it for you. Capt Hirams hosted and catered the rehearsal dinner for my daughters wedding. The exquisite Luau themed food and decorations on their riverfront beach were amazing. Their service staff were very friendly and accommodating to the needs if our guests.
I dont mention negative things by name, on that note, I will say bartender Jimi is the best addition you guys have got! Thanks Jimi for making our experience great!!
Very beautiful and clean Resort, we stayed there end of June. We felt very safe there and enjoyed the our stay. Most AMAZING is Jaime at the reception. I forgot my beach dresses and after almost 6 weeks I realized it. JAMIE was super sweet, found them in the lost and found and mailed them to me right away. JAIME IS THE BEST. THANK YOU!!!
I’m sitting here now in that trying to watch an NFL GAME. I’m driven to distraction by several things.1. The lackadaisical mask wearing by the staff. Masks worn beneath the nose, or under chin.2. Poor service- skunky beer, sloooow food service.3. The poor organization of putting NFL games on the numerous tv’s.We’ve been coming here for at least 5 years now, to watch the Sunday NFL games. We are extremely disappointed in this new “team”. Although we understand that Covid has brought many challenges to businesses in this area, there is no excuse for lack of compliance this far into Covid.Unfortunately, we will be selling our gift cards, purchasing DirectTV and watching from home from here on out. It’s a shame because we want to support our local businesses, but are not willing to sacrifice our health in order to do that. We have been following social distances, and mask requirements, and expect that our fellow citizens will do the same. We cannot support a business that has such a lackadaisical attitude towards its patrons well-being.
Last week was the first time we visited this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We had great time with the generous service, with the finest food and fine drinks and with the honest payment. We will no doubt come back in a short time.

Nice location near most of the places to go to in town. Clean spacious rooms and cozy balconies. Ample parking for visitors. The late evening manager was extremely rude but other staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Worth a quiet get away to a sleepy beach town with a homey bar scene and a quick trip away from nearby towns for a bigger bar scene

The bartender that greeted me it first looked like a wonky Duncan Trussell, minus the charm or humor. He made me feel like I was Forrest Gump trying to get a seat on the bus. However a security guy named Smitty and a hostess with short reddish hair named something like Cianca swooped in and saved the day by quickly explaining the seating arrangements, getting me seated and having a server tend to me quickly. I was on my way out the door and theywere so amazing and pleasant, these people should be managers or trainers because they lead by example and this place should appreciate them for their stellar customer service skills. I went from feeling awkward and like I was a bother, to being treated like royalty, thats a fact. These two people are amazing and Ill be making sure that theyre treated properly because they are uniquely wonderful. My review went from 0 to 4.0. I would have given this place be on 5 if I had just out with them, but the bartender that was like a fuzzy photocopy of Duncan trussell gave me the dread meme.
Pretty bare bones. Not much to do that you cant do anywhere else in sebastian. Theres a jacuzzi in the room but in order for it to actually get warm you have to leave the shower and sink on hot for TEN MINUTES. probably wont be back. Ill go a few miles down the road and find something cheaper and more functional
We have been here many of times and always love it! It is the atmosphere that screams vacation even when you are a local. The drinks and food are above par and i would recommend to anyone:)! Keep up the great work! I wish I knew our servers name from today because she was awesome but all I remember is she was training a new hire so yall already know shes awesome!
It was nice. Social distancing was practice. There was someone at the door checking for masks and taking you to a certain seat. Very nice.
Unacceptable I get emails every day I go from being told Im one of the best customers in 2019 pull up today totally unorganized totally mismanaged came with a party of 4 did not get any service was refused service because we were in a hotel guest is particularly visit so we left after 25 minutes and went in spent $500 down the street at a business that was more than happy to wait on us. With that being said I heard one block to the North a comparable resort with a hotel in waterfront bar with more amenities just got approved I cant wait for this new place to open next year

Nice place rooms were clean and staff were all helpful. I went with my company for 2 nights and the staff that helped were all quick to help and also remembered what I was drinking crazy since there were about close to 40 of us. I also liked how they had their own areas across the street the restaurant, bar, and chill spot/beach which were all really nice and clean.
We had a great time, great customer service, everyone was nice to us. The cleanliness of the rooms needs to improve specially bathrooms. Other than that everything was great! Thank you for having us!

I had the best time there. Band was amazing!!! I danced my one legged butt off. Be careful driving when you leave though, cops were everywhere watching for intoxicated drivers. Serious there were atleast 4 or 5. I made some people we met there take an Uber. Be safe! I definitely recommend highly, just make sure you stay in a hotel within walking distance or uber.
Good food and service. However when I received the bill I was floored that they charged me for ice in my drink. I had a double captain morgans and they charged $2.00 for ice - that totally floored me.
My wife and I enjoyed spending my 50th Birthday at Capt Hirams. The room overlooked the marina and the Sand Bar . The atmosphere was very relaxing and chill. The Asian Tuna Nachos were superb ! Overall our stay was awesome . We will be back
Walls are do thin we were kept awake by a crying baby, and barking dog. Bed was way too hard and pillows were cheap. Only half the outlets even worked. Would not recommend...ever.
[Update]I changed my rating from 1 star to 4. I reached out and spoke with a rep. at Capt. Hirams. They were very nice, polite, and took a significant amount of time to speak with me on the issues at hand. Due to the licensing Capt. Hirams operates under they are restricted on food/alcohol sales provisions under Florida Covid operating restrictions. Simply put, food sales must be more than alcohol sales. I did address the other issues as well advising the rep. a copy of the restrictions should be posted by the door to let customers know the situation.After a good conversation I will go back to Hirams in the future.[Original Review]Very poor management decisions deter customers. I Was A previous customer, however I will not go back based solely on very poor decisions by management.As of today, Friday July 24, 2020, my fiancé and I decided to go to the Sandbar at Capt. Hirams for a few drinks. Upon arrival it was confusing to figure out exactly where the entrance to the bar was. However, after locating the entrance we were faced with a large sign saying masks were required.Now, let me be clear. There is no logic to wearing masks into a facility where you are just going to take the mask off to eat and drink! I must also make note the sandbar is completely open air, making this requirement even more pointless. Take note, at this time there are NO mask mandates being imposed by any local, state, or Federal authority. The mask policy decision is only by the business owner/management. As a private business they can make any policy they want, however in this instance it defeats logic.Now, my major reason for walking out is their new policy that you MUST order food while there. The polite hostess informed us that customers are no longer allowed to just order a couple drinks, they are required to order food. This is appalling managerial decision making, which in my opinion suggests why the place was almost deserted of customers.To anyone in Hirams management team that reads this I hope you gain an insight into how brash decisions can very negatively impact your business and deter customers from patronizing you in the future.
Hello everyone this is Clifford married with 9 kids Uber and Lyft driver full-time car salesman for Boniface Hiers Chevrolet decide to take my wife out on the Harley last night after working about 15 hours yesterday had awesome pizza and a drink at Earls Hideaway and was too tired to ride home so I booked a room here and it was fantastically awesome came with a jacuzzi and boy did we enjoy that two person especially want to thank the hotel staff for making us feel real comfortable so definitely need to return for a three-day exquisite you know what I mean LOL
Nice resort for a weekend getaway, the restaurants have good food and they will cook your fish that you catch. Always have good bands playing and river cruise which is a great way to relax and drink a few beers.

Awesome place, we got to see the white pelicans from our dog friendly outdoor dining seat. The place is spread out and offers a couple different varieties of dining on the water (with entertainment). If you visit Sabastian and dont stop here, youll miss out.

Very deceitful way to do business. Ask for a credit card for incidentals and then charge for a resort fee that was NEVER discussed. Be different if it was a TRUE RESORT...THE BED WAS OLD AND THE ROOM WAS SO DAMP I FELT LIKE I WAS SLEEPING IN THAT RIVER!! Wont be back here!! Stay away...youve been warned!! Its a shack..not a resort! Sewage water smell too!
Really appreciated the entire team for their service. From the calls prior to our visit, until check out. Captain Tim and his first mate were excellent guides as well!With Covid-19 running rampant in Florida, we felt safe with all the precautionsbeing used by staff.
Interesting place lots of fried food, expensive drinks $7.75 for a lagunitas etc you can dock your boat here. Its near sebastian inlet.

Went to the Sandbar Restaurant last evening and were not impressed. The drinks were terribly watered down - even the juices were not distinguishable. (We make 100% better rum drinks at home). Very disappointing. The smoked fish dip portion was small and served with 12 stale crackers. Yes - STALE ! I will say that the peel & eat shrimp were as good as we could get anywhere else around the waterfront, but this mediocre meal (at best) was sure not worth $60. We won’t be back - there are too many GOID restaurants in the area that Ofer waterfront dining.

The draft beer wasnt very cold & the ahi tuna nachos were a mess. As soon as you picked one up, it fell apart. And there were 3 pieces of tuna & 4 nacho chips.....hellooooo. Riverside cafe(from whom Capt. Hirams stole the recipe) rules the ahi tuna nachos! On the other hand, our waiter, Marco, was very good.

By all appearances, a beautiful place to stay - beach theme throughout - clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately I am super-sensitive to mold and mildew, and I noticed what was to me a strong smell in the first room we were assigned in the main building. To be fair, it did not bother my wife. We moved to a room in a second building where the smell was not as bad to me, and my wife couldnt smell it. We only stayed overnight, so not long enough to enjoy amenities. The website says parking and internet are free, but when I asked what the resort fee was for I was told it was for parking and internet (so theyre not free, you pay for them). The photos on the website are misleading. The rooms in the two buildings we were in do not overlook the water. Blackfins Riverfront Grill on the other hand, is right on the water. They served great food for brunch, and the staff was super friendly. I would recommend for somebody staying more than just one night if you are not as sensitive to mold and mildew as I am. I am sorry to say that I cannot stay there again.
The food was amazing 10/10 will recommend to eat here, and they where great with the safety policy for COVID.

Aggressive triggered hostess refused to seat my wife and I. I have a medical condition that doesnt allow me to wear a face covering. I was told it was a law which is a lie. The hostess retrieved the manager who told me Id need a Drs note, which is a HIPAA violation. I was outright discriminated against over a condition to which I have no control. This is like telling a person in a wheelchair its illegal to eat unless they can walk. Shameful sad and disgusting. Have been eating here for 15+ years. Will never again. Shame.
Good spot for locals and vacationers alike. Good breakfast, live music, atmosphere, etc. Watching fisherman arrive on the dock.
My wife and I rented a pontoon from Hiram’s and were wed on a small island on the river with a small group of family. We then had our reception the same evening in their Tiffany Room. Even though we had to push our date back and downsize due to COVID, our special day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Special thanks to Brianna and the rest of the staff there for their excellent service. You are amazing and so appreciated!
My wife and I stayed here for a 3 day stretch for a wedding. The rooms were clean and covered everything you would want. Spent most of our time away from the room, so we were pleased with the accommodations. The staff were also helpful when my wife and I were scheduling a drive to take us to the Melbourne Airport.Besides the accommodations, the hotel is located conveniently close to many restaurants and bars along the water, which was nice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if we are in the area again
Its awesome. There is a ton to do and a beautiful view. I love that your stay comes with a free activity as well. The restuarant has fantastic food and the best atmosphere. My only complaint is that the beds are as hard as pavement.

My daughter had her destination wedding here, and it all went like clockwork. Everything in one place...wedding outside on the river, cocktails and appetizers, meals, DJ spinning tunes all upstairs in the Tiffany Room. All the wedding party stayed 3 nights and took over the beautiful building right on the river. They all want a wedding reunion in 5 years, 10 years, etc.

Beware the Covid rules! Weve been here MANY times with good results. This time? Not. So. Much!The Sandbar Club (on property) is the only thing open, and service was POOR. The ladies room had the sink water turned off (during a pandemic.) Blackfins Restaurant (on property) was closed. Bikini Beach (on property) was closed. The craft cocktail bar on property was closed. The spa on property was closed. No---NO---housekeeping service. SSME ROOM RATE. Less service and few amenities with NO discount.Our (first) room reeked of wet dog. We were moved to a clean-smelling room. This was a good concession. And the only one. The service at the Sandbar was pitiful, at best.As always, the central location is nice, as you can walk to Squid Lips for amazing food, or to Maryland Crab Stop for delicious seafood, or Earls Hideaway for inexpensive top-shelf pours, and many other spots ate a short drive away. But the resort amenities? Uh, no!
