Wildlife on one side of the river, industry on the other side. So grateful this area was set aside for wetlands!

Not a place for kids. Theres nothing to do, and the tide stinks really bad. Can be Very scary right before dusk, even before they found the bodies of those women Im the water a year or so ago.

You need a tolerance for glimpses of heavy industry here. This park has a surprising number of little divergent footpaths, maybe a mile or more altogether. If you like to safely feel you are getting briefly lost, try walking here. Also home to a rarity in these parts: marshland, and attendant birdsong (or so it was right after a rain shower, anyway).

A great place for bird watchers. Sitting on the Duwamish River at the start of the sound. Also lots of wondering men!

Great park, beautiful blend of natural and industrial. Only problem is theres some strange stuff going on there sometimes. Just be safe and its a stunning park!

A great place to launch a kayak. I also picked up a ton of garbage in the river, so everyone do your part when you come here and help keep this place nice (in a gritty ecoindustrial way).

People here are so friendly. Theres lots of guys walking around and asking you how your day is going. Ive never been to a place where the people are so talkative.Everyone there wants to show you trails around the park. Only downside of this place is there are a few places with litter, despite trash cans being feet away.

Had no idea this was where Guys go to rendevu with each other. I saw it on Maps and thought it might be a good place to see a view with water. Do not visit this park as a single female. Also no good views and the trails were littered

Dirty. Strange people coming out bushes! Not a place to bring kids.

Review №21

As Ive seen some others mention, the majority of people there were gay men either on the prowl or getting action in the bushes. If you can look past that, really not a bad setting for a walk. some interesting historical features and signs. a few people painting scenes which was nice to see.the prowlers followed me closely the whole time trying to make eye contact and overall made me pretty uncomfortable. felt like a scene in a movie, really bizarre.

A very surreal park set in an natural area that is on the edge of industrial sprawl. It will take time to restore it to its natural beauty.

Theyve gone in and cut back all the underbrush. I just cant see how this would make it that much better Wetlands preserve by removing all the plants.

The really great thing about this park is that it is out of the way and generally devoid of people. Not many people come here at all, I would guess mostly because theres really nothing else around that many people would find interesting. Its mostly a commercial/industrial part of town, no residential nearby, and this park was once a part of the shipping terminals that used to line the Duwamish River. The land was reclaimed and it is still something of a work in progress as a site being returned back to it original and left to go somewhat wild. So rarely when Im there do I see families or groups of people having a barbecue. It is usually just other single men strolling the paths and perhaps walking there dogs (its an off-leash area). Its a good place to go to relieve the stress of the day.

A neat and unexpected natural area along an industrial waterway. Too many weird guys in the bushes and some shady, angry characters (in the middle of a sunny afternoon) made this an uncomfortable place to spend any time.
