Its okay. The house wasnt taken care of at all. I really wish someone would buy it then make it actually liveable to stick it to the man otherwise not really worth your time.
Did you guys know that this place was an inspiration for the Disney Movie UP? I went here with some friends so we can check the place out. It is definitely like the movie, lots of other stores or corp surrounds it and there is more building to building. It just sucks that the house isnt like painted or refurbished. Looks like it just stripped down to the wood and also it is gated. If this place was fix up, Im sure lots of people would enjoy it.
This place should be revitalized and Ediths story would live on. It is the house used in UP and is the last Ballard old out house on the block. I think it would make a small but awesome Ballard info center.
Iḿ supposed to be working in class but i wanted to see if the house from up was inspired from anything and i was right! i loved the movie
Awesome story. Theres a geocache across the street in honor of this house.
Its amazing to know that its a real
This little up house was totes cute but has not been upkept and is kind of depressing now.
It is a very good place to visit. Full of story.
Its like the cartoon Up a little old house surrounded by the big city buildings and busy streets. I can just imagine big balloons floating the house away.
Very cool little place especially when theres balloons tied to the fence because of the movie up
Cute little house with a lot of story behind it. Only wished it had a placard to tell the story
It pretty much looks like a borded up house in the middle of downtown didnt stay long, its cool to visit if your near by or driving through
Nice little house tucked into a nook
Pretty cool. If you have time to read the story about this house look it up. 108 year old house!
I love UP movie, but dont expect the same house, is just the inspiration of how the UP house ends between buildings
Nice story, but it is all boarded up now. The owners should turn it into a museum or something. I think that would get a lot of traffic in seattle.
Empty house while a number of people without homes try to earn money by selling Real Change papers outside. Sad, ironic, representative of Seattle culture.
Its a unique house and location, but it almost looks fake. All of the doors and windows are borded up and it looks really depressing. The color of the the house nearly blends in to the surrounding building.Worth a look if youre nearby, but its kind of underwhelming. The place really needs to be kept up.
Its just an abandoned house. Pity
What a great thing to see. As others have noted, it is a bit underwhelming and not something I would recommend going out of your way for, but it has a great backstory and its a dope thing to walk past.
Adventure is out there!
Great story behind the house but it needs to be up-kept if it wants to display some sort of historic meaning to tourist.
What an amazing story. So happy the house is still there.
Thank you Edith Macefield for being such a badass!!
No means no!! Thanks Edith!
Great balloons and ribbons
Needs some work
The Mall was smaller then expected, but nice to see the house.
Not worth the time. Run down and boarded up. The corporate real estate goons won this round.
Are you a fan of the UP movie ?, this house is the real one on which the story is based, do not miss it
Cool place, cool story
Its so cool having a house in the city normally houses would not be surrounded by buildings
Interesting story behind the house. It was cool to see, but isnt the most exciting destination.
As a tourist attraction its very disappointing. The house is not maintained or just painted.
Never certain though but this house is like the house on the movie UP!
Disney made the movie Up about this House.
It is nothing just an old house
A squalid reminder of a lonely persons last stand against modernity. Completely underwhelming.
It is cool to see from a story perspective but sad that it is in disrepair from the owner passing
Lovely place to see
No longer there
Nice Seattle story behind. Worth going.
The up house!
So sad that they didnt preserve the outside but still a beautiful story!
Seems kinda pointless now. Seems like a important folk lore story for a modern Seattle tho.
Desolate
Poor place needs some siding.
Edith forever!
It’s pretty funny, a tinny flat
Disappointing
Disappointed. Not much left of it.
Leave nature history Edith Macefields house
Respect for house owner from Indonesia
Very nice!!!
