Been visiting and using the Community Center @ GreenLake my whole life and still use it pretty often today.. They have the Swimming pool, Showers (helpful if youre homeless!) And plenty more!
Easy convenient shower, pottery and other hobbies. Playgrounds for kiddos. ....Its a Good place.
I usually go to the playroom, which is for kids until 5 years old. It is a nice room with a lot of toys and where your kid can socialize with other kids. We also go to the swimming pool there, which is ok, I think that the locker room should be bigger and with more bench space.
Outside Basketball court is slanted. Staff inside is rude. Place needs to be tore down & rebuilt. The Mens shower is a open prison stall. Open door where anybody could just walk in. Theres a condom dispenser next to the sink. I would not bring your kids here, its a issue that seriously needs to be addressed. Mayor Ed Murray was a representative of the the Green Lake/Capital Hill area. Ive never seen a COMMUNITY CENTER like this. Shame, because a lot of people come up to this area.
We have a great child play area pre school basketball courts a swimming pool full basketball courts outside and inside great staff clean and friendly Also we have the magic of Green Lake walking around the Lake talking to your friend shopping at shops on the way having coffee a bite to eat easy access to a lot of accessories I recommend that to anyone especially someone thats new to the area
Tied hammocks to some trees and fell asleep!
Could be spruced up but a great place for all ages with showers and pool and more right on the lake
Within green lake and right next to the playground. Houses the swimming pool, the ping pong table and the infant and toddler room. They are especially good because they are open just a little later in the evening and useful for working parents.
I teach piano here every Friday in their preschool room. The room shows the love the preschool teacher has. They also have a swimming pool and locker rooms to cover. The place isnt clean, but thats how Seattle is kinda like. Coupled with the playground, its a quaint place to bring children.
¡¡URGENTLY TO LGBTIQA+ COMMUNITY!! I always going there and my rating was 5 stars now its dropped to 3 because I was not allowed to use private restroom with shower ready and I explained about my gender and deafness. I feel safe and comfortable using their private restroom with shower ready. I cant use public shower so I had to paid to use it and it cost me 4 bucks. At least they let me pay for it and use it thou. Community is community. Its supposed to be open mind and supposed to make sure everyone is safe and have fun and enjoy the day. The private restroom with shower ready rules says 15 minutes and shower is 5 minutes use. Its also for disabilities, children, genders. Why would they reject me in first place? They dont know me at all. Lifeguard and lobby dont like me for no reason. Its about safe, fun, enjoy. Ooo shouldnt done that during June month of Pride! Eee sigh
Had a blast
So Dirty and the workers are so rude
Love the pool and the kids space upstairs. The staff could use some training on basic courtesy. The front desk doesnt seem to know how to greet a person within a several minute window of standing at the desk, starting at them, waiting to be acknowledged.
Wonderful always a pleasure here.
Decent community center. Seems a bit on the older side. It was really good for the dodgeball tournament that I played in though. Has mens and womens locker rooms, a shuffleboard table, pool table, and a foosball table.
Nice people and a good pool
Nice place for ping pong players!
Such a wonderful place to take the kids! They have tons of different toys and play structures, my son loves it.
Idk why they would host a huge event with little to no parking. Besides that the Christmas event was fun
The basketball court could be nicer but the staff is very nice, shout-out Charlie Higgins, and prices for the pool are quite low.
Best basketball in the city great place for the family
Wonderful community space right on green lake. Parking can be tricky, but its worth a short walk. :)
Another spot we of the homeless community frequent. Funny how humble you get with an onslaught of judgment from all the do folders of the workd. I use this place for the free shower. I dont have a problem with our gay community I just hate how rouge gay men stalk these kinds of places. Anyways thats the negative
A very good place to go on a run/walk. I love coming here especially during the summer. A lot of people are here with their families and pets.
Nice community center, although not much to offer
Free showers is a grace from the heavens. There are a couple of employees that are friendly and helpful too.
The toddler room is amazing! Pretty big and had a great variety of toys and books. There were a lot of kids there but plenty of room for them all.
I like green lake because its big
Great open space in the heart of the city.
Nothing to say. Everything is clean, the staff is nice and helpful. Children can enjoy safely
Oldie but goodie. Always nostalgic but the bathrooms are not very up to date and have had a few bad experiences with my son having to see drug use and some shady characters which is always a concern.
So cute playing with toddlers. Theyre a bit younger than 3-4
Parking is always the problem, especially during summer time. But I love coming here for ping-pong games.
There is something for everyone.
Wonderful community center with swimming pool and table tennis is the best!!
Long time basketball player at Greenlake, the outdoor Seattle Storm courtsare awesome. I picked a great sunny fall afternoon 11/21/16 to shoot hoops. Glass backboards, courts are in good shape. And always nicepeople doing the various workouts Greenlake provides.Nice views all around!.
Dodge ball on Wednesday are awesome! lol and every time I have been there the staff has been super friendly
I take my baby to the toddler room and we love it. Specially cause they are always open, so its a nice place to hang out whenever your baby decide to wake up from a nap.
The trail around the lake is great for walking, running, or bicycling!
Great place to go for a swim
Too many stuck up and racists people
Great swim pool!
Right by PCC and a public library, and all of Greenlake including fitness rings. Free showers. So this is what sales tax pays for.
Dirty floors and walls. But good rec area.
Pool, community center, ball fields, toddler gym, event permits and more
Showers Mon-Fri till 8pm, I believe..
This place needs extended hours
Good place for toddlers
Get your hoop on
Crowded and smells like poop
Basketball rentals :)
Good
Great experience
Love it
Very nice.
Great for table tennis and basketball.
Historic and community oriented.
Nice venue and location, horrible parking.
Best park in the City!
Basketball courts are open outside.
Great Park for Kids
