A gem of a dive bar on Hollywood Blvd. Avoid the crazed clubs with velvet ropes and Fast and Furious crowd and get cozy with a shot of Jameson and PBR. Dim lighting and a juke box make for the perfect late night rendezvous.A Hollywood staple - you can almost imagine Dennis Hopper or James Dean drinking at the bar with you.

Love this place! They generally have live music practically every week, on the weekends. Everything is a decent price here, and it is right next door to the Floating Bridge Brewery. You could always pregame at Floating Bridge and then come here afterwards, or vice versa. Bartenders are usually nice and helpful. Bands are always a lot of fun! Highly recommend coming here to see some local groups play, always have a blast!

If your looking for a neat little stop to grab a drink, and sit where the kings of grunge from the 90s used to hang, look no more. Everyone in there was friendly. Caught some cool live music. That was a deluxe bonus, indeed.

A dive bar with a college degree. I will actually cry if this place ever closes. Cheap beer, books, and fresh live music? Yes please. No TV blaring - WOW. If I lived closer, wed have a permanent table here. Best bartenders in the U-District and an unpretentious crowd. Meet a new friend, or bring one and make out in a private booth.

Blue Moon Tavern is a must go to bar in Seattle. Its steep in history and still has a ton of character. Many a famous people called this place their home, maybe you should too. They have an open mic night and regularly host local live bands. You really never know who you might see here both on the stage or in the crowd.

This place is beyond racist. Went to support a friend performing and I brought my own beer ( I didnt know this was illegal. I dont frequent bars and the security guard said nothing). Rather than tell me that and ask me to leave, the man snatched the beer out of my hand, yelled at me in front of everyone there and ushered me out with his body. I stopped for a second to let my friends know I had to leave and he yelled at me and said you cant speak to them you need to leave. I was not resisting, I wasnt being rude, and I was leaving like he rudely yelled at me to do. He was overly aggressive and putting his hands on my person. They also refused to give me the information of the owner so I could talk to her about her overly aggressive staff who tried to force me out without letting me inform my friends. Security guard said she would have been just as mean. Good to know. Thank God my friends stood up for me. They told them how racist they were for treating a young black woman like this yet being nice to them when they were standing up for me and were more irate than I was. I work for a well known establishment where I have a rapport with the hundreds of customers I work with a day as well as tourists asking for suggestions. I will tell them my experience and to avoid this place like the plague.

People like to throw around the term dive bar so much it begins to lose meaning. Blue Moon is as divey as a bar can be. Or you can call it character if you prefer. Either way, this bar has it all: bad odors, a sticky floor, flair up the ying yang, and cold beers. Welcome home.

This is the kind of place you come into and ... It feels like an old friends place that you have been to a thousand times. Regular live shows, great for after work beer and pool with buds. Good conversations to be in or observe on the adult side of the barlol also great for dates, some cozy 2 top booths with old books that have as many as tales to tell as the Halls of Hogwarts. ¡THELEAKYCAULDRON¡ Good draft selection, cheap Wells. And PINBALL! Fin.

I first visited this bar in 1991 when i was in the Navy to score certain recreational drugs and had my first dark beer, a Redhook on tap and played pool on tables with tie dyed felt. Well 30 some years later there is no more Redhook but they have a plethora of dark beers and other beers and the pool tables were covered because of the live music. The overall vibe hasnt changed in 30 years.if anything that old vibe has gotten more popular. Nice small town feel for a big city bar.

The bartender did not acknowledge my presence for about 10 minutes. Then when two white patrons walked to the counter, the bartender stopped helping me and assisted them. Then when I thought he would come back to finish my order, he continued to talked to one of the other patrons. After sitting there for about another 15 minutes, I left and went to another bar that accepts black patrons. I had heard good things about this bar, and was looking forward to receiving excellent service. Ended up not receiving service at all. I would not recommend this place for any black African American person/s

I hesitate to review this place, because I want to keep it all myself. So heres my compromise:. If you will drink what youre given, cheerfully excuse the person who enters the wrong restroom, enjoy some rock and roll, damn The Man, discuss with a fellow drunk the benefits of waiting out an earthquake under a pile of long-outdated encyclopedias, and be a good person who minds their own beeswax... You can sit by me.

Beulahland is the greatest dive bar in this pocket of Portland. It has a few rooms, often is busy, a mix of beer, and the food is better than youd expect. I dont like the hamburger. You know those kind that are so thick you can barely bite it? Plus its $11. Go with the $7 for three sliders. Theyre better and cheaper. Sometimes you show up and everyones watching a game or something on the big screen, or suddenly theres comedy going on. By the way, anyone know what a Beulah is?

I didnt know what I was going to. A Heckle Mic? But seriously, I had the BEST night that Ive had (stoned...) in Seattle in a while. So imagine, a host, a host with the most, leading a bunch of cynical, yet nice, Seattlites into a comedy show where the intent is to burst thru the grape-skinned Seattle sensibilities... for a laugh. At first, I snubbed it because I like to be rowdy and Im loud and I can make myself heard, but its Seattle, yanno. Especially when you realize some of the hecklers will also be the comics. My personal favorite was Aioli and Taylor, a newcomer. If youre looking for something to do Monday at 8 p.m., check this out!

A solid bar Im sure with good seating and a stage for band. Unfortunately I walked in with a fishing ball cap on and my buddy had a camo patch on his jacket, and we both were wearing boots. Despite being 4 hours until they closed the bartender told us they were closing and wouldnt serve us drinks right after she served two others. That took 5 to ten minutes of waiting while she clearly was trying to ignore us. We were polite the whole time, even after being told no drinks. They couldnt make change for a few ones to play at the pool table either. No matter how nice this bar might be if you arent dressed right, ie nothing that looks country, the service is not just terrible but downnoright discriminating. This was my second time trying it out and the first was not much different. I dont mind maintaining a theme at a bar but lying to people and turning them away based on clothing is downright unethical.
