What an intriguing and super rad Museum! When I visited they had an awesome Marvel Exhibit with costumes and props actually used in Marvel movies! I got photos of real life props and costumes worn by the (super cool) actors. They have awesome music interactions, gaming sections, fan favorite parts and most importantly they have awesome exclusive exhibits! The Museum of Pop Culture is a very fun visit. This is a great place. Wonderful, educational, museum. It was cold and raining outside so we get a chance to spend almost a whole day exploring the museum. It takes you through the world of music that changed history to classic cinema we’ve grown to love. We had a lot of fun there. Price for an adult is $28, and 25 for student. If you place to visit this place be ready to spend at least 2 hours there. They have 3 floors with multiple rooms and different themes. Not our first visit and certainly not our last. We went on opening weekend of Minecraft: The Exhibition and had a fantastic time. The time and effort that went into building the exhibit can be seen in the quality of the pieces. Lots of picture opportunities. Great for small kids and teens alike. This museum has a decent overview of all things popular today. Even if you feel that you are not too involved in the pop culture, you will likely find something you connect with here anyway. I absolutely love this museum! The exhibits were all really cool and showcased a lot of unique artifacts such as film props and costumes. I particularly enjoyed the exhibit on horror, as its a genre that has contributed greatly to our culture but is often viewed as less worthy of study than other media genres. The special exhibit on Marvel was really cool too! It was interesting to see how the stories have been translated/changed for different media formats as well as over time.

The museum opens at 10 but people start lining up at around 9:45. We happened to be there early since we went to snap some pics of the Space Needle beforehand. We bought our tickets the same day, online, and saved a couple of bucks ($28 for an adult vs. the $30 walk up). I was also able to use my student ID ($25), you just have to show it along with your ticket when you enter.Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours there. There are a lot of cool exhibits, like the tattoos, Nirvana, horror and sci-fi movies. (Also if you’re a Jimi Hendrix or Pearl Jam fan, they have exhibits for those as well. They’re really going for a Washington musicians theme here). My favorite was probably the Sound Lab where you can take a quick music lesson and even record your own demos in a sound room.If I were to re-do it, I would go on a weekday so that there are less kids running around since I doubt schools would be taking class trips here. Definitely worth a visit though! Just make sure to come early so you can avoid crowds.

Four Stars would have been Five but 30$ a person was steep. If it was comperable to a movie theater ticket 14.50-15$ the volume of attendees would be incredible and more people could enjoy their local PopCulture History.I was upset to see exhibits removed because of political ties/personal feelings. After all this is a museum and that felt like historical censorship. Im sad to see the museum renamed. EMP better described what this place is. Experience Music Project for ever.

Absolute five star experience and one of the best museums in the world in my opinion. The Museum of Pop Culture just have something for everyone - not just for adults but for kids as well. Big gratitude to the late Paul Allen who found this fascinating museum. I was personally intrigued by the Nirvana exhibits. Our guide Jenn (self proclaimed Nirvana geek!) gave us a content rich 45-min tour of the full history of the band. Kids enjoyed the Sci-Fi, gaming and fantasy sections. I also got a taste of the Pearl Jam exhibits (even though I am not a huge Pearl Jam fan).
