Really a nice place to visit a lot of rich history beside these walls.
Nearby Seaford is home to the historic Governor Ross Mansion. Visitors to the area can learn about the history surrounding this property with a guided tour with The Seaford Historical Society. The large brick mansion was constructed in the mid-1800s and was the home of William Henry Harrison Ross and his family. Besides the mansion itself, the 20-acre grounds are also home to the slave quarters, a granary, stables, and a smokehouse.
Some original furniture. Rooms are interesting. Definitely shows life style of the mid 1800s.

Awesome egg hunt this year. Grandson really enjoyed it.
Beautiful event center, great for weddings!
Stunning structure nestled in a picturesque setting, wasnt open to get a look at the inside. Certainly a beautiful breath of historical architecture.
Enjoyed visiting Ross Mansion with a very knowledgeable tour guide. The mansion and grounds are an amazing part of history.
Great place to visit, events throughout the year. This is a must see. Period furnishings in the main house as well as the outbuildings.
Went on a tour with a school group. some of the tour guides have not a clue, When walking through the home they tell how Govern Ross owned all this property and that his property extended all the way north to Seaford. Wow, that must of been hard as we are already north of Seaford, You could tell that they were all going off of cue cards and had no idea about any of the things they were discussing. Such as one guide stated that to her knowledge Ash only had 3 uses, it had so many more uses but her cards only listed 3. Also When on the trip the schedule stated Small games/ Gift shop when I walked into the gift shop I was not welcomed at all. I was made to feel as though I had walked behind the scenes at Disney. I turned around and started to walk out then was told that if I was willing to spend money I could look around. I wouldnt of walked into the gift shop in the first place if I wasnt. The people in the gift shop were very Rude and in my opinion very stuck up. I know that I wont be returning anytime soon.
