So far so good. Weve only had one class but my girls (who were VERY apprehensive about going) came out EXTREMELY excited and completely comfortable. The entire staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I stayed for the beginning of the class and they were really great with the kids.I also read about fundraisers they hold so that children who cant afford it can also attend. I think that is really great as this seems like an amazing program that could really benefit our children in a lot of ways. They can excel in the performing arts but also with social skills, public speaking, group effort, performance anxiety & Im sure even more. Our city has so many art programs and features. Its really great that their is something so awesome & exciting for our younger artists and performers.
I truly believe the Cappa arts/theatre brings a great opportunity to our community but unfortunately it may come at a high cost for the kids participating. The owners /directors apparently take to bullying. It is heart breaking to know adults behave in this manner and treat their members with such disregard.
Nice, well preserved piece from the past. This old theater still has good bones, and its able to still accommodate for the shows of today. Not too big and overpowering...just the right size to get a good feel for the theater.Had a great time when I visited.
They put on great productions. My children have learned and grown so much there!
I have just met the most exciting group of people in the area. Just felt immediately welcomed to come into the cafe and everyone was excited that I was auditioning for an upcoming event.. thank you all
They do a fantastic job in teaching young people song, dance, acting and above all cooperation and teamwork
Affordable, entertaining shows! Unique theatre.
A friends film premiered for one night, excellent viewing for the movie, nice place.Just one thing.. Very Cold in the building, especially in February. Dress Warm!!
Very unprofessional. Bullying and potential threats to a fellow member by the owners/ adults of this place.
My daughter who is 6 and autistic is in dance and I absolutely love it there! There are MANY stairs though and no parking unfortunately. But they did just recently get air conditioning!
Weve had a great experience each time weve been here, for summer camps, theater groups and birthday parties. My daughter absolutely loves it, and that makes me so happy!
My daughter loves this place
Love this place. My daughter enjoys getting lessons and doing performances here. It is fun, inspiring, and has a great staff. A safe haven too.
I have been a student of CaPAA for over a year now. I started working with the staff before they even officially formed this group! :) The staff is amazing. Sheri, Mike, Kim, Tina and Bill are always welcoming to students and friends, new and old!!!I can honestly say that working with Kim has made me a better performer and vocalist. She is well-trained and eager to teach. Tina, our choreographer, is awesome, and she will work your butt off in any and all of the dance classes. :)I have been having a blast getting to know everyone in the group as we learn and grow together as a family. ️
Overpriced for the experience you get. Beautiful building though
Such amazing Owners, pouring their heart into this beautiful place.
Not diverse enough, I would like to see the youth program give more lines or bigger parts then they have in the past to children of color, and maybe even consciously try to to get more children of color to participate in theater in general.
Not handicap accessible
The staff is very professional. The experience the staff has is top notch. They have extensive backgrounds in the creative and performing arts. You will not be disappointed. My children love CaPAA of NEPA️
Show was great ..... parking awful and building NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE dampening spirit of whole evening ..... very sad
Great venue. Not a bad seat in the place.
No near by parking, no air conditioning, lots of stairs... dont recommend in summer..
If you or your child are looking for quality performing arts education in Northeast PA, this is the group for you! Our 9-year-old daughter is having a fabulous time learning her role for an upcoming show. She has already learned a great deal, made some fantastic friends and has gained confidence and skill. I have attended rehearsals and can vouch for the consistent professionalism, patience, enthusiasm and developmentally appropriate teaching that takes place at every practice. The staff is top notch and have impressive and varied credentials backing them. We have tried the other local performing arts groups. This one pulls ahead by far! One last note to parents: The communication from this group is amazing. I am never left wondering about scheduling or dates/times, etc... Any questions Ive had are answered through email with lightening speed. We love CaPAA!!
My little sister has been performing in plays here for years, but we still come for other performances. The owners are wonderful and every show is fairly priced and fun to see!
Great performing arts venue for the youth & adult members of the community.
My daughter has been attending CaPAA programs for almost 3 years now. This will be her third summer going to camp. She also takes voice lessons with Miss Kimberly Johnson and dance with Miss Tina. We cannot say enough great things about the teachers and leadership within the program. My daughter has made so many friendships through this program because of the variety of people attending, all who have a common love of the Creative and Performing Arts throughout Northeast PA (CaPAA of NEPA).
Fantastic place to be! So wonderful to have a place like this in our community finally!
Our son looks forward to taking part in CaPAA activities. His confidence is thriving and he is learning so much, all while making new friends who share the same interests. This program really makes children shine and they have the best staff! We have nothing but praise for CaPAA and would strongly recommend it.
Great performances!
My granddaughter was in the recital
Saw a concert, was done well
