Great little Park Setting....Love the place/ambiance.... & Sculptures!! Maggionos Italian Restaurant is part of the FLW Park Setting.... That is a higher end $$$. Great area with many options to choose from !! :)
Beautiful area and has nice water features with benches
This spire is one of the spiriest spires in all of Scottsdale. It is rumored that some day in the distant future, a spire will be formed that will surpass this spire, but I dont see how such superstitions can be true.
At Night and Day its Great for pictures!! Especially if ur traveling... Check It Out!!
The sculpture garden around the Spire is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. There is a lovely peaceful fountain surrounded by a large circle of benches. The best time of day to visit is just before the sun sets, because theres usually no other people around and you can enjoy the sculptures and listen to the trickling of the fountain at your own leisure.
Very pretty, tiny area with interesting statues, nice landscaping, shaded sitting area, water features, upscale dining & common shops. Convenient to the 101. I wasnt able to give it 5 stars because none of the water fountains were on during my visit. Worth the brief stop if you are near the area & are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan.
Nice landmark showing the corner of Scottsdale Rd and Frank Lloyd Wright Rd
Definitely worth a stop! Wonderful piece of art!
My son loves it
I love Frank Lloyd Wright living in Chicago his work is everywhere. The houses he built are works of art, not just a house. I love seeing his name on my favorite street ️.
Omg. Ive lived here for 10+ years and didnt even know this was here! But wow! It was so cool to see and walk around and just experience the elements around it...
Great place to hang out. Beautiful and secluded.
Loved this experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
This tower is super cool. Night time is ideal viewing because it lights up a beautiful blue.
If youre a Frank Lloyd Wright fan its definitely worth checking out
One of the best spire Ive seen. Not too thin, not too thick... Perfect height. Wow that is one good looking spire and blue too... very nice.
It is a beautiful sundial spire and gardens based off the original Frank Lloyd Wright design for the Arizona capital building which was not built. The design was thought to be too futuristic back in the 1950s when FLW drew it. Hang around and notice the change of the shadow on the sundial. Fountains, shade, other FLW designed elements in the garden. Best to see it in winter when it isnt hot outside.
There are not a lot of markers here but this one tells you maggianos is next to it it also tells me that is were Frank loyd wright ends and bell rd begins
I loved every minute of this place. I went to the gift shop twice! Our tour guide was outstanding. Not only was he informative but he was humorous as well. He made it all the more better. I recommend visiting this house. Frank Lloyd Wright, you me good sir, were an amazing architect/designer. I can not wait to go on tours of the other houses you have designed.
Reminds me of The movie The Abyss.
Went next door to Maggianos for some 5 star lasagna. so good!
Amazing spire with some amazing sculptures surrounding it
Beautiful. Quiet area. Lots of benches. Interesting place to go. Fountains were quite lovely.
Spire and also sculptures. Fun small deal.
Maggianos still serves great Italian food and the portions are more than filling.
Great Landmark....lets me know Im almost to FLW & Scottsdale Rd. Its beautifully lite up at night, so whether day time or night you can always see it from afar.
It is a spire, that sticks up in the air. Im not even sure why it has the name (no interpretative sign was to be found)It does look cool, but if youre in the summer heat, just admire the unicorn as you drive by
The Legend ️.
Its neat, wouldnt plan an entire day to look at it though. More of an oh neat than something you would commit to writing a college paper on the significance of. It does have some neat little eateries around it as well as dealerships.
I enjoy Frank Lloyd Wrights work in general. The spire is colourful it look at his other work as well.
It was neat, but not as awesome as some pictures make it. There is a nice little park nearby as well. If you are here anyways, go ahead and take a look, if you are thinking of driving to see it? Id say pass.
So awesome
Got to admit I didnt even know this was an attraction until it popped up on Google guides. I go shopping at Trader Joes and eat at Picazzos. Its a cool spire. Ive always liked it. Next time I go Im going to take a closer look.
Interesting. .water in the fountain was super stinky..neat sculptures also
I always love the scenery when I take the bus ride from Mesa and thinking about maybe someday to live there and two thumbs up.
Its a beautiful generic sundial or, oblisque with generic indentations for hieroglyphs..Although the original function of a sundial would have been carved from stone and used to observe the shadowy casts..This modern day sundial also serves as a beautiful sculpture constructed with modern prefabricated material that illuminates with light at night.
I love the sculptures. Its a nice place to relax.
There is no on-site information about the spire. What looked like an information station was a covered bus stop. The spire was cool but the 5+ vagrants were unsettling.
It just may be the best place in Scottsdale
Cool place. Great food
Built with modern materials from FLWs design for the Arizona State Capitol, which unfortunately was too edgy for the decision makers of the time.
Umm... The only thing I do is catch the bus to work there...
Great view peaceful and amazing
Cool sight to see if youre in the area and very relaxing with the fountain and zen garden.
Very neat. Tough to get pics unless you use a wide angle. Recommended.
Its unusual, easily seen from blocks away and lighted a pleasant blue at night making it a nice landmark for North Scottsdale.
Great place good people
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this Spire. It is iconic to Scottsdale, and they have some seating at the base. It is near a busy intersection, but still a relaxing place to be. Look for it on TV during the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Love it!
Its beautiful and its next to that fire Italian place
Spire was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright who was a famous architech from phoenix. His designs are all around the world!
It is a tall blue sculpture... Categorizing as a tourist attraction is misleading.
Very nice wonderful place to grab lunch and go shopping
Its a tall one alrighty
Beautiful landmark and garden.
Nice place to visit
Beautiful blue spire by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, with sculptures, a sitting area, and a fountain at the base.
Vitos is a good neighborhood restaurant / bar
The food tastes decent. However, the portions are way too large, the prices are too high, and the place is overcrowded
I love everything about Scottsdale.
Beautiful at night all lit up
I loved spicy Marconi and Cheese
Nice spot. I liked it
Really stunning piece of architecture, would have loved to see it on top of the capitol as intended
What can I say its beautiful
This thing is cool, especially at night
Important as a landmark.
