Great layout and course conditions were excellent on November 28th. Would return again and play both courses next time

Course was in great shape! Scott, Rick and Jack could not have been more welcoming and helpful! Heading back for another round tomorrow!

Course was great, starter was really nice, I asked him if he knew starters were supposed to be mean. Everyone there wanted to make sure we had a great round. Greens were fast and true. Wasn’t in a hurry but it was a nice pace for resort golf, finished in 3:40.

Nothing Ambiante about this course. The most disgusting course conditions ever. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. No idea what they were doing with the money they were charging over the winter. So sad because this was a gem in the valley. I will never play here again.

Great location and both courses were in great condition. We played both the Ambiente & Padre courses and had a challenging but fun experience. The Padre course played really well, the tee boxes and fairways were all in good shape and the greens were cut great! They had some really challenging par 5s on this course, and other water holes, but we all really enjoyed playing this course. The Ambiente was a little more challenging, and more expensive, and played similar to a Scottish Links course. So yes, sand was everywhere and the fairways were a bit narrow, although I’m a 13 handicap and this course played really well for me. Everything was in great shape and was laid out really well. The clubhouse itself was great and has a really good selection of gear to choose from. The restaurant is also a great place for lunch after your round and looks over #9 and #18 of Padre. We all enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back!

Great course layout. But they need to add some sand to their bunkers.

One of the best golfing experiences in Arizona. Both courses are well maintained and challenging, yet quite playable. What really sets Camelback apart from most clubs is the service. You won’t find a better group of guys.

Got a late afternoon tee time. Some thunderstorms came through after 2 holes. They were kind enough to refund instead of rain check since we were leaving for Chicago the next day. Course looked in fantastic shape. Greens had no unrepaired ball marks and putted true. Wish I could have finished the round. Thanks to the great staff.

Played here today with a buddy of mine. Arrived at the course and gave the cart guy my bag.. when I went up to the clubhouse pay the absurd green fees of $90 dollars, I came back to find that the staff had gone through my bag and removed all the beverages I brought. I personally thought it was a little strange for them to open my bag up and take my belongs out of it. In regards to the course, it was extremely boring and flat, the greens were filled with sand, seemed as though they had just punched the greens, in the middle of April? Anyway, would highly recommend not playing here, it is a complete dog track and the staff will go through your personal belongings. Only reason for the 2 stars is because the starter (older gentleman forgot his name) was very polite and professional.

Really great courses. Greens are in good condition. Great facilities and the staff is top notch. I have really enjoyed every time I have played there.

Great place for golfing. They have two courses, one that has recently been remodeled, and both are challenging and have great views of Camelback Mountain.

My father and I are in Scotsdale for a wedding, we decided to go golfing at 7am on a Friday. For two people and two set rentals we spent $480. The course was beautiful, and would be worth the price if everything is was perfect. But things were far from perfect. Instead of receiving six golf balls each, we received three each because they were low. Ok, no big deal... Next we find out that the course they put us on is cart path only.... This course is not even remotely cart path only friendly. I shot an 82 and still managed to log over 14,000 steps!! This is approximately 9 miles of walking!!! Im sorry but for $480 you cannot expect me to walk 8 miles with no warning. This should have been prorated; maybe for half price it would be appropriate to surprise me with a half marathon!! If we had known the course was so unfriendly for cart path only we definitely would have taken our business elsewhere. Again, if the situation was perfect, Id give it five stars. But if the situation is not, do not expect them to accomodate you.

Just went to the practised range today but this is one of the nicest courses in Scottsdale.

Course is in terrible shape. The course must have recently been aerated. Fairway have no grass. Greens are bumpy. Paid 50 bucks but would have been more if not with a member.

Came here for a networking golf event. I play golf but Im not a golfer. Had a great time. The staff, course, club house, pro shop and food make you not want to leave. Keep up the great work everyone.

Great location and both courses were in great condition. We played both the Ambiente & Padre courses and had a challenging but fun experience.

Played Padre 18. Good sight lines off tees, fast true greens, fairways overseeded and in near perfect shape. Not to challenging but not a push over either. Fun day, will be back.

Beautiful golf course!

2 beautiful golf courses with different play philosophies: Padre is a bit more open and more traditional resort course. Ambiente requires a little more target golf, and is less forgiving. Grass is in amazingly good condition for Dec 2018. I played with a member, but Id be sure to play here if I were staying at an eligible resort.

Flew in from NJ and saw the reviews of this course and I have to say, Loved every hole and every bit of experience from this Golf Club. The staff was very friendly, the price was great and the course was spectacular. If I ever come back to Arizona, I will be golfing here again!

Used to be an ok golf course, but has been drastically improved over the last few years. The course is of MUCH higher quality these days and should be considered for avid golfers and luxury golfers alike. Significantly improved fairways, greens, complexity and overall difficulty these days. Camelback has managed to maintain fair prices for such a great location for golfing...in the middle of Paradise Valley.

Two great golf courses. One, Padre, a treed resort course, the other, Ambiente, links style. Both courses are beautifully maintained with lightening fast greens. The pro shop is well stocked, the staff is as courteous as a Country Club. The restaurant and bar have great views, good food and outdoor seating. There are facilities for hosting events. All this in one of the best neighborhoods in town.

Staff was great and the course was good. It was challenging. I played 4 courses in Scottsdale in 3 days. All are great but this was my least favorite.

Attended a large tournament today put on by Cal Am. Course was in incredible condition. Fairways, tees, bunkers, greens, all great. Staff were very professional and well trained. Would love to come back.

Enjoyed Ambiente. Cool layout. Fun but testing track. Driveable par-4, and long par 4s. Short and long par 3s. Good test of golf.Will have to try the other course next time

Played here for a tournament and loved the course. Great, well maintained facility and course. Overall a fun course as well, lots of challenging holes. The gift shop was reasonably priced (for a golf club) and the kitchen was delicious.

Best golf experience Ive ever had. It was my 25th birthday today and I went golfing with my girlfriend. I told the the very nice lady in the club house it was my birthday and while we were golfing the beer girl came by and was told by someone to not charge me for anything. We got a couple beers and some sandwiches and it made my day. Someday when Im not a struggling college student Ill be a regular there. Everything about the course was perfect best greens Ive ever played on.

This is another golf course that should be on every golfers wish to playlist when you arrive at the front door you are made welcome feel welcome and the staff are very very good at our job the course offers a very tough test for any standard of California the greens are magnificent and men tend to a very high standard the practice facilities are above and beyond all I have ever seen in most places

We stop in here sometimes for lunch on our bicycle ride and the food, service & atmosphere are very good. Glad its here. Nice views of the golf course

We played Ambiente and were very disappointing in the course for the price. When we called we were told one price and to our surprise charged more, than what was originally communicated. We decided to give the course a shot anyway, and were very disappointed in the pace of play as well as the marshaling. There was a group in front of us that was moving very slow as well as a group behind us that was thrown out at the last minute pushing up against us. This was very frustrating. Not worth the time or money to go to this course. The course was not worth what they charged and they provide you with rules at the start of your round, but dont enforce them out on the course. Much better places in Scottsdale available to golf at!

Decent golf club. Layout of the Ambiente course is real dull. Mostly straight holes. 3.5 miles of front nine takes you straight away from the clubhouse and then you have 3.5 miles back in. Side by side.

Wonderful golf course in great shape

Played the Padre course. For the money very disappointed. Places like Whirldwind, Southern Dunes, Sunridge Canyon all around the same price as this are all much nicer.

Very nice coarse to play through on a weekend. defiantly recommended to go during the winter season.

Ambiente is a great course. My friend had a medical emergency so missed playing the links in Scottsdale!

Great course that was in great shape when I played.

Played there yesterday at the Padre course through golf now so the green fees were highly discounted. Course was in great shape especially considering it was August. Staff was very friendly much like at the Camelback inn. Overall a very good experience.

Course was in GREAT shape for time of year (june - record temps) Club house staff where fantastic and made you feel welcome as where on-course marshalls. one of our group got a Hole in One and the club bought US (8) all a round of drinks.!No issues at all and will definately be returning.

Staff members are great and field is great.

Previously I thought the conditions could have been a lot better and could use a remodel/different turf. I noticed the driving range had better conditions.

Disappointing.Here are the details: We are staying at the Marriott Camelback Resort. I definitely want to play golf but dont have my clubs. In the room, theres a card that says we have complimentary range balls. Also, club rental is waived. So, Im thinking it doesnt say explicitly what those clubs are for...playing the course or hitting range balls. Its left up in the air; could read it either way. The best I can say is its unintentionally vague; the worst that its purposely misleading. Sure enough, when I book my tee time (2:40) and arrive early to hit balls, Im told the complimentary use of clubs is for the range only. No worries. I figured as much. So I pay the $40 rental. Oh, can I play the Padre course? Less expensive, probably less challenging? Oh, Padre is closed. Have to play the more expensive one. No problem. Can I walk? Oh, no. Not really. No worries. Ill just take grab the cart and go hit some balls on the range. Range closes at 2 p.m. Sorry. Well, Ive got the cart and my clubs, so Ill hit a few putts. (At this point, Im amazed that hitting a dozen practice putts doesnt get derailed.) Onto the first few holes. Hmmm. The GPS seems to be giving me pin positions that are contrary to what my eye sees. GPS says pin is back; my eye can plainly see pin is up. So, Im pretty much over clubbing or under clubbing at holes 1 through 4 before I totally abandon the thing. Oh, one other thing: cart path only (CPO) makes playing infuriatingly long and slow: hit the ball down the fairway, drive, park, walk 40 yards to ball; hit it, walk 40 yards to cart. Fairway didnt feel wet. Oh, well. What really has me thinking this place just isnt up to snuff was the lack of sand in the bunkers. Wow. Like an underloved, under-funded muni. Four or five times I bounced the sand wedge on the thin layer of loose sand in the bunkers. Had I been playing my own clubs, I know how to turn the wedge to rectify this and take very little sand. Alas, I was using their clubs, the ones I was paying for, despite seeing the nice little card in my room that said, vaguely enough, complimentary club use. Maybe they were right...should have just stuck to the range...if it hadnt closed early that day.
