CineMasterpieces is the absolute best! If you are looking for quality movie posters, especially if you are looking for original print movie posters, look no further than CineMasterpieces! My parents had an original print poster for a film entitled High Society with Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra and lost the poster to a bad fire. I was searching for a replacement for them, but originals are very hard to come by. If it werent for CineMasterpieces, I dont think I would have found an original in good condition. Not only is the quality there, but the people who run CineMasterpieces are also extremely friendly! When I inquired about the film poster, I received an email back so quickly, and they were nothing but sweet. Seriously, they are the real deal. My parents were so surprised by the poster when it arrived, and they said it was better than the one they had. I cannot recommend CineMasterpieces enough. Thank you so much for the poster!

Excellent experience from end to end. I purchased my first original vintage poster directly from the CineMasterpieces web site and Im extremely pleased with the results. The poster arrived in better condition than I expected. His grading system is very straight forward and his communication is clear - both in his emails on his web site. Shipping internationally was prompt and when the tube arrived it was rock solid. David doesnt mess around and was very thorough on the customs form. The poster itself was linen backed properly by experienced hands. Im looking forward to purchasing more posters in the near future. Thank you David/CineMasterpieces!

Wish I had the option to give more than 5 stars!! Awesome website! The best assortment of vintage movie posters on the web. If Dave doesnt have it, he can get it for you. A one-stop shop for your poster collecting needs including linen mounting and framing. Years from now when people ask where did you get that great poster? youll hear I got it from Dave at Cinemasterpieces. WOW!!

*Okay, I’m going to rewrite this review and confine it to my experience. I’m not changing anything about the review other than to leave out stuff about his prices and the opinions of other professionals, because I’d rather confine it to my experience and not pull anybody else into this, because I honestly don’t know what to make of him suddenly accusing me of damaging the poster, in our emails he just kept insisting that I ‘Leave it rolled up for a while and it would fix itself’ and that ‘after proper framing/flattening it won’t even be noticeable’ which several other people in the business who had viewed photos of the creased poster told me was not accurate, and that it needed to be redone. And then he told me that ‘No linen-backed poster is perfect, don’t worry about it.’ And kept insisting that I not send it off to have it redone, which just seemed really strange, as it was obviously heavily creased and even from a layperson’s viewpoint it didn’t seem like something that would ‘fix itself’.So yeah, I’m editing this review a bit, just because this guy is accusing me of blackmailing him (seriously? Do you even know what that word means?) and is in general acting a little strange, I’m going to be a little proactive here and trim the review down a bit.I do have emails which I would be glad to share which show that while I was understandably upset about the crease in the poster when it became obvious that he wasn’t going to do anything about it and the instructions he was giving were just really weird and went against what I was hearing from several other people who know their stuff, at no point did I say anything which could be construed as ‘blackmail’. It’s an asinine thing to accuse. I told him I was leaving a bad review right after I told him that as far as I was concerned, our business was concluded since he was giving such weird instructions and wasn’t standing behind his work. And that was the last email between us, and the only time I said I was going to leave a bad review based on his handling of the situation, which is my right to do. At no point in our emails did he even suggest he thought I had damaged the poster, he just kept telling me to roll it up and leave it for a while, and to ‘not worry about it’. And at no point did I ‘threaten’ a bad review in exchange for anything, it’s completely ridiculous. I did ask for a partial refund of $250 (which would cover most of the cost of having it redone) and I was ignored, not ‘denied’.So any way, here’s the edited review.I sent a very rare and valuable vintage poster to him to be linen-backed, believing the most expensive place would offer the best quality. When I received it back several weeks later, there was a large crease on the bottom which pouts out when the poster is unrolled and laid flat; the crease is deep through the poster itself and the linen backing, which was likely (according to other professionals who viewed the photos of this) due to carelessness on the part of the restorer. His response was that I should leave it rolled up and it would disappear. This sounded utterly ridiculous to me.To add to this, when you go to Cinemasterpieces website, the section on sending posters to them is adamant about using Registered Insured mail to send valuable posters to them. However, when he was sending it back to me, he used the cheapest option available without consulting me. I had to order him to use Registered Insured mail (which he did not do, he only added insurance), and he did not send me a tracking number, I had to ask for this. If I hadnt noticed this and demanded insurance, if the poster had been lost or damaged I would have been out of luck, and keep in mind this poster is worth several thousand dollars. In the future I will AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

Today I received my latest poster from Cinemasters and its beautiful. Ive purchased about 25 posters from various dealers and auction houses on several different continents in the last 90 days and Daves are by far the highest quality. Each of the posters are over 40 years old and look AMAZING. The linen backing on the posters I received from Cinemasters is also a much higher quality than any Ive received so far.Im new to poster collecting but as with any large purchase I expect honesty, high quality and a fair price. So far Cinemasters is batting 1000in my book.
