A great stop to make if youre in the area or heading to santa Cruz board walk. If you have even a small interest in cars, history, and accomplishments you will enjoy this stop! Its split up into the car showroom, museum, and viewing area for the restoration shop. Just walk in, sign the guestbook if youd like, and enjoy the stories that Canepa brings and beauty of the cars.
Great museum with very cool cars and motorcycles. They often do work for celebrities too!
Wow!... Let me rephrase that, WOWwww!!Kid in the candy store does not give you and honest feel for what this place is does and has a reputation for. First of all lets start with the owner hes been racing Porsches since he was old enough to drive.Having a passion for Porsche means that they will have a lot of Porsches in here.. but wait did I mention to 959 you know that poster you had in your bedroom with a kid read with a Spanish style house 959 parked outside? Yeah so the 959 was illegal to own the roads and these guys help bring it to the US.Beyond that they have modified the Porsche to modernize it and essentially keep it running. I dont know how many there are out there I believe under 350, suffice it to say that I on my visit, saw no less than 7 Porsche 959s. In fact, Porsche now allows these guys to badge these cars when modified, with their Porsche badge!!In fact, they, Porsche even comes to these guys for help when they cant solve the problem on a 959 that they have in the world. This could wrap up this review right now and be sufficient to mark this place as he must go to but wait theres more...You can go on most any weekday or any Saturday and you the museum which is two floors. On the first floor you have cars that are for sale anything from $60,000 upwards of 10 million dollars. From a Porsche that is one of four in the whole world to Ferraris, mercedes-benzs, BMWs, Austin-Healey, and most things in-between including cobras.Upstairs youll find the racing Museum where youll see 914 s 917 964, 934, 952 and a whole host of Indy champ Open Wheel Dragsters and other cars.I was fortunate enough to go through the shop on the store were not one drop of oil is on the floor where every single tool is arranged neatly on the workbenches where work is put in Ziploc bags and labeled neatly simply this is a place where you can see all the cars you wished for in real life go go go go go!!!!Need I say more?
What an incredible collection of pristine condition automobiles! Truly amazing facility, stop by if you get the chance. Some very rare stuff in there, as always.
Bruce is a sponsor of our races for charity. Awesome dude!
Extraordinary free museum, showroom, and shop view of exotic cars with a special emphasis on Porsche.
This is a world-class car workshop. We went to visit for the Car week and I was really impressed!!
Went there for the famous Canepa CarsnCoffee and I was not disappointed. Apart from the event the motorsport museum is really nice and in general the workshop is quite interesting and impressive. Happy to get there by chance :) Thanks for the coffee!
One of the best collections of fabulous cars for sale as well as significant race cars in the Museum.
Cool place if you want to check out both street and race Porsches.
To browse or buy, an amazing, dynamic selection of performance cars. Rare and immaculate. And you can look over their shop operations as the restore, expertly inspect, clean and detail to show quality. Upstairs is a collection of one-of-a-kind racers and prototypes. Oh yeah, and its free!! (free admission, the cars cost a lot)

Stopped by on my way to Rennsport Reunion VI and boy am I glad I did. Serious collection of cars (one of the best shops in NA) and very friendly staff. Everyone who I interacted with was very helpful and pleasant. I would encourage you to stop by.
Love it. Free to get in but bring your checkbook to take home the merch.
AMAZING
Very nice collection.
Great place to buy a cool car if you got the money.
Its hard to write a review for a place like Canepa. Its car haven! The shop and restoration area was immaculate, I was amazed at how organized the place was with bins labeled for miscellaneous parts alongside priceless historical cars inside their museum. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
Great auto candy store! First floor filled with wonderful cars for purchase. Bring a BIG bank account. But the second floor museum is work the trip. Spectacular display of machines from go-karts to LeMans entries. Plan extra time around the monthly Cars n Coffees.
Canepa is a very amazing and outstanding auto museum and workshop. I went to canepa when they held the cars and coffee. And because of that, we got to see the back areas and workshop where they had all the cars they were working on. I strongly suggest to go during a cars and coffee event, although it is probably just as cool without the cars and coffee. Canepa was truly one of the best car museums/workshops that I have ever been to.
Awesome place love transporting awesome cars.
Clean, friendly, full service, no pushy sales people, unique selection, garage, inventory includes autos, motorcycles, vintage, collectables, historic, parts, service, 2story showroom, beautiful grounds
A friend who lives in the area turned me on to this place. I took the family one Saturday and had a great time checking out all the cars, bikes and misc automotive treasures there. It is one of those hidden gems. Not widely known about unless your into racing so you shouldnt have to deal with large crowds. If your looking for something to do that is a little different, out of the way and free to enter then check this place out.
The showroom was stunning and the raceing museum was both informative and impressive. It was amazing to be around the historical and beautiful cars.
Amazing selection of classic cars! Tons of rare cars from 959s to Countachs. Id go there regardless of your knowledge of classic cars.
Amazing cars and coffee! Make sure to check out the amazing show room and a behind the scenes look at their workshop. Super friendly people. We stumbled upon Canepa by mistake as they were closing, but they still invited us in for a quick look around the show room.
Best car place Ive never been. Not the usual stuff environment youd expect from such a high quality car place. If I win the lotto Ill be a customer
Well I was reading those reviews of the bad reports and Im sorry for those guys and if that stuff happened well thats too bad but all I can say is Im a nobody and I stopped in with a friend of mine and we were treated very nicely my mom knows one of the guys that works there but they didnt know that we were able to talk them into a tour of the back which is not supposed to happen but I got the Grand Tour and all I can say is it was incredible I cant speak to Mr Bruce quenepas personality but all I can say is that his employees were nothing but polite really I couldnt believe the first class treatment we were given I couldnt afford a tire off of one of those cars but it was sure nice to look at them and the upstairs museum who knew it was there!! The place is very cool and I give it 5 stars

Great place to view classic cars for sale. Auto museum upstairs and summer time cars and coffee events.
DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOURE GOING TO BE IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE!!! The manager is completely awful..she treats her employees like absolute trash and has no respect for anybody. I cant even count how many assistants she has been through over the past couple years. It is a complete hostile work environment!
Cars and coffee is excellent. Be sure to get here early and take the scheduled tour of the museum. 2 Saturday of the summer months, 8-12.

Incredible collection
They have a real gt350 . I was surprised at the selection of rare classic cars . I also got a tour or the restoration facility and it is world class.
Amazing place with AutoSports history everywhere. From the Cars on the ground to the Artwork on the walls.
Canepa - left to right: Tony Stewart, Nova Giragos, Doug Wolfgang
Amazing facility with a great collection of rare vehicles in the museum. The showroom is equally droolworthy, but the the coup-de-gras has to be the tour, which includes a full-access tour of the workshop given by historian and Marketing Director, John Ficarra, who will regale you with the most incredible stories, facts and figures! The full tour is only on a limited schedule, but the museum and showroom are always open at the times listed in the description.
Went for the annual car show and open house. I must go for any Gear Head.
Like many people, I have had a bucket list going for a very long time. The list includes things like vacation in the Maldives, hike up Mt. Everest, ride a bicycle across the western United States, have a beer with Eric Clapton, Safari across Africa, visit the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco and hike the Camino Santiago trail to name a few. About 12 years ago I had the pleasure of visiting Canepa Motorsports for the first time and on arriving back home, I added one more thing to my bucket list…purchase a car from Bruce Canepa. If you have not visited Canepa motorsports, you must schedule a time to do so. The cars that Bruce sells are some of the rarest, breathtakingly beautiful and special cars ever built anywhere in the world. His showroom alone will get you dreaming of what it would be like to sit behind the wheel of one of these pieces of history. When you walk through the maintenance shop you will be left speechless as you see the systems they have developed and impeccable attention to detail Bruce and his team have implemented when either restoring or repairing each car.So a few weeks ago I got a call from Robert Jordan who is the head of sales at Canepa motorsports. He knew that I might be very interested in a car they had for sale and he was correct. After a very pleasant and professional series of conversations with Robert, we came to an agreement and proceeded forward. He informed me that the car would be ready soon but if I would like to come down and see the car as it goes through a detailed and thorough Canepa inspection to not hesitate in stopping by. I took him up on his invitation and to my pleasant surprise I had a chance to also meet Bruce for the first time. I could tell right away that Bruce and Robert wanted me to not only be very happy with my purchase experience but they also wanted to make sure that I was going to be completely satisfied with my driving experience as well.A few days after my visit I got a call from Robert letting me know that Bruce was personally making sure that the items we discussed were all being taken care of. I hung up the phone and was blown away by the caring I was receiving from Robert, Bruce and the Canepa team. I can honestly say I have never had that experience when purchasing cars from other well-known dealers. The auto selling world could learn a very big lesson from Bruce, Robert and their team when it comes to customer care and exceeding expectations. As of today, I am excited to say I have not only purchased a dream car of mine, I purchased it from Bruce Canepa and his team….and have checked off one more thing from my bucket list. Now for the fun part…go for a drive and dream of fulfilling my next bucket list item.
Super cool!
Heaven on Earth
Greatest car place in the West, possibly the world.
This is a beautiful place, and really really good service
This is not a writeup of his company but of bruces integrity.I was working at the santa cruz harbor this last week. Where i saw Bruce Canepa and his yatch that he had just hauled out of the harbor for some repairs, bottom paint, and detailing work that was performed. Among a few repairs he had to remove the props. To have them balanced .He approached Casey faneuf and asked him,Can you remove my props i have to have them removed buy 1;00 p.m. to be serviced. And Mr. Faneuf agreed to help him do so, Casey being a ships wright of 36 years.knowing the business and what is needed to be done !Let me remind you hes seen and removed. more props than bruce has sold cars !! lAfter a few hours the task had been performed...AND WHAT DO YO THINK MR.BRUCE CANEPA DID TO THANK AND REPAY CASEY FOR ALL OF HIS HARD WORK AND EFFORT.... you bent my prop shaft iam going to sue you. What an intelligent thing to say, rite!! WORM...
911 Dreamland....you must come here now!!
If you want to see rare and special cars (particularly Porsches) this is your place
