Nice quaint place very clean staff is really friendly but thats not the best part. I really wasnt sure what to expect when I got in. The prices of drinks and snakes were not at all what expected I mean they were reasonable. My next thought was oh boy what did I get me self in for. I was blown away what great show the actors were great witty and on point. My wife and I had a great time and we are definitely going back. Not because it was not hard on the wallet but it was really good show. Cant wait to check out the other shows. Maybe even join one of there very cool workshops. Any one who wants to check something different out of the ordinary this is the place for you!! This post will not do the staff and actors any real justice. My advice go to one of the shows and see for your self

I saw Spontaneous Broadway and was super impressed. My date and I had a great time. It was so funny and the performers were very talented. Also, the pricing is great and there are discounts for people such as students. And they have a nice snack bar!

Had a great time last night at MOPCO in Schenectady. Im not new to improv comedy, but this was my first time here. The level of skill the players had with the genre was incredible. My face hurt from smiling and laughing.

Talented performers, impressive show formats, engaging classes, and, of course, delicious cookies for purchase at concessions. Always a wonderful way to spend an evening!

The actors are very talented. My friends and I had a great time. Its the first time Ive seen a show done in this manner. The first half they performed songs based on audience suggestions. At the end of the first half, the audience voted for their favorite. After intermission, the performed a short play based on the winning song.I enjoy improv a lot and use to go regularly to see a troupe in Tucson when I lived out there. I look forward to more of Mopcos shows.

Really funny, friendly atmosphere with cheap drinks and snacks! Seeing the Chortle Kombat improv show was a great alternative to the usual Saturday night bar scene.

We went for theater sports. Think this was our 8th visit. By intermission my face hurt from smiling so wide in between laughing out loud. Small sized theater makes for a great setting. Ticket prices modest, beverage and snack prices so reasonable. Absolutely a great place & talented crew.

Nice place. I almost died living across the street at number 13 at the illegal boarding house. Stathis Pappas is a murderer. And the police department victimizes people. Civil rights dont exist in schenectady. And yeah dont expect an apology for rock hard hotdogs here. just get another one.

My kids had fun at the weekend course for kids. Also we liked the family show we watched. Tiny lobby but cute that they sell drinks, baked goods, etc. Friendly staff :)

Fun at improv shows and great snacks in lobby.

I recently attended a Spontaneous Broadway show. While I have never been a fan of musicals this was definitely different. Expect lots of laughs, jokes and interesting dances if you go. You should order tickets in advance because a lot of shows have sold out lately. If you go to one show, you will see why. I have also attended Theatresports which is more like a Whose Line format and is well suited to those with a short attention span because the sketches are very short.

Ive seen the players before, but my first time at the physical building was to see Stavros Halkias set. I was impressed with the setup! Theyve got a great selection of beers and ciders, and a cozy (read: small) room for performances. I really loved it, and cant wait to go back.

This is a tiny little space with great improv by local talent. There is an equally tiny lobby with some snacks and drinks, but the location is also a few minutes walk to several great restaurants and bars. The performances are varied: some long form, some short skits, some (but minimal) audience participation. This is not a comedy act that thrives on embarrassment or awkwardness. Just quick witted, funny people making you laugh.

Such an original idea and a fun evening out!

If you are looking for good clean fun and entertainment Mopco is the place for and friends and family. The comedy is even child appropriate. Very entertaining !

A charming small theater setting. Warm cordial entertainment. Ability to move around. Variety of refeshments.

I have been a student/fan for almost a year and this place is great! Come for a show or try your hand at making things up with a class. There is something for everyone!

Some lame/sketch jokes. A lot of fun otherwise.

We had so much fun!!! It begins as just good old fashioned nonsense that somehow at the end pills itself together to have major life themes, like how the meaning of Florida is to just DGAF. Am definitely going again.

Awesome local improv troop and theaterStop by for an improv show or a class and have a great time!Also if you have the opportunity check out Crime Alley, there are not an improv troupe. They are an amazing sketch comedy troupe but they perform at the Mopco theater every so often. If you want to check them out buy your tickets ahead of time because they sell out of tickets.

This is a great place not only to see a show, but rent the space for your special event or fundraiser. There is seating for 75 in the theater with a good size stage. Beverages and snacks are available as well.

Great local entertainment, light hearted comedy

Took my hubby here for date night it was different and fun !!! We cant wait to go back ;)

Had a fabulous time at the New Years Eve Spontaneous Broadway.

What a cute little venue! Tucked away in a refurbished firehouse this small theater is perfect for standup, improv and as we attended story telling.Lobby is not large so important that people move along, on a sold out night this concept did not register with everyone and no one offered direction to he half dozen people blocking the entrance to the theater.Small concession stand offers refreshments for before or during the show. Nice option a lot of theaters do not offer.Seating is open and we arrived 1/2 hour before the show to find half of the seats marked as reserved. Only three rows of seats, we ended up in third row on the end. With so many reserved seats coming in we found ourselves getting up and down to allow this people in arriving after us. So not sure what time you would need to arrive to actually choose your seat!!We were attending for Story Time Time and Ethan Ultman was awesome as host! Engaging and funny, every thing you want in a host. Clearly, his years of doing this is evident in the mix of stories and story tellers. Some new and evident, some so experienced that you wanted the dramatic pause to be over and then some were just telling their stories and making you laugh! I believe Justin did the Cosco story, I will never look at the big box stores the same again! Very funny!!One complaint was the temperature, it was 32 outside and felt like 92 inside. Not a lot of room for coats with the seating sold out and got uncomfortably warm in under and hour. I am sure lights and number of bodies did not help. Might consider layers when dressing.

Awesome show, helpful friendly people, really appreciate and take care of their customers. We had a great time and plan on returning for more shows. Awesome job MOPCO!!!

Great place for actors to put on shows, cheap prices

A fun show in a cool space - an old firehouse. The staff and performers are all very nice. The shows are good - of course, its Improv so theres a great deal of variation in the material in the show and its quality, but generally an enjoyable experience.

Very funny, nice crowd. Parking was no problem. Intermission offered hot sandwiches, wine, beer and sweets.

A lot of great laughs!

Great show, excellent value, were coming back!

From the shows to the classes and other experiential offerings, Mopco provides a ton of fun at excellent price points. Its the kind of place you can get used to going to over and over.

We enjoyed it very much and will go back the next time we are in the area.
