I was EXTREMELY impressed by how clean and cautious the entire casino is during this horrific time. The cards are only touched by the dealer and the chips are CONSTANTLY being sanitized in the middle of the pit where its visible. Slot machines are wiped down after each person sits at them (they automatically lock down until theyve been cleaned). And luck was absolutely on my side today. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

I worked for Rivers casino for 2 years as a banquet server. When covid-19 started we were placed on furlough. Its only in the last couple weeks that we have lost our jobs permanently. I loved working at Rivers. I was only there this last time to pick up my severance check and a turkey.

Very clean and the staff are very friendly. I had a lot of fun. Ill be back.

Let me start this review by saying Rivers Casino has long been my favorite place to go to get away, overnight and simple day getaways alike.I’ve won several jackpots in the past 6 months alone playing slots, some a few grand, some closer to 15k. And in the past year I’ve probably wagered 500k.I love Rivers Schenectady. I still go a couple days a week for a few hours at a time.During covid - they really have gone above and beyond the call of duty on sanitizing and social distancing protocol.However-The issues I have begun to encounter this past week are like none I’ve ever seen from rivers.Example- weds night 12/2/20, at around 9 pm, i was scanned in at the door and advised by security (who sees me often- that they have updated hours and close at 10 - which I already knew but I hadn’t seen this guard in a Few weeks) I decided to try my luck around closing time- unusual of me but hey why not.within 40 mins- I lost 1,800 on the slots- no big deal, the problem arises when 9:46 pm rolled around and I was in the middle of a run on a slot in which I had 1500.00 invested when a VERY RUDE and DISCOURTEOUS slot attendant came to my side and told me to cash out now and get off the game- that they were closing and I had to leave.Just like that just get off the game, at 9:46, 14 mins yet till close, while I’m in the middle of being down 1500.00 on this specific game had 300 left in my bankroll on the game and felt it was gonna hit.(Which clearly by my jackpot history- my intuition isn’t wrong- Rivers if you are reading- you can look me up in the rewards system)I was compliant and got off the game despite my better judgement. I was able to walk thru the lot, get in my truck, and drive all the way to state street before it was actually 10pm.So rivers, it is of my opinion that your rude slot attendant who kicked me off my game 14 mins early is the reason I left without an opportunity to win back my losses. Shame on her.After the way I was spoken to and treated by this attendant I’m not so sure I’ll be returning.As of now I’ve sworn off rivers until a minimum of february 1, 2021We will see how I feel about the situation then.

Casino is clean with a lot of newer slots. Plenty of parking in the parking deck which is free. I dont seem to win here but Ive seen other people take home pretty big pay days. Still I always have a good time when Im here.

Ahhhh lol... my best friends boyfriend is a security guard here... he caused a huge scene and refused my entry... it was ultimately okay though bc the casino was very dark, very empty and honestly messy... chairs everywhere. It was cool if you want a real-life Mad Max experience.

Love the outdoor smoking area with slots, live band set up right inside from there with bar and also right there, a big wall of tvs with sports betting kiosks abound. Very impressive place.

Post Covid-19, the place has not lost its fun! Theyre cleaning all the time, so you can feel safe about thatThe machines will light up in the notification area, telling you when the last time it was sanitized. So come on over and have your fun back!!

Clean, safe, mask required place to unwind with slots and gaming tables. Get a small meal and drink but not on the gaming floor. Sit bar side and take in the lights and sounds. Dont forget to tip your dealers!!!!

Its a great casino. The atmosphere is not very energetic. It also has a lot of space for many people and you can make reservations. This place can be busy at times but I had fun there. Its a nice place to spend the night out with friends and talk to one another.

Holy canoli! Poker room is great. Slots are like throwing money into a fire! I dont drink so cant speak on the bar. My only complaint is how long it takes for the servers to bring back beverages while playing poker. Longest wait time was over an hour. I could have died from dehydration by then. Very clean place. Last night I went to the casino to the Al B Sure concert with my sister and her husband and we had a fabulous time!!! Yes, we arrived early and stood in line just like many others! But I can assure you Al B Sure was definitely NOT lip sync any of his music!! This man is genuine and humble! Definitely not the same man back in the day! And his boy can sing!!! And quite honestly who cares about the seats?! Who sat in them that long anyway?! And please tell me what artist will go out of their way to talk with you to hear what you have to say and make sure every guest that came to see the show last night received a perfect long stemmed white rose. Al B Sure put on a wonderful show and I can only hope that the River Casino brings him back again!!!!

First off the parking lot is very close. Wheelchair accessible, Beautiful landscape plenty of room for any occasion.Great service and amazing foodI definitely would recommend this wonderful place

Beautiful casino, amazing rooms, great food.Only gripe is the price of beer. As someone from Wisconsin, charging $4 for a PBR is kinda stretching it.Otherwise had an amazing experience, staff is super friendly and helpful. If you are a smoker, the smokers lounge is very warm and bright with tons of space to sit.

Excellent service and food was good! Slots were good. The only thing is when I tried to get the bonus on my card, it wouldnt show up. I asked but it still didnt work. I also got carded which I knew I would, had my card out so no problem but my friend is younger & he didnt get carded. Really should card everyone. No big deal. I would come back!

Love this casino, Best one I have been to in New York. Every employee is very nice and always smiling. Went a total 7 times and had a nice relaxing time. I recommend going there to everyone I know. I won some and lost some, still love it!

This was my first visit and I really enjoyed the place!Parking is super easy in a covered garage and the casino floor has high ceilings, lots fun slots, adequate tables with reasonable minimums, a great bar, plenty of sports book kiosks and good quick dining choices.Ill be back!

I booked this as a pit stop on the way to my real destination. Needless to say I was really pleasantly surprised. This hotel is clean, comfortable, modern and has spectacular unobstructed views of the river. The food was incredible. Also the shampoo/soap/ conditioner provided was luxurious. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was that I was traveling with a toddler and I couldn’t take her through the casino to any of the restaurants. I ended up getting takeout and eating in the room. Maybe that is an easy coast law about kids walking through casinos. An exterior door or takeout window would be handy. Overall I will make this a destination next time rather than a pit stop. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the food and lots of fun

A wonderful experience! Took my lovely wife to see Herman’s Hermits concert. The tickets were reasonable enough and the staff was friendly and professional. The seating was tight, as in any other concert venue, and being a rather tall and wide person, it was anything but comfortable. However, the show was worth it. Peter Noone is a wonderful performer. We would have stayed in the hotel attached to the casino, but one night stays are not allowed on weekends.Yes, I would recommend Rivers to friends and family, and would go again!

Kind of small, not as much as I was expecting. Payout could be better, but I didnt spend too much $ since it was my first time there. Would like to go back eventually and check it out again.

Well this was my first time there. They gave me $10 for the slots which turned into $15 after I spun the wheel & $10 for the tables.Well the $15 turns into $60 from the slots and the $10 turns into $65 from the table. So all in all I made out.Dealer at the table was very cool and the place is comfortable.Ill be back!

Went for concert. Seating werent bad! Chairs couldve been more comfortable. Mini bar for that section didnt have a big variety. Bottom shelf items and beer available.

The comp rate and advancement level is very disappointing...had an injury and surgery that kept me away for 2 months, So I was dropped from a black card to a blue card. A blue card with a $25 free play offer. I think Id much rather drive to Atlantic City for my FREE Room, $120 in Free play and $50 in food comps...THAT is well worth the road trip... my short drive to rivers has been like throwing my money away for well over a year :(

Rivers Casino is a pretty chill place. Granted it is not the biggest and you can go through it rather quickly which is what I did my first couple of times and I didnt think good of it. After visiting a hand full of times Ive come to enjoy the music on the weekend and dancing. The two sperate bars allow you to have a quieter experience of you prefer. I love the food shack sorry I cant rememberr if name near where you first walk in had pretty decent burgers, dogs, tenders and, fries at good prices. Drinks at the bar are also priced well. So for the experience or a date take your time going through it, sit down have a drink at both bars, you can dance at one they have live music and a DJ on the weekends eat at either bar or have a bite at that shack before you leave and take a sweet home. I enjoy them. I cant give 5 stars tho, cause I wish there was a bit more to Rivers. Maybe big sky lights so it didnt feel closed in and a little bit more space especially since I see they added more tables. But a nice time no need to gamble even tho that if their goal.

Its somewhat small but its growing. Its fun and the people you sit with at the table tend to be fun (depending on the results). Workers are nice and great place to bet on sport.

Casino is not very large but they offer a fair amount of blackjack tables, have a nice size poker room and the sports book area is really nice. A couple fast casual eatery options and a more formal dining spot compliment the casino floor. Facility is very nice and event space seems to offer good size.

Security officer was very rude when entering, I couldnt hear her questions over the loud music and me being hard of hearing and she gave me a nasty attitude, however I happened to loose my phone and two of the sanitation workers were very helpful, found it and returned it to me.

I had a great time for my birthday. I ended up making a decent amount at the craps table. Very helpful and friendly staff. There was even a free Queen tribute band. Would definately reccomend and hopefully will make my way there again someday.

The new Sports Book is open and very user friendly. All in all the staff are very helpful, the table games are decent and they have good music events as well. (Many are free) They have done a decent job of modifying and perfecting the overall footprint since they first opened as well. Ive not eaten in the steakhouse, but Ive heard good things.

I like most of the employees ! It’s great till you want a drink and no I am not talking about the bars haven to many people at them ! I am talking about how horribly awful the waitresses are ! I been coming here for a while and spend a good amount of money. Yet I have more of a chance on winning the Grand price on every machine in this place than I do getting a cup off coffee.

Attended a two-day conference @ The Rivers. The rooms were immaculate- the food was DELICIOUS and the staff were very Friendly and peofessional.

Quaint little casino. This is no foxwoods or Mohegan sun, but it is a modern, clean and classy place. I played the roulette and liked it because I won. My friends would rank it lower because they lost big money. Id say the establishment is fair and the prices are reasonable.

This place is awesome. Granted, its not a massive casino, but at least its local. Very clean. I like the fact that their slot machines are not isolated by denomination, penny, nickel, quarter, etc. are mixed in throughout the floor. Good beer selection although I wish it was slightly cheaper for draft beers. I visit once a month with my wife, win or lose, we always have a good time.

Went with GF, family and friends to see a show. Medium sized Casino. Very busy. Food is avg. but bar and bands were great. Alcohol prices were reasonable. I would recommend unless your looking for Las Vegas big.

Went there to see Dylan Scott concert seating was a little cramped. And there alcoholic drinks are like drinking water with juice. But Dylan Scott was awesome!

Had to send back crab ragoons... Very fishy and over cooked. The orange chicken was again over cooked and of poor quality.

Its a small casino, but the limits are reasonable, the drink service is good, and the hotel is clean. We have come back 3 or 4 times even though its a 2 hour drive for us. Nice little sportsbook too.

Was nice actually. We truly need to figure out how it all works but for now we still had fun.

Some of the clientele can be off putting at times. The staff has always been great in my experience. That said I would recommend going out here for dinner prices are way over the top for the sub par food Ive had at the restaurants within the casino

Dont win much but you spend a lot

My husband and I took my daughter and her boyfriend here for a quick night out after dinner. They live in Boston and had recently been special guests at the Grand Opening of Encore Casino in Boston. They said Rivers was much bigger and nicer with two exceptions: it was difficult to get a drink and most of the staff look like they need a shower and a fresh visit to a salon. Seriously. Arent these people paid enough or encouraged to pursue personal hygiene?

This was a fun place, was a bit disappointed in its size, the lack of food choices and the fact that it doesnt have a buffet. The staff was all very polite, very helpful and understanding of our newness to the casino. Overall not sure if we will go out if our way to go back.

The inside was clean, the service was fast and all around approachable! I had 1 issue with a Players Extra employee who was rude and literally threw a pad of sticky notes at me when I was signing up for a card. It wasnt a dealbreaker though.

There is a cocktail server there by the name of casi. Very friendly and is always attentive to any and every one I see her engage with. Pleased with my experience

This place you still fairly new and very clean, extremely customer-friendly and has a large variety of slots to play that are removed and updated with newer slot machines every few months well as blackjack, poker and roulette tables. The staff here is impeccable. There are also shows and many different popular music artists to see here. Its like a little mini Las Vegas all Under One Roof

We usually spend (lose) our money at the Saratoga Casino, but we decided to try Rivers. What a wonderful time we had. When we walked in we notice a group of beautifully dressed people on their way up to an event. On the casino floor so many machines were giving out bonuses. People at the tables shouting with glee from their wins! So many fun machines with great graphics. We did pretty well too, which allowed us to play for awhile. Cant wait to return to our new fun spot.

I love this casino

I lived in Vegas for 30 years and RIVERS felt like I was back home. The only thing is you have to pay for cocktails where in Vegas you DONT and also you cant smoke while you play which makes it not so relaxing while gambling!!!!! They need to DEFINITELY change both of these and DEFINITELY would have ALOT more business!!!!!

I was not impressed with the dining options here, but I was pleased by the kindness and sense of humor of the staff at the craps table when a friend was attempting to teach me to play. As it turns out, its not easy to toss those dice, but at least I wasnt the only one to accidentally send them flying off the table. Exponentially nicer casino than any casino that still allows smoking.

Enjoyed the live music, no smoke!! Clean, workers friendly, no luck on slots but lots to play from. The food at Flipt was good and fair priced. I would come again. Hotel was nice to stay.

Didnt go there to gamble I dont gamble. Went for Thanksgiving dinner. It was very good. We had a great time and waitress.
