Absolutely go. The home is located in a beautiful area near the waterfront.

Beautifully preserved home of Winslow Homer that gives you a feeling of the inspiration he got from the setting. No original art in the studio.

To realize the work done here by Winslow Homer is enough to rate five stars. The Black Point resort is within walking distance and also highly recommended.

Well maintained the lady was very nice to us that worked for the museum. The security guard was very kind and friendly.

Fun visit to Winslow Homers studio seeing the inspiration for later work and learned more about him as an artist. Arranged through Portland Art Museum, pricy at $65 for non-member, ($40 for member.). Studio very bare. have liked to have seen easel with art supplies and more personal objects.

Beware. This studio is barely available - only two days a week by reservation which are bookeda month or more in advance. And there is no parking so forget about taking the cliff walk. None of this is apparent from the website.
