Got my third Tattoo from Brandon in his shop.Awesome guy.He designed a great tattoo to make it blend in perfectly and make a sleeve for me. The place is excellent.Clean,modern, Met Joe and Em there too.I took the claim of being his oldest tattoo and Brandon took real good care of me lol We did it in one sitting. Would recommend this place to ANYONE.Gonna get my other arm completed now too.You only live once

This is not your traditional tattoo shop.I have been going to Blacksails Studio for several years now getting work done by Brandon Schultheis. At first glance you’ll think you’re in the wrong place. The feel is more like a comfy little lodge. The studio and their individual stations are extremely clean. I’ve had the privilege of spending time with Brandon, Joe Friedman, and Emily Paul and can honestly say they are some of the nicest, most genuine people you will meet. They are experts at their craft and strive to make your experiences as comfortable/enjoyable as possible.Brandon will go above and beyond what you would expect from an artist. During the consultation he will gather your ideas, goals, and expectations which he will use to create the most perfect design for you. Every aspect of the tattoo process is explained beforehand so there aren’t any surprises or confusions.You definitely will not feel like just another paying customer. They treat you like a friend. You can listen in on their hilarious conversations or take part in them, they will welcome you either way. As far as aftercare goes, with many, many hours of work done here, I’ve never had any issues with healing. Just follow their advice and be sure to bring up any questions or concerns you may have.Do not let distance be an obstacle. They are really good with catering to your schedule. Long Island MacArthur Airport is literally ten minutes from the shop and surrounded by nice hotels. Uber services are quick and available at all times. There are always convenient restaurants and even Starbucks within walking distance.They each have their own unique styles and niches. Be sure to check out the hundreds of completed projects they have done on their respective Instagram pages.Try to get an appointment or consultation with any of them. They are all extremely talented and capable of fulfilling your needs.Don’t take my word for it. My husband and I have had work done by Brandon for years. This shop is a true reflection of his vision and style. It is a private, relaxing space that is emaculate. The shop can only be overshadowed by his incredible artistry, patience, and dedication to his craft. I would not go anywhere else!

Easily the cleanest and most laid back vibe tattoo shop around. Brandon really takes his time and creates unique work. You give him your idea of what you want and you can relax and know he’ll create an original crazy piece around your requested idea.
