We have been coming to FCGC as guests for 4 years now for the SCTP Regional and State Tournaments. The staff at the clubhouse is what makes the experience always so terrible. First of all, they never have a uniform method for reserving a camping spot. They have changed their method for our last 3 visits. I have asked specifically regarding their camping reservation policies and they never have a clear answer. 6We have coped with their changes, but after this last change, we have decided to not return for this events any longer. On Saturday of the region event, I requested a reservation for the state event. The teenager at the desk told me to come back tomorrow to make the reservation. I came back the following day. The same teenager gave me a piece of paper and asked me to submit the request via email. That evening of April 13, I submitted the request for a camping reservation. I recieved an email back and it said they are not taking reservations until the first week of May. I email back May 12 and they tell me that all spots are called for and I can be placed on their waiting list....Also on that trip, we had a female staffer knock on our rv door. She did not introduce herself. She immediately told us we were parked in the wrong spot and that we must move because another customer has reserved this spot. I asked her if she was with the gun club and she said yes. We had spot 57 (she looked at her paper and confirmed that we are supposed to be in spot 57) and I told her I am positive we parked in the correct spot. She was doubtful. Me, her, and I supposed the customer who told her we were in his spot went to the back of the RV, and guess what?! We were parked in spot 57- the spot we reserved. The lady was abrasive and rude- she quickly disappeared. She never came back to apologize for accusing us of being in the wrong spot and interrupting our evening.Last year, they did not have assigned parking spots. It was a free for all. Campers would sit chairs in empty spots waiting for their counterparts to arrive. This was always stressful causing arguments between visitors. One time I retrieved a staff member to manage the situation and she said there was nothing she could do.The teenager that works the front desk never smiles. She is not friendly. Last time we were there, there was a large group of members checking out ahead of us. Once they were checked out she said, Im sorry I just have to vent right now... and proceeded to complain how these gentlemen always come and inconvenience her. Once she was finished venting, she proceeded to ask us what we needed.After this last fiasco with reservations for the state tournament, I went online to find a good contact number for someone who is committed to this beautiful facility. I could not find a contact number or email any where on the internet. So here we are making a review.
