Awesome museum. Contemporary art is top notch and the building is easy to get around, not too many stairs. Closes a little early in the day so get there when they open if you want to hit all three stops that comes with the ticket.

Enjoyed the event, the art was very interesting to look at. It was a free community day and a great turn out for the city of Savannah. Non residents guest paid, us at the moment, we learned many things and appreciated the kindness of the staff and students. So many families attended and created a wonderful environment.

This place was pretty boring to me. Unless you’re in to history and art this place probably isn’t for you. It was neat to see all the antique stuff in there and the style housing people of the past lived in. Only visited here because it was included in the admission we paid for another attraction.

There are three components to the Telfair Museums. The Jepson Center, the Telfair Academy, and the Owens-Thomas House. The Jepson caters more to the modern art fan. The facility is new and modern, but there is not a lot in there. The Telfair Academy though is not to be missed. This is their museum for Classical, Realism, and Romantic art. The gallery in the back is enormous, and houses some paintings that are at least twenty feet tall. They also have the original Bird Girl statue from Bonaventure Cemetery. I could have spent half a day in the Academy. The Owens-Thomas House is a unique look back into life in the 18th and 19th Centuries. They have done their best to keep the home well maintained, and the guided tour that comes with the ticket is worth it.

Telfair museums is actually 3 museums in one. The first two are near each other on one of the historic squares, and the third is a historic home not far away. We were able to visit the new and historical museums (not the home). The new museum is a beautiful architecturally but it was definitely not worth the price of admissions. Much of the museum is dedicated to kids workshops and it has very few displays. Also - it is mostly modern art and pretty bad modern art at that. I literally could have done some of this myself and there was one area dedicated to computer games that you could just download onto your phone and play at home. Not art.

We went to the Telfair and Jeppson Museums and had an enjoyable experience. Both are nicely laid out with room to see. We went to see the Bird Girl, she has a room of her own and it was easy to see her. The Telfair has 3 rooms of the house on display and the rest is art. The Jepson is contemporary art and was interesting. Dont miss the glass house! I would recommend a visit, pass is good for week if you cant do it all in one day.

Im not particularly fond of contemporary art, but through the eyes and voice of Mary, our docent, I now have a better appreciation for the exhibitions in the Jepson Center. Thanks Mary, you were helpful and patient with my wife and I. We also had time to explore the Academy and although I liked the art collection very much, it wasnt as enjoyable without our docent. Loved the Bird Girl on the 3rd floor. Wish we had time to do all three properties.

This is three separate museums for 1 price. The Owens Thomas house is huge and beautifully preserved. The second floor has a bridge not a hallway. The Telfair house has stunning art work and gorgeous historic rooms. The Contemporary Art museum has a changing array of art and a childrens area. The docents at Owen Thomas and Telfair were pleasant and knowledgeable. You have a week to visit all 3 locations.Highly recommended.

The Jepson Center and Telfair Academy have beautiful pieces of art. I enjoyed both of them very much. However, putting that aside, I give them a three star rating as a whole because I was incredibly disappointed with the staff at Telfair. When I bought the passes for all three museums they failed to advise myself and my girlfriend that additional tickets were needed for the Owens Thomas House and Slave Quarters. We showed up to the OTHSQ and were refused entry because they had no more capacity after the mother and son in front of us, it appeared to me, were sneaked in to the last tour of the day. We had meticulously planned our three days in Savannah, and planned to visit the OTHSQ last on purpose. We didnt get to see it, hopefully next time. Make sure to buy the tickets/reservations, or whatever they call them at least a day before.

The Telfair Museums is a consolidation of several museums that span the past, current and future. So if you are interested in seeing the statue that inspired the cover for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, it is there. If you want to see both artwork from the 19th and 20th century artists from the Savannah area, it is there. Even if you want to see science represented through art, it is there. So small in scale but very enlightening of the South.

Overpriced for the quantity of food, but quality is good. Taste is about a 3 stars when I had the salmon broth dish. My cocktail was well made- whiskey sour, its very much a typical attempt at a restaurant that combines the white american dining experience with some kind of modified asian places. but again, my cocktail was well made.
