Just found out the theatre has closed :( I truly hope just temporarily for updates for something. This was my favorite theatre to go to often. Friendly, clean and reasonably priced. A fun local spot. If the closing is permanent, it would be very sad for the beachside community. It’s just another reason why we need to shop and support local businesses.
Super cozy mom and pop theater. Its never busy, and we are often the only family in the theater. I would give five stars if there were more concession offetings, but I also understand that it could be difficult given the size of their venue. A coffee machine would be nice!
We like our little beach side cinema and the laid back atmosphere. Its not mega fancy and thats okay with us. Chairs are comfy and the latest movies available.
Like to patronize local business but the last two times that I went, the a/c not working. 88 outside, 84 in the theater. They did provide vouchers for future free admissions but really ruins the experience when youre sweating and I think they are well aware of the issue but dont warn you going in. Hope they can get their act together, really like having a nice, small neighborhood theater. Wouldnt hurt to fix their sign either with light bulbs dangling, people probably dont even know its an open functioning theater.....Update, went back last week with our free tickets and the a/c was working and it was very comfortable. They even fixed the sign.
I love the nostalgia of this cinema. Sure, the place could use an update, but thats not what you go here for. The popcorn is hot and buttery. The people are friendly. And the movie is exactly what you pick! This place is about going to the movies for fun and being with the family or friends you show-up with. If youre a single rider? There is more than enough space to accommodate you.
Nice little neighborhood movie theater. We like it for just that reason... Not Another Large Corporations multi-plex! Reasonably priced.
We are visiting from Missouri & went to the free childrens movie showing of Captain Underpants this morning at 10a.m. What a wonderful family-friendly activity for us to share! The staff was do friendly, the restrooms were clean, & the movie was perfect. Thank you so much!
Movie theater was extremely warm, and I felt for the money I spent there was not on par with other theaters in area. It was close, convenient and not crowded which is a plus for me. It is definitely a good place to watch the movies that are just coming out and avoiding crowds
Young kids unaccompanied by adults rudely talking throughout the entire movies. Also the speakers in the theater didnt work properly and could barely hear the voices in the movie.
Wow this place needs a major overhaul! Watched Mary Poppins Returns and enjoyed the film but really felt like a needed a shower after leaving! Theater was very dirty and many seats were in disrepair.
Good movies. Very uncomfortable seating for me..in all fairness maybe not for other people. Good neighborhood movie theatre.
Overall good experience. With 4 screens limits the amount of pictures. If you check the schedule and see pictures you are interested in go there. It beats going over bridge.
Great little theater. We are often the only people in our theater room...its rarely crowded like bigger venues can be. Pretty limited food selection, but lots of candy and drinks to choose from. 4 screens at this location.
Budget theater prices and service. Nice to have a theater beach side, but the quality is certainly not competitive. There was a spot of some kind on the screen when we saw Star Wars and I kept noticing it through the whole movie. $6 matinee pricing was a great deal though. They offer $1 discounts for seniors, students, and military. I wish that I could find their prices on the website though.
Well we are here for vacation this was the only theater. The lobby was very hot. The theater was well kinda not well kept. But we stayed. Our trip to the ladys room was very revealing. I was greeted on the potty by two friendly cockroaches.Also only had three movie choices. But anyway. Enter at your own risk.
Pretty disappointed. Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody there, which we had really been looking forward to. We are on a limited budget, and got the tickets through Movie Pass, so that helped. Got one drink to share, which was over $7 for a Cola! No real preshow, you know, where they have questions, and Movie and TV news, etc, just a few actual commercials. Then, the house lights never changed, never went down when the movie started. I kept hoping they would, didnt go out during the movie to find someone because I didnt want to miss any of the movie. After the movie, which was about 4:30 in the afternoon, tried to find someone to complain to, but no one was at the bos office or the refreshment counter. Wont go back. I will spend my few dollars elsewhere.
The employeese are incredibly rude, the place is not taken care of at all, and the quality of movies is awful.
Love this theatre. Great staff, prices and movies. Less people than the big theatres makes going to Satellite Beach Cinemas a warmer, family oriented experience. We dont bother with the mega theatres as we want to assist in keeping this theatre in business.
Doesnt have a clean atmosphere and the ticket prices were the same as many nicer theaters. Food was overpriced.
Disgusting we were watching dumbo and the room had a strong dead fish smell. It was very hot and was a good movie but we couldnt take it

I always come here with my friends every time a new movie comes out. It has a very comforting atmosphere and I usually never want to leave. The popcorn is great, and the staff Ive encountered have been very helpful. Amazing job :D
In general I like the place. Really fun to bike to from nearby! But.... it is pretty dirty and grimy.
I absolutely love this movie theater!!! Its small, quaint, and clean. Its the only movie theater you can go to with the family and not break the bank. The staff always greets you with a smile and the food is made fresh. We are regulars and Ive never had a bad experience.
My wife and I always enjoy this movie theater. It is small with only 4 screens but the projectors are modern, digital units and the seating is on a par with bigger theaters. The staff is great and the prices are a bargain when compared to the chains that dominate the industry. They do sometimes have sell-out crowds but there is usually room and we do not feel crowded. We could not be more pleased with this great little theater!We go to movies about 20 times a year and sometimes go to other theaters like the Oakes which we also like but Satellite Cinema is our favorite by far.
It was a little more costly than other theaters are, but enjoyed the quieter atmosphere. Great 1st run movies though!
Satellite Beach Cinemas now has digital and it is awesome. The theater still smells old and weird, but the picture is great and they are the cheapest around. They also have the best popcorn ever! Love it! Love that we can walk there too!
I contacted the theater via FB and the employees confirmed that the Satellite Beach theater has permanently closed as of the first week of May 2019. Great loss for our community. Post a reply here if you want it to stay open.
This little theater is a wonderful hidden gem beachside, the staff is always nice, pleasant and very reasonable. They always get new movies and keep the place clean. They also help the community by hosting and donating to fundraisers.Ignore the awful reviews of the people that by the sound of it were pretty unreasonable themselves, and had one bad experience. Its a business after all they have the tricky job of trying to balance keeping everyone happy and looking out for themselves.But dont take my word for it, go see this cute family friendly place for yourself and make up your own mind about it.
Awesome, clean, reclining chairs. Setup very neat/vintage. If needed help, staff has no issues with helping. Kid friendly and even has tables outside, under pavilion to eat/drink before movie starts, relaxing, or to wait for other parties to get there. Clean and kept up with.
Horrible, the rooms always smelland air conditioning never works. The 20-30 minute drive to go to a different theater is well worth it.
We loved the cinema, pretty decent. Giving it a 3, because the bathrooms were nasty and without toilet or paper towels. Also, I saw knats (or whatever they were called) by the straws, napkins, etc. Kind of weird and gross.
Cute little theater; there are only four screens. When we went they were out of butter for the popcorn. The theater itself was fairly clean and very easy to get seats.
Great theatre with the latest movies, and never really too busy. Good snack selection as well, and always clean.
This is the best theatre around. It may bot have all the latest and greatest equipment but it is so enjoyable to be able to see a movie in a super casual laid back environment that gets you out of the house. The free popcorn Wens is awesome.The management is happy to see you, so be happy back to them :).
Fabulous and convenient for us beachsiders! Never a bad experience and always enjoy the show. You cant beat the place for an inexpensive and enjoyable evening. The 3D complainer should stay OTB and go to shows at the avenue! ;)
We are so lucky to have this movie theatre close to our neighborhood, such a great getaway from iPads and Netflix! The seats are comfortable and the sound/picture is A+. My kids beg to go here, just about the only thing that rips them away from video games. I love the bucket popcorn deal so you can refill and share with the family. They always have great movies running too. Gem of Satellite Beach!

Theater isnt too busy maybe because the lights are never powered on from the street view. People probably think they are closed. Inside smells like cat litter. Maybe water damage. But overall not terrible for the price. Bring some air freshener!
Perfect for the small town, yeah its not fancy but its clean and close to home, I like the selection of movies offered. Prices are much better than the big fancy theaters and close to home, cant beat that. Friendly staff.
Ive been going to this theater for years. I saw the original Star Wars here and every one since. Nice, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Love this little gem.
Small, smells horrible, hear the other movies. Not clean. Back row seats hit the wall like it’s going to break, holes in the sealing. Look likes the purge fun house kill house lol. Just horrible
I went for the 12pm showing of Endgame, and all the lights were off and the doors locked. About 10 minutes later two employees showed up saying they were closed until further notice.. Apparently the owner failed to pay rent so the lawyers of the shopping center are refusing to let them be open.. and now Im out of the money I spent since I repurchased my tickets..
We are lucky to have a nice theatre on beachside! They have new releases, its always clean and the prices are good. Im glad its small and not perfect. If youre looking for a mega theatre, go to the mainland and deal with the horrendous crowds!

Infinity War was Awsome. The theatre was in a good location that it was not packed.
Vastly improved over what it was years ago. Regular seats, small theater, but you can walk in 10 minutes before a movie starts, get some snacks and a ticket, and not worry about running out of room. I hope they stay in business for years to come!
Very warm inside theater. They said they had problems with air conditioner for quite a long time.
Horrible, took my child into the theater and was grilled by the general manager as to why I had a backpack for him and I explained there is medicine in there for him, insulin and she questioned my childs diet drink which we brought in because he did not like the one diet drink they have to offer and she stated she would let it slide this one time but they dont want to look bad so I said dont worry next time will take my business elsewhere if you are going to be like this towards diabetic kids. We sat down and right before movie started she insisted we keep backpack at register and then I said now you are keeping my childs medicine and his drink from him and which could cause him to drop low and endanger him. So we got up and I got our money back and I have never had this problem at another theater.

Nothing has been updated since the 1990’s at best. The chairs sunk in when you sit down and the lobby felt like a sauna. The sound wasn’t great either.
Needs an update or be turned into a 3 dollar theater. Decent popcorn. Kinda smelly.
Quaint, small, local theater. Prices shouldnt be as much as other theaters considering the theater sizes.
Attempted to see Incredibles 2 last Sunday. We arrived for the scheduled first showing only to find an employee desperatly attempting to enter the building because the manager hadnt shown up and wasnt returning phonecalls. The employee decided to try the backdoor which apparently had been left unlocked by the crew responsible for closing the night before. Once the doors were open I inquired if he also ran the audio booth and could set the film up. Apparently, that is a task left up to just a few individuals to include the manager. Since the movie was supposed to start in 10 minutes and the chances of anyone additional showing up to help this young man were dwindling we left and went to the Oaks on the mainland. Id like to give 5 stars to the poor guy who was attempting to do his job this day and 0 stars to the managment and ownership of this establishment for not having a cohesive plan for how to operate a bussiness.

Went here for beauty and the beast. The movie experience was fine but popcorn was disappointing. I literally go to movies for the butter popcorn so Im sad that the closest theatre to us is lacking in that department. Will be going mainland for all movies in the future.
Meh. A mediocre cinema. Its showing its age. The seats are small and worn out. They left some of the house lights on during the show. I wont go out of my way to go back.

Because we live beachside we occasionally attend although its an older theater. But had a terrible experience not enjoying our movie and asked for passes to another movie. We didnt even ask for our money back - just couldnt sit through another hour of the movie and they refused. Said we had seen an hour of a two hour movie so we couldnt even get passes for another movie. For a really crappy old theater they dont work hard at keeping customers.
Good and cheap theatre. Got a large popcorn two ice creams, a water for $29. At a regal/ amc chain that would $40.

While I admit they used to be a place I didnt think Id return to, they replaced all the seating and sound system and its a great place now. Clean, small, and friendly neighborhood spot with good prices and helpful staff.

Went to go see (Star Wars) Solo here and it was the absolute worst. The A/C is broken, the silver screen has smudges of who knows what on it making the picture blurry and the audio kept cutting out. UNBELIEVABLE. Dont try to save a penny here.
Went to see Star Wars and the only showing they had at the time we wanted was in 3D. Worst experience ever...the movie was out of focus and blury the entire time. We brought our concerns to the staff and we were told that their film wasnt shot in 3D, so thats why it was out of focus and blurry. I would recommend you dont watch any 3D movies here, they obviously dont have the right equipment or experience to show them.
