Great experience. Really good prices, I paid 27$ for 6 hours (cheaper than any other place in the lake George / Saratoga areas) and the online reservation system implemented at the time was easy to follow and made for a seamless experience when you arrive. The staff is cool, talkative, and fits the vibe of the shack. The Kayaks are higher quality than other kayak rental places in the area, but are typical to any rental place. You might get a kayak with a bit of dirt or water inside of it. The life vests are clean and moderately aged. Parking gets limited in the mid-late day.

This spot was an absolute blast! The lake is smooth, not crowded, and very easy to navigate. We rented out 5 kayaks right before arriving and the entire process was so simple and quick. Everyone was friendly! The prices are the best in the area and Ive never had a cleaner kayak in my life.

My family and I had a such a great time. This was my second time trying out Kayak Shak. The first time I went with my girlfriends. Plenty of time for what you pay for, we were exhausted after the first hour. Bring a ziplock bag for your phone if you plan to take pictures. Also a water resistant bag to put your mask in. You would benefit from sunglasses and a hat if you don’t like direct sunlight on your noggin. Bring snacks with you if you plan to be out there for the full three hours. You will definitely enjoy.

Awesome place to enjoy the summer sun and get some exercise. A perfect place to visit during COVID. Everyone donned masks and disinfected equipment before our use.

Love this place. Definitely one of the best spots in the capital region to rent a kayak. They also have a lot of Kayaks. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time.

During the virus, KS is doing a great job keeping people apart and cleaning things between customer visits. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location, can get out to Saratoga lake if you like or explore the river in the other direction. Prices are reasonable.

Great place to rent kayaks. You can kayak on fish Creek which opens up to Saratoga lake however kayaking on fish Creek is my personal preference as the lake can be very choppy in the summertime due to all the boats.One policy change to keep in mind is that you can no longer launch your kayaks here for free. The fee is $10 per kayak to launch your own and the rental fees are posted on the kayak shack website.

Fantastic place to rent. Easy peasy. Rates are reasonable. My only complaint is the $10 charge to launch other kayaks. We rented a kayak as we needed an extra one for the day. We bought our kayaks from the same location. To charge us $10 a kayak when we are already renting from there seems a bit much. I understand not wanting this as a public launch. But to not allow us to launch when we were already there for a rental? Outside of that, stellar service. Fantastic staff.

This place is a neat place to go kayaking. If you bring your own kayak then you can launch for $5. If you rent one is $25 for a single for 3hrs. $50 for a tandem for 3hrs.

Nice afternoon of recreation with 2 of my grown kids (25 & 18). Staff was very helpful, professional, but not overbearing - even though we are all nearly novices at kayaking. Was very busy, but still was able to rent 3 single kayaks with no wait. My daughter wants to go back tomorrow!!

Julian went above and beyond to help us out during an emergency situation due to high winds while kayaking. If safety is of concern- the kayak shack not only makes sure their patrons are safe but they spring to action in times of need!!

Although it was a busy Fourth of July, my wife and I got fast service and were ready to kayak in no time. After a short wait we were out and enjoying the water. It was our first time here and we will definitely be going again soon. The price is surprisingly low and worth it for 3 hours of kayaking time. Harvest & Hearth is one of my familys favorite places to eat in Saratoga Springs. The atmosphere is very California; laid back, friendly, but without being lazy. It gets its vibe from being on Fish Creek and adjacent to a Kayak shop on one side and a kayak rental on the other along with a dock right out front. People bring their kids and walk around on the lawn next to the stream, relax in the hammocks, and enjoy the deck. The pizza is fantastic with a very thin crust and excellent quality toppings, great salads and sides. My wife and I usually get The Natural. They stress their usage of organic ingredients which may be important to some people, and they dont rely on drowning the pizza in too much cheese to make up for weak toppings or bad crust. The cheese is high quality and in the right amount of moderation to allow all the other ingredients to stand on their own. My only regret with this restaurant is that its so popular. A month ago, we waited almost two hours for a seat.

It has a 60ish vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. The prices werent too bad. I will go back and stay all day.
