Now that it is free this park is great. I recommend coming here just to see the bowl section alone

This was our first trip to this park and we were quite impressed. The track around it would be great for someone more local to run on a regular basis. The park itself is huge and they have fans with misters on them. Bonus. There is also a cafe there to get lunch. I didnt go in there so I cannot speak for their prices or anything.

My son goes everyday! He absolutely loves it..what a great way to keep kids off the streets on there skateboards and bicycles

Its a great, local option for Sarasota. Not ideal for serious skaters on a weekend. But definitely a go-to for a family morning or afternoon. With the park and Cafe right there, if your kids (or you) like to skate, you cant go wrong. Free was definitely the way to go. 4 stars only because they dont have good seating options.

Visiting my grandparents and decided to check out the skate park. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The skate park has a lot to offer with the bowls and a street section. It was well worth the $5 admission fee. 10/10 would go again and recommend to a friend!

This park and skatepark hold a lot of memories. Great staff. County does good cleaning it up and making it safe.

Not sure why this comes up as a skate park. But we visited the childrens playground here. Its wonderful from itty bitty to school age kids. Lots of benches for parents to sit and watch their kids. There is a great cafe and restroom available

I love this place. My 5 had old has gained so much confidence on his bike, scooter and skate board. All the kids seem to be really friendly and have a great attitude. Its really cheap too, once you pay you came come and go all day. They also do 6 month passes.

Team Paynes first skatepark. Very nice flow bowl. Nice mini ramp. True pool is too gnarly to skate, not a scratch on the coping and its over 12 years old.

I am a beginner skater and my friends from school and I recently got into skating about a month ago. This place is perfect, there are parts for both pros and beginners, and enough easy areas so that if a group of high level skaters are shredding the street area of the park, I can still ride in the ramps of beginner pool. It only makes it even better that its just a few minutes drive away from the compound. The really good skaters there are almost always super nice and will give you some pointers if you ask them.

Great park. Lately it seems to be run by new faces. The music they play is horrible. Play music that the users of the park would like. I had to leave after my last visit because of the horrible music that they refused to change.

Neat circus-themed park. Lots for kids to do. I liked that there was a little misting cool zone for the kids. Wish there was more shaded seating for the adults. For the older crowd, there is a half-mile track that goes around the park and a small lake where one can admire the local wildlife.

Great park. Lots of water for dogs but none work!!

Wished they could open at 8:00 instead of 10:00.Need more than 1 table to sit, for the parents to watch.Our son loves going there.

Live around the corner and absolutely love it.

Its fenced in with one entrance. So if you have alot of kids just keep on eye on the exit to make sure no one escapes.

My son loves coming here & has met some great friends who have helped him learm some new tricks. The only thing I dont like is that sometimes the older teenagers who work behind the counter use fowl language, not caring that there are little kids around.

Great place for kids and adults.Nice biking/jogging trail plus huge playground and skating area. Also has a nice little place for food and drinks. Felt comfortable letting my kids run around and play, nice atmosphere, no creeper element.

Some people in the kids playground dont pick up their trush.. Please do it !! Our children are playing there too.

A fun place to skateboard, from beginners to pros, nobody judges. Everyone is there to have a good time. Too bad the city still charges $5, while the park in Bradenton is free, but this is closer to home.

Lovely, for kids of all ages, beautiful park, (dont know about the skating part but the playground is gorgeous) my kids loved it and did not want to leave, had to promise them ice cream just to take them out of there haha. Definitely a place I will visit again when Im in the area. Bring your family and a camera, thank me later.

Great skatepark but you have to pay. Enjoyed lakeland and Bradenton (both free) much more.

Great park but its always closed and poorly run. Beginners can ride 2 hours a week on Saturdays from 10-12. This is also the same time they book parties and events so beginners loose their only slot for the week. They also post notifications about the park being closed 6 minutes beforehand so you dont find out that theyre closed you until you get there!

This is a great park for small ones and big ones! It has a plenty parking and easy to find this park. Love it and will be back again definitely!!

I love this location and the staff are amazing. The City of Sarasota has placed the park into a state of disrepair. When the state removed the helmet laws two years ago the city decided to keep the old system. The park when it was built was top of the line but has fallen behind in comparison to other parks in the area. Sarasota desperately needs an update to the action sports community complexes. There are bowls in this park which are not for beginners and can be dangerous. Overall the design is a lot of fun. The park itself five stars the city zero for their lack of support of a vibrant and thriving aspect of our citys community.

Well-planned layout. Staff is polite and other parents were telling us how positive the kids are here toward each other.

It has a nice play ground,but when my son wanted to scooter,they said it was a skater only day,witch is kinda weird,and Im pretty sure they dont have a scooter day.

Walking the grounds, the cafe, and watching my son in the bike Park. Look forward to seeing a concert in the large natural amphitheater.
