This is a great small-town museum! It is housed in an old Mill building and tells the history of agriculture in the area with lots of old photos and equipment. There was plenty for little ones to do in play areas too. I really enjoyed looking at the bees busily working in their hive. Well worth $5 if you enjoy rural topics.
Fantastic museum filled with well preserved agricultural equipment. There are some wonderful areas for children to play and participate in hands on learning activities. Theres a nice dress up area, a little horse for the kids to ride and some of the equipment is even accessible for the children and those young at heart to climb aboard. We attended on their agricultural day and it was a really nice event with food trucks and live music. We had a great time and will definitely return.
This was our third stop on our Santa Paula Passport 2 History excursion. This museum is fantastic as they have a whole room with things for kids to do! And were not just talking pressing buttons... They have a whole store set up where the kids can dress up, go shopping, put food in their carts, bring it to the check out, pay with play money... and more! There are toys, games, and many workstations where kids can play! The rest of the museums has large tractors and stuff like that, and they even had a tractor and horse and buggy set up for kids to go on! You could definitely spend a lot of time here if you let your kid just play. Theres an outdoors area too.The gift shop was nice, but what I liked best is that they sell authentic, vintage citrus labels! The staff here was also wonderful and helpful. As good as some of the other museums we saw that day were... this was our favorite!PS. If you go here, you can get into the Ventura County Museum in Ventura free on the same day! Were so glad we did!
This is a great place to take young ones and learn about local history of Ventura County. There are many interactive displays through the halls that offer hands on learning such as a general store for the kids to play in, saddles and tractors to play on, and arts and crafts tables. This museum is free on the first Sunday of every month so if you want to check it out, that is the day to go as there are usually events going on those days. The local beekeeping association meets here as well so you will find an observation hive which has bees in it year round. Last but not least, if youre looking for a cool place to go on a hot day in the summer, they have air conditioning so you can enjoy your time in comfort!Overall this is a great museum and has constantly changing exhibits throughout the year!
Kids absolutely love this place. They love playing with costumes, climbing on tractors, etc. I have fond memories of it many years ago, when it was an agricultural supply store. Wonderful staff. Excellent gift shop.
Really neat museum. Since it is such an integral part of the county I think its important to educate people
This is a fun museum especially for young children. We took our 4 and 2 year old granddaughters and they had a ball. They also learned about the history of agriculture in this beautiful valley.
Good but to use the restroom you have to ask the manager other than that everything else is good.
Cute place, very clean and well maintained, friendly staff, got in for free because first Sunday of the month, would return again someday.
Fantastic for a local, small museum. I will return.

A wonderful museum that details the history of agriculture in our county. Very interactive and a great outing with kids. They also have a lot of interesting events - where you can try local foods, taste local wines or beers and/or hear from local experts.
