Were local to Santa Monica, so have come to Douglas Park for many years to enjoy the two tennis courts, large playground, water feature, green grass, and of course the duck and turtle pond. Recently, because of COVID, no access to pond or playground area. Not five stars because not a great option for kids 12 and up.

Park is small, but its really nice. It is well used, there is lots of activity. My favorite part about it is the lawn bowling. Its a fun & very challenging sport. The club offers free lessons & supplies all the equipment you need. Give it a try...but, fair warning - you may get hooked!

I love this park. It’s so beautiful. It’s so freaking beautiful. I come here when I argue with my S.O and I pray and meditate on what I did wrong and I love the ducks there. The little pond is so cute. If you are depressed, sad, or mad this park is better than drugs. I’m serious. Come out to this park, sit down and breathe. You will feel better.

I think over the years, the place started littering with homeless people. I feel so bad, but it used to not be this way. The park used to be open and having parties, now very few people are even able to sit at a bench without a dude lying on them. I wish that nobody ever had to deal with being homeless. One of the many tragedies that makes up America.

This park doesnt have simple words to describe it, its just wonderfully exceptional and very calm and soothing...It has a very beautiful pond with ducks and turtles, there is a lot of space to do exercise, run around the park, yoga, there is also a tennis court i believe. There are two parts of the park which are devided: the childrens playground and the general park open to the public (the playground is for the public as well, but you have to be accompanying children to acces, as this is part of the parks regulations for safety). There is also space to maka a family picnic... Or just hang out with your dog.

Who ever decided to shot the water off messed up. The remaining water stinks, the turtles fesses can be smelled way before you get out of the car. Some of the turtles are dead and that is not really nice. Thats last thing I would think of seeing in Santa Monica. Im surprised that the neighbors arent doing anything about it.

One word - LAWN BOWLING. Oh wait, thats two. Anyway, this is a beautifully renovated and landscaped city park, with ponds, tables, plenty of shade, and more amphibious critters than you can shake a stick at. Aside from all that, the catch of this place is the Lawn Bowling club that meets every Mon/Weds/Fri, offering lessons and sessions for young and old alike. Ive officially found my sport of choice for once I hit 70 years of age!

Great well-maintained park with tennis court, large, well-equipped play area, small attractive recreation facility with kitchenette and bathrooms, picnic tables, and small ponds populated by turtles and ducks. Convenient to fast food, cafes, and a Starbucks location. Metered parking and street parking available, but the competition for parking can be tough.
