City of Santa Monica - Airport Park

Quite on this Sunday. I have seen soccer practice on the field and family with kids, but today. Quite.Theres a Swapmeet/antiquing located near by! The parks a little walk away from it.Today it serves as a great rest and snacks place after walking the swapmeet.

Well-kept, decent amount of greenery and shade, and it has a dog park! Cute spot to read. I come here often after picking up some coffee and pastries, just to enjoy the sun for a bit.

Great park located across from the rose gardens. I brought my godchild here and she couldnt get enough of the slides ...Although I wish there were more places for parents to sit !!!

I love the view especially when the sun goes down but some area dont have enough light.

A great place to take your kids. They can learn so much about the history of Flying and sit in an actual (old) cockpit as well as other small planes. A little hidden gem in the neighborhood.

Theres a great little antique and vintage market on the fourth Sunday of every month. Its held at the Santa Monica Airport parking lot. I am not sure when the show opens but it closes at 3pm. Lots of unique items from vintage clothes to home decor.

Great place to learn how to ride a bike

Great place for new bike riders to get comfortable riding!

Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, perfect place for a birthday party or picnic. They have a safe place on the back area of the park for kids to ride there bicycles. It isccx also fun to see the dogs at the dog park.

A great little park in the sand for the little ones! A good variety of things to do and close to picnic tables, bathrooms, a huge greenspace and the cement park to ride bikes and scooters!

Better if it was open

Many exhibits, planes and good place to tour and if u wanna have picnic a nice place for that

Great place but you have too look out for the bums and theaves. Be on your guard and have protection. Too many bums in the streets doing whatever they want. Not safe

Not where I was trying to go

Quiet airport. Beautiful piece of LA. But its going to be gone. Its going to make way for more businesses and even more housing. Hooray.

Great place for a day with the kids .a museum and each month a flea market and great food surround this historical little airport with football fields and dog parks and a great little area with swings and slides for toddlers

We had a good time at the small dog portion of the off-leash dog park. The dogs were generally having wonderful fun together.

Were very happy to have this park near our home. The little kids area is manageable, despite being quite sunny. There are good paths for practicing on the scooter it bike and, when playtime is done you can go watch airplanes take off, visit the Museum of Flying, or get a bite to eat at kid-friendly Spitfire Grill.

The dog park here is great has two sections one for big dogs one for small dogs the only down side is parking can sometimes be hard to find here depending on the time of day.

Off-Leash Dog Area for small dog & big dog

Cute and clean. The flowers were in full bloom so it was really nice to take a walk with the family and the dogs.

Theres a few flight schools on the grounds and theres a nice area to sit and watch the planes take off and land. Dog friendly and children friendly.

Great dog park. Large separate areas for small and big digs. Easy parking. Go to dog-friendly Spitfire Grille a cross the street after.

Really enjoyed visit here with the grandkids. Plenty of room to run and play. Nice place for picnic on clean benches.dog lark in the back. Plenty of parking and not too crowded during the week so great place for smaller kids. Nice hill to run up and down and even some clover to look for flowers.

Descent small-sides soccer fields with a small park attached.

I went here with my 16 month old. The park has a lot of sand, so I was not a fan of that. It is neat that you can watch planes land and take off, though.

Clean and quiet.

Impressive soccer fields! They have lighting to support night games. Picnic areas next to the parking are clean and well maintained. Parking is limited in the area so plan for a little extra time.

Dog park is well maintained and has trees that provide shade as well as benches and some other seats to relax on while your dogs play.

Was there for a meeting. This place has a lot of history worth seeing. Brings back memories of when my mother worked for McDonald Douglas aircraft there when I was growing up.

I am a pilot and was visiting my old instructor, I love the place.

I could watch planes all day. My kids looked forward to eating Jack n the box while watching planes on Saturday mornings while Mom slept in = Double Dad points.

I really hope they dont close down the airport. This park is well maintained and in a. Ill location. Short walk to the observation deck to watch planes come and go.

Bring your park rangers back, Santa Monica. That will highly improve your parks and your livability. Lets clean up the parks...

Real nice park

Great park just south of airport!

Always a favorite with the kids. Pretty small play structure but usually not too crowded.

Didnt like it because the soccer fields are unavailable to the public with no notice on description.

Loved the dog park.

Love this place. But most of my neighbours hate it. Its in the process of closing, maybe. For watching planes land and take off, sit on the deck above the restaurant that faces the tarmac.

Beatiful beach city, lots of places to vost and have fun with or without the family.

Its a nice park. Soccer, picnic, playground, dog park are all very well maintained. There are several things to do, i.e. Museum of Flying, Spitfire Cafe, etc.

The Airport Dog Park is a great place to have in our SM neighborhood....Very spacious with friendly dogs and D owners. Today, my Lugo played with many dogs, ran around, drank water....etc :) . I recommend to all dog owners!On Santa Monica wish list now: is to have a section in SM beach for our dogs. My Labradoodle will love it!

Great location, park is fenced in, has built in shade and seems well maintaned. Good picnic benches and bathroom facilities. If you like watching airplanes you can also head over to the SM Airport flight deck and sit on the bleachers to watch the planes take off and land.If youre a Mar Vista resident, you can take advantage of the neighboring dog park (bring your dogs registration and proof of residence to the SM. Animal Control center).

The field for sports is a new technology they are developing, the first 3 weeks it blew away, waste of a million dollars. The wind blew away the field and nothing has changed. All that was left was larger rock pieces no more small pieces that the wind took. Please dump some sand and come fix the field. No rubber, which has had studies that came out recently stating high cancer rates in athletes on the fields.

Perfect for the little ones since this is a gated playground and fun to watch the airplanes take off, however, my big ones (8-12 yrs old) were bored.

I love the dog park there are alot of nice people there and they treat Doggone Cindys dog walking service very nice. The problem is only a few of my dogs have santa monica license so I cant go very often.
