New in town and found this club via Yelp close to our hotel. Great little venue and on the whole very good comedians. I thought it was amazing value and well run. You cant go wrong at this price and a really funny evening.

We enjoyed the show. It was a mix of male and female comedians, totaling 6. We had some great laughs. You go down the stairs to a small bar, have a drink then go into the stage area. Its reasonably priced and a great time. Check it out!

If you want to sit back with some good laughs and lively entertainment. Stop in for Pass the Mic. You will not be disappointed.

The show was hilarious and pretty cool for my first time at stand up comedy. The atom sphere is really nice and the service is good.The catch to the tickets being so cheap is that they get you with drinks u have to buy 2 drinks and I think the drinks are over priced

Westside Comedy Theatre is one of the most impressive, entertaining comedy clubs in LA! Conveniently located just off the Third Street Promenade, the venue attracts a strong pool of talented performers and their ticket fees are extremely reasonable. Recent performers include Howie Mandel and Preacher Lawson!One of the best parts about Westside Comedy? Their excellent staff, including management, A/V leads, class instructors and bartenders. There is no drink or food minimum, which is extremely rare for the comedy club scene, however, they have a great selection of beers on tap.I highly recommend renting the space for a special event. We rented the theatre for 2 hours for my husbands birthday and had a fantastic time. We did an open-bar and brought in food for our guests.Pro Tip:- Rent the space for a special event- Eat before, because they only sell light fare like chips/candy- Sit up front so you get the full experience!

Discovered this venue through a friend who took their stand up class and am very grateful for it. It’s intimate, comfortable, and the drinks are cheap. Good names are always coming through which makes the smaller size of the venue a bonus. I love the Neal Brennan’s Friends show, great comics working through new material so it’s even more personable and fun.

Super fun evening for tourists and locals alike.Tips:- Note that entrance is in an alley off third street rather than on the main promenade.- Eat before you go - there is no hot food served (only packaged candy or chips). Does include nice selection of beer on draft and a full bar.

My favorite comedy theater outside of Hollywood and maybe just in general. Theyre friendly and highly talented here. They teach improv and other classes as well, and theyre underrated. Theres a true sense of community at Westside and its wonderful.

Great comedy club with a terrific lineup of famous comedians and up and comers looking to make a name for themselves. I first went here back in 2009 and 2010. Each time was great. I will definitely come back the next time Im in NYC.

I saw Neal Brennan & His Friends here and it was a ton of fun. Definitely worth the 10 dollars. It seems like this place is great for all of those interested in comedy. Show up 15 minutes before a show to get a good seat. I recommend sitting in the middle in the 2nd row since the first row is a bit close to the stage.

After a chance meeting in a bar in New York with comedian Dave Heles I was invited to catch one of his shows when I was next in LA. Fortunately about a week or so later while staying in Santa Monica he was set to performe at the west side comedy theatre.Himself and the fellow acts where all first rate, did not disappoint and left with a saw stomach from all the laughter.Get in early to get a seat and book ASAP to not miss out on tickets as it’s super popular.So funny and definitely worth a visit when in LA.

Such a fantastic comedy theater! Improv night is on mondays starting at 8. They start with the amateurs, but they certainly all felt like pros. I laughed for like 2 hours straight. And the entrance is only $6, which is totally worth it for the entertainment.

Great little hidden gem in Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade. They put on improv, sketch and stand-up shows that bring in great talent as well as showcase new performers from their training program.Not to be missed!

Interesting workshop and activities you can find here for free. The front desk was very helpful and polite.

Decided to go out for a fun night with my wife to see some stand up. Unfortunately we ended up watching something called Improbable mission. Basically a wanna be whose line is it anyway with four comics. Kinda seemed like 4 friends playing a game and we were all forced to watch. On the tv screen, the likes of Adam sandler, Larry David and Michael che were shown as previous guests. I came in with the lowest expectations and didnt expect any big stars. So we thought, ok that sucked but hopefully they got some talent after an hour and a half of torture. Nope. Bomb after bomb. Would not return.I also find the ratings of this place to be off being that it has nearly 5 stars. Maybe I just went on a really bad night or these guys are good at removing less than good reviews.

A really nice intimate comedy theater. The entrance is in the alleyway, and can be a bit hard to find. The bar is well stocked too.

After 7 years living in Santa Monica I finally came here and it was fantastic! We went to an improv show and it was very well done. The club is small but cool and there’s a bar for you to get a drink at before and afterwards. Will 100% be back soon.

Comedy on the west side. Its the only place in the area to see improv and stand up. They also have classes and open mics. They dont book names like the Improv or Comedy Store but you dont have to drive across town for a laugh. They only serve wine and beer.

This is a very small space and any event will fill up the limited amount of seating fast so get there early. Due to its limited capacity, expect popular stand-up events to sell out fast. Despite its small, cramped location, it makes for a great stand-up environment. It has the dive bar appeal and you can really see the comedian up close and personal.

Put up a show here. Worked my butt off promoting it and then their ticketing site went down hours before the show and rather than take responsibility for all the lost ticket sales they just said screw it and let me take the hit.

Th MI theater is located in an nondescript ally near the 3rd street Promenade. They tend to have 3 shows on Friday, and 4 on Saturday, amongst other types of shows throughout the week. I really loved the Mission Improveable show on Saturday. Its a short form improv comedy show that is really enjoyable and unpredictable. I also went to two weekend 11:30 comedy shows. While these were two very different types of shows, both were not very funny. On the plus side, I got into both of those for free, so I cant really complain. All in all, be sure to visit for the Mission Improveable show, and youll have to option to stay to sample the later show.
