The course is in terrible shape... I am really appalled that they would charge $69 for 18 holes on this course. It’s my understanding that the course is coming back. Had I traveled with the hopes of playing golf here and saw it today I would have been so mad. Staff was great, super friendly and eager to assist where needed. The municipal courses in Santa Fe are much better.

Towa is in great shape with beautiful fairways and greens. The course, like most during the stay-at-home orders, has been well-maintained and benefited from a quiet rest. Most importantly, the Towa staff has placed the highest priority on golfers safety and health with excellent protocols in place.Note: I took these photos, and they have not been altered.

Wow I now remember why I havent played this course in YEARS. Aside from the Towa being in terrible shape, the lady at the front desk today is profoundly rude and acerbic. Sorry for patronizing your course today, maam! I wont do it again, I promise!Maybe put some friendly people with social skills at the front desk? There is a reason Towa is universally loathed by Santa Fe golfers. I can almost overlook the terrible fairways and ground under repair on every hole but when you couple that with awful customer service you alienate people and make them feel bad. David Johnson and Lori were cool, short haired mean lady today not so much. Towa needs help!

Just want to say thank you to Towa for welcoming disc golfers on the course. We had a great time. Service was exceptional. Overall experience could not have been better. We will be back every weekend, when life permits.

Very fun course for a decent price. The areas around the greens were a bit beat up and the tee boxes were mushy. Other than that the course is challenging with gourgeous views of the NM landscapes.

My husband and I stayed at the Buffalo Thunder hotel and had high expectations of the Towa Golf course only to find it it rough shape. Fairways were barren and beat up. Such beautiful views, so worth the green fees. We played the Boulders and the Valley courses.

Professional and courteous staff. Relaxed dress code so everyone feels welcomed.

Towa is always awesome, but this round having been closed for some time made it that much more enjoyable. Fairways perfect, rough was groomed but still rough. All and all my #1 northern NM course!!! Clubhouse staff friendly, Marshall on point. Couldnt ask for a better all around experience.

The Pinon course is tough but beautiful, the greens, fairways and tee boxes are in great shape, the staff is very cool.

This casino and hotel was so beautiful. Its in such a beautiful location in the hospitality was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay and I definitely will be back

Did not play golf but I have heard the course is excellent. We visited the lobby of the hotel to see the artwork and to check out the casino. Magnificent art collection and the staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Dont trust the pictures. This course shouldnt be open. The fairways are horrible. They have cows grazing on the course. My grass in my yard is better kept.

27 holes of fun! The course was in pretty good shape. Still had a few holes recovering from drought but still very playable. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Price was very affordable, and discounts for second round makes it a great place to spend the whole day. Nice spacious bar and grill in the clubhouse. It definitely should be on your play list if your in the area.

Probably one of the better golf courses in this area. Last year they seem to suffer a bit in the greens reflected that. However Ive seen major improvements so far this year and look forward to some nice rounds of golf. The club caters to customer needs. The carts are well-maintained and make the day even more pleasant. Not too sure about the restaurant because I havent really eaten there. The Pro Shop is well-stocked and attractive.

The greens are excellent. Unfortunately, the rest of the course is not very good. The areas around many of the greens were bare ground. The fairways were mushy in many places. Standing water pools were discolored which made it look polluted. I found out later that they have trouble getting water to penetrate the soil. The fairways were many different shades of green and yellow which was also attributed to the water problem. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This has to be the worst kept course I have ever played. The fairways are horrible. Dirt, weeds and just horrible conditions. They actually were cow patties all over the course. They are actually letting cows graze on the course. Dont waste your money here.

The casino was awesome but I give 2 stars for the worst casino food Ive ever tasted except the deli down stairs they are awesome!! And the food is better....

Fun place to play, course is a good challenge and makes you play a variety of shots. Good service and nice people. No cart person driving around so stock up on your drinks before you head out.

I visited the casino, didnt like the food there, tried different food places, didnt find one that was good, I wouldnt go there again, not even to gamble. The machines dont pay out.

The golf course has elevated patches overlooking the Santa fe hill slopes and is a nice quite place for beginners.

Close this place please. Repair your fairways and bring the course back up to what it use to be. The condition of the course is so poor.

I am writing a review after playing the Towa Golf Course yesterday October 22, 2019: I am giving one star for the friendly staff and one star for the excellent greens. Now the rest of the course was in very poor condition, and this course is not plush and green like the video depicts on the Towa website. In all fairness more evidence that the high desert climate of this region does not bode well for growing golf course grass. Fairway grass was sparse and very hard ground, what grass was there was many shades of a strange yellow, lots of rocks and dirt showing. The very poor conditions made this demanding course very unenjoyable. They are definetly over charging for these poor conditions. And I am not impressed with Hale Irwins design, he was a much better player than designer. Save your money fellow golfers, and just go soak at Ojo Caliente.

Beautiful ! Stunning views, unique topography challenges and exacting greens. Not to mention you should keep your ball in the fairway. ;o) Good price too, and new(ish) management making every effort to keep the course in tip top condition (yay Linda!) Well worth the trip.

Beautiful golf course, and Santa Fe just 10 miles away.

We booked a tee time for 820, they erroneously moved it to 830 without any notification. When we called the golf shop to get clarification, none was given, and when we attempted to cancel, the clerk hung up on us. We called back to confirm it was cancelled and got the following response if 10 minutes means that much to you, go play elsewhere. Linda was the attendants name. Worst experience Ive ever had at a course. Pathetic service, I guess profits dont mean anything to these people.

Very nice course. Fairways & greens were in great shape. Love the hole #9, par 3 with a 100+ drop from tee to the green. Awesome time. Could only play 18, but its a 27 hole course.

I was so excited to finally play at the Towa Golf Club . TheValley and Pinon courses were beautiful, but we were never offered the Boulder. Apparently thats the one that would have been off the charts! I have to say that I was extremely disappointed to have to use a porta John that hadnt been serviced and really smelled like a third-world experience. After making the turn and going into the clubhclub for a cold beer, we all waited for someone to serve us a beer . No one knew how to make a cranberry and soda and when I was served my beer, it was just colder than room temp! I have to say that I was embarrassed to have suggested we meet there for our 30th reunion!

Staff at the pro shop and in the restaurant were top notch and as nice as could be. Nice driving range. The course itself was very very challenging and due to some sort of water problems going on the fairways and especially the rough were in dire straits. Too many tee box options and at least half the tee shots were blind. Greens were in great shape but very fast and hard to read. Overall it was a wonderful adventure.

Crappy conditions! Tee boxes are soggy and overgrown, fairways are either soggy, bare, or taken over by clover. Greens are great if theres grass on them, but some are literally hard pack dirt. Hadnt played here in ten years because the drainage was awful then. Its only gotten worse. Finishes a round at 4:45 and the clubhouse, bar, and restaurant were closed! Glad the green fees were only $35, but theres better options for your money in Santa fe .Go to Marty or the Country Club.

This course is gorgeous, and I have played all three 9s a handful of times now. I have another trip scheduled for this weekend. It is a desert course, so it will be fairly unforgiving if you arent on the fairway. However, they do a nice job maintaining the fairways and a particularly good job with the greens and short fringe. The three courses are distinct and each presents it own challenges, although the various elevation changes and mid-fairways arroyos and canyons call for a great deal of skill. Be sure to bring quite a few extra balls.The service has also been very good. I drive in from a long way off; someone on the phone can always reliably book a tee time and tell me if there are any tournaments or other events which would making playing difficult. The grill is merely so-so and somewhat slow, but the beer cart does a reliable job of coming around with quite a few choices. Both of the hotels on property will also run you up to the course in a golf cart if you are staying there. All told, this is an excellent place to play golf and take a long-weekend style vacation.

Nice layout, good greens, but fairways really patchy at best. Carts with gps and youll need them because of blind shots and yardages. Go for the views and tolerate the course conditions.

The course was is terrible shape. All of the greens had big patches of grass missing. Fairways were choppy and lots of dirt spots. The pro shop staff was unfriendly and rude (except Manny in the restaurant, he was nice). We had called a head to play a specific course there and when we arrived we were told we couldnt play the boulders course. Went to where the pro shop guy told us to go. He chased us down and said we were in the wrong place and wed potentially need to wait to tee off even tho we went right where he told us to go. Will not return. Way over priced for what you get.

Great course! But Elliot at the pro shop is having his second bad day! Gruff and not so friendly for a destination golf course and its a bad look to assume people are bringing in alcohol in their coolers! 2 people looked in mine .... guess they wanna be sure we pay the $30/6 pack at the shop! Had a much more positive experience with the pro shop two years ago ... overall a great spot

Had the most wonderful Christmas party in the Tewa banquet room at the Buffalo Thunder Casino Resort Hotel. The food was excellent, and the service was wonderful. Would highly recommend Buffalo Thunder for any event.

Its ok, but I hope they manage the grass often. You may have a problem to find your golf ball.

I know its winter conditions for golf but I dont know that I have ever seen greens where the grass is longer than most fringes that Ive seen also making a 2 hour drive at least twice a year and have yet to be allowed to play the signature hole on Boulder, very disappointing! Very beautiful scenery though and I will say that I do enjoy the course.

Very dry this year and definitely not busy. Its probably a simple course but still enjoyable.

Excellent hotel with beautiful indoor pool. It has outdoor pool but we didnt check it out. Rooms are spacious.

Really disappointing. The fairways were in horrible shape as the weeds were mixed in with the Bermuda grass. Poor drainage, and the maintenance crews just left the grass clippings all over the place. I paid for 18 holes but walked off after 9.

The green are decent but have some bad spots. The fairways and rough are really struggling and very patchy.

Homewood suites at Buffalo Thunder- rooms were just the right size and included breakfast and dinner options during the week. Front desk and support staff were friendly and helpful. This was our 4th stay at this property and we will go back in the future.

Its was just a friendly place to go hang out after a game of golf

I booked a Saturday round for myself and a friend. The person who booked the tee time promised me that we would get the Senior rate. When we arrived, the clerk said there was no Senior rate, so I had to tell my friend the round would cost $20 more that I had previously told him.$20 is not a big deal, but there is a principle here which is. I wrote to both the resort General Manager and to the Director of Golf. After over I month, no one has even acknowledged my complaint.Whatever rate you are promised, get it in writing.

The golf course was very beautiful my husband really enjoyed himself it was kept up very nicely and golf carts nice! The people that work there were very nice also and very helpful we will be back.

We actually went inside the casino. We didn’t play because of no points to play for we are from Chaco Canyon. The parrot restaurant is no longer open. Too bad. It was not pricey to eat there when we used to have big discounts for points.
