Dragonfly Art studio for kids is truly magical. Due to Covid- our grandkids did zoom classes all summer which were amazing in every way. Not only creative and artistic but well rounded in culture and education as well. Oceana has an incredible knack for keeping kids involved, busy with art, while teaching them all about art and culture across the continents. So its a lot of fun but with unique learning happening too. They love the classes and do extremely artistic work with her supportive style. She is relaxed and very kind to the children thus they blossom in her class.
With the shutdown on all in-person group activities, our Girl Scout troop is constantly looking for Zoom classes to utilize. Oceanna with Dragonfly Arts arranged for a virtual art class making goldfish lanterns. All of the girls agreed it was one of their favorite activities! Oceanna shipped the supplies and arranged all of the details. Once the virtual class began, she engaged the girls with a brief lesson in Japanese culture then guided them through the craft. She was very attentive to each girls needs, checking in on all of them during the class. She really fostered an environment of creativity. My girls hung their lanterns immediately after the 90 minute lesson. Our Zoom meeting with Dragonfly Arts was a refreshing break from our quarantine boredom!
We had a birthday party at Dragonfly for my daughter. Oceanna was instrumental in setting up a creative, memorable, and fun experience for all the kids regardless of their artistic ability. She gave my daughter many options of art projects to choose from. Once they had finished their projects they wanted to do more art and would have stayed the whole weekend if they could of! I would definitely recommend Dragonfly for parties and for camps-Thank you Oceanna!
My child had a wonderful time this summer at Dragonfly Art Studio in the photography camp and the Pacific Northwest Arts camp. Oceanna and her staff always think through the projects so that they are challenging for all levels but possible for every child to complete. For camps that focus on a specific country or region like the Pacific Northwest, some of history and culture is discussed so that the children know more about the art they are making in not only technique but context. (In previous years my child has attended the Folk Art of Japan and the Southwest Art camp.) Were on our fourth summer of camps at Dragonfly and looking forward to many more!
My daughter had a great time at Dragonflys photography camp. She was very reluctant to go because she didnt know any other kids. When I picked her up at the end of the first day, she was SO happy and excited. She had met a new friend and was looking forward to the rest of the week. The work she produced during the week was beautiful and fun. We are both looking forward to attending more camps next summer.
Attended an adult studio class in clay. Great fun and excellent instructors.
The best art club in town
Our children, now 8 and 12, have been attending Dragonfly Art Studio programs since they were each 5 years old. When we take them to an art museum, they can school us on their art history knowledge. Oceanna manages to educate her students about the what, who and how of art while making it incredibly engaging and fun. Cannot recommend this program more highly!
Nice place to learn nice stuff
My son attended a week of camp and loved it. He learned so much and produced some really great art. I highly recommend this program!
Our kid just did a week of Pacific Northwest Art and enjoyed it thoroughly. She learned to make masks, totem poles, carved her own stone turtle, print art, and made a quilt square. She also made new friends and looked forward to seeing them and playing Uno during down time. She would like to do more weeks at Dragonfly Art Studio if her schedule permits. That tells me, kid tested, parents approved.
Oceanna has a great little art program!
An amazing and innovative artistic immersion for children.
What a fabulously creative, educational and inspiring week of camp!
Our kids love it
