The owner of this gallery brings class and community to Santa Cruz. The warehouse space is well lit and the art displays beautifully in the high ceilings.While the gallery shows well known artist, it also does excellent community outreach.The gallery is located inside the old Wrigley building on Mission. First Fridays in Santa Cruz are a wonderful time to stop by the gallery when other studios might also be open during First Friday.

The gallery itself is large, well lit, and features changing exhibits as well as represented artists. Blitzer gallery is a great destination gallery & there are lots of other interesting businesses open as well. A former factory, you could easily roller skate around the place. On a recent first Friday art opening, there were at least 12 different artists showing their work. I thought it was a good show, thematically the work was all in the same genre, and seemed to feature a lot of patterned work, very strongly so. If you liked the style.

Beautiful place to host any type of an event. My friend had her bday party here and it was the perfect set up. Gorgeous art on all the walls was a plus.
