OCCTA offers classes of the Arts for. Ages 3 to Adult. They have a therapeutic focus. They offer an open house that allows you to try the class. The person that explained the violin class was very informative and walked us through what to expect. We will be registering our daughter for violin. The price of the class is so reasonable and they are offered throughout the week. We are exited to have our daughter start Flamenco and Violin classes here.
They keep canceling their ballet classes with out any valid explanation and switching teachers, i dont think the girls will learn anything this way.
It is a very good school for kids to develop their skills and talents, the most important of this school is that they take any kid with and with out therapeutic problems.
Great Center for the Community. It provides great activities for kids, teens and Adults. I really recommend to come and check it out. Its a little location, but big in activities & services. My brother Alex Mondragon has attended for several years. I love this place.
Occtac is an excellent center. My son has autism. He loves the classes.
At one point I volunteered time to this center, let me just say that from what I observed and learned regarding operations I wouldnt be surprise if they lost a child from their center, someone got injured due to employee negligence or even if they were charged with fraud because they dont use moneys they get from grants and other places within the set guidelines and rules. (I got this information from a employee who was battling whether to report this fraud or not.) They are unorganized and let so many things fall thru the cracks.Your children are not safe here because (1) they have no control who comes in and out of the entire center, including the class areas and all the way in the back; (2) teachers let kids out of the class just like that without needing a parent to physically get them from the class area; (3) front desk doesnt keep a lookout to make sure children dont leave the building unaccompanied because generally they are so busy running around and on their phones; (4) they dont properly screen volunteers to make sure they can be around children (they dont do vaccine/TB check or a background check)... I could go on.There are dedicated people here but the leadership is poor starting at the top with the founder.
The children were happy singing and dancing to music. Met a young adult working through his challenges channeling through music and art therapy. Wonderful human being.
My daughter Phoebe loves this place! The teachers, instuctors and therapists here awesome!!!
Its a place with a lot of light and there are many angels that encourage children with special needs.

OCCTAC is like a second family for my granddaughter. Shes learning how to express herself.
I personally want to thank OCCTAC and the youth employment program (YEP) because of you wonder ladies (Liz, Ana,Feliza ) I have obtained so much and learned I can do a lot more than I Have ever imagined .I feel confident when I go to interviews now thanks to the workshops and mock interviews. The center has truly changed me for the better. Keep help the youth in our Community Santa Ana youth need to know that there are programs out there that will help us every step of the way.
I have been teaching Suzuki Violin at this center and I am impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication of the teachers and director at this center. The place buzzes with activity 6 days a week till 8:00pm week day evenings. The day starts with preschool activites and continues to after school activites, tutoring and music lessons. The entire family is served at this center.
Cant say enough good things about this center! What nonprofit center has multidisciplinary arts, arts education, youth job-training, socialization programs, therapeutic arts, tutoring, leadership programs and internships, career and academic counseling, visual and studio arts classes, mentorships, family services and programs, pre-k and kindergarten classes, youth arts concerts & exhibits, and a Food Bank?!!? Maybe other centers have up to 5 of these things at most. OCCTAC is the hidden gem of Orange County and still has helped tens of thousands of youth and families who have gone on to have successful, productive, and positive lives which they then pass onto the next generation! Thank you Dr. Ana for providing a place like this to help our Community in so many ways!
